It seems like a) a better design would have the connector high up inside the engine compartment, and b) a little silicone electrical grease would prevent recurrence.

My ABS light comes on in a couple of minutes while idling in the driveway. At the same time I get about 6 warning alerts with the brake lights on, as well.I have checked both front sensors (have none on back of my van) with multimeter and get 1.1 ohms. Which is okay. No broken wires in the harness from each wheel to the abs module. Each wheel sensor will give me up to .6 AC volts when spun by hand. Which is okay. So I can't see while I have a sensor problem? And why is it taking 2 minutes without even moving to get the abs light and brake light warning to come on? It like the computer is making a check and finding something wrong in the abs system.

When the abs and traction lights come on my trucks starts dragging and it’s like my back brakes lock up and I start to smell a burning smell.. what could that be??
Thanks for watching welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. Something is triggering your ABS system to engage while driving, that no good. We recommend having autozone read your ABS fault codes which will tell us the exact part causing the issue. Autozone does this for 100% free.
Thanks for watching & welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. It may be as simple as bringing the air pressure inside all four tires back up to the manufactures recommended psi. In addition, if you live in an area where there is a bunch of snow, slush, and ice... your sensor may be buried deep in a wheel well full of snow, slush, and ice and giving sporadic signals to onboard computer. Only way to fix this is wait patiently until everything has melted & dried out.

What about the other tires. How did u know it was that one wheel

Do you have to do this for all wheels?
Thanks for watching, each hub & sensor is separate from the others. Each sensor will trigger a different fault code when failed.

Except auto zone or local auto parts stores do not have scanners that read ABS code problems
