I'm so annoyed with Miranda. She used to give Steve a hard time for playing the TV too loud, but Che she gives a pass for having friends over at all hours of the night, not telling her they were married once, inviting that ex into their bed, being a jerk about Miranda wanting to be there for her son, literally and figuratively pushing her away... And this relationship is meant to be seen as some kind of growth for Miranda? Argh. I hate it.
But as we heard MPK is offended we didn't see Che as the hero that they were intended and now we are supposed to feel bad for not liking a FICTIONAL character 🤦🏽♂️ If that's a hero I'll take a villain any day.

I really don’t think they even THOUGHT about the parallel between Che’s and Steve’s schedule. But at least Steve was KIND, and not “UGH YOU WOKE ME UP AGAIN” whiny teenager!! So annoying! At least Steve was loving & got Miranda to slow down and enjoy the simpler moments in life. Also, the fact that they played that sappy music underneath trying to make us feel bad for Che??? Nah. I loved seeing Che hearing what the public thinks of them, I just hope that it wasn't done to make us feel sympathy for them because it won't happen! Cynthia Nixon directed this episode and I wonder if that is why it felt like SATC. I loved Harry in this episode.

This was the first episode of this entire show that i genuinely enjoyed and had me jumping into the streaming app to find out when the next episode airs
***TWO THINGS....*** 1. ...I used to do a LOT of "Focus Group" work (late 90's -early Y2K), and did One, just last Month, for Toothpaste...and, they never, never, *N-E-V-E-R* , let the maker of the the 'product', OR the "Star"...sit, and WATCH the commenting! (3:13) ...that Che was there, watching the drilling was SO UNBELIEVABLE!! ....and, it had the OPPOSITE effect! (cont.) 2. ...looking back at the Miranda / Steve footage (of their different Time schedules), I can't IMAGINE Miranda left such a cute, cuddly, loving, loyal, MAN (1:45)....for that...... *THAT!* ....unfathomable....
This episode was kinda fun to watch! Granted, the bar hangs very low for this series, but still. I didn't know it was the actual GW costume from Hamilton that Herbert wore, that's so fun! Also, this episode was directed by Cynthia Nixon: good job Miranda! 👏👏👏
Girl, I don’t think they forget about all these SATC plot lines, like Miranda’s partnering with people on opposite schedules…I think they’re just recycling ideas because they lack originality & know it worked before, so it’s safe. 🤷🏻♀️ I’ve stopped expecting this show to be anywhere near as engaging as the OG show. I agree this episode had its fun moments, but overall, it will never reach the energy that SATC brought in its heyday. And the more I come to terms with that, the more I can kinda just let AJLT be the slightly trash surface-level TV that it is. Now we know Aiden is returning, and I still struggle to see what about Carrie he would want back? She’s drier than ever in her old age! But I enjoy John Corbett so it’ll be nice to see him!

I am in the small majority of people that actually like this show. It definitely has its flaws, I'm not claiming that its the best show ever written, but I enjoy it. I went into it 100% committed to not comparing or expecting it to be SATC. Who I was when SATC was being aired is completely different from who I am today so why would I expect the characters to be written as exactly who they were 20+ years ago? When there are SATC parallels with this show, I consider them little bonuses and I love them because they are subtle and not necessarily shoved down our throats as an attempt to prove that its still the same show. One of my biggest gripes about the show though is that there's not enough focus around the friendship and connection between the 3 main characters, HOWEVER, much like real life, as you get older many of your friendships tend to fizzle out and you just don't spend as much time together as you focus on family, careers, etc. So I get it but their connection is the one thing from the past show that I miss.
I'm glad you noticed the stairway was the same as in Devil Wears Prada, too! 😅 That is a classic (and very expensive) carpet -- the ribbon border is its trademark, but now the name of it escapes me. I think it's French. I immediately recognized it because I worked in a home that had that same carpet on their stairs... I like your insights to this train-wreck of a show, even utilizing the word "meta"... Nicely done 👏👏👍

The old Carrie I do see, the frumpy, dull hair and makeup not so much…if you are trying to send a style message. As she clearly is. But still love Anthony!! He brings just the right amount of something special!! Harry, Steve need more airtime!!! The p-pump scene, priceless!! Harry at the shot LOVED! I like you loved the staten island ferry show! This is so random but I am pretty sure this episode was filmed at my college ( Baruch) and I was literally in class when it happened I am so sad I didn't get to see them film it. By time my class was done everyone was gone I was heartbroken lol !

The Che character commits every sitcom sin: unfunny, preachy, smug, and self important. The romance "showmance?" unnatural, uncharmjng, and unconvincing. I love Sara Ramirez and am happy they have found their identity. But Che is no Sara. I won't miss that character at all. AJLT is trying too hard to be all things to all people..and it ends up being not enough for anyone. I hatewatch it, just to see how bad it can be.
