I think, regardless of whether or not Richard never intended to cheat again, Samantha was not interested in worrying about whether or not he was going to. He did. Nothing he does going forward can erase that fact. But Samantha, from day one, has made it very clear that she puts herself first. People misconstrue this statement for a selfish one but really it’s Samantha living her most authentic, true self. She puts herself first when her friends struggle to accept her lesbian relationship, when Carrie shames her for performing a sexual act in her own office, when she decides to leave Richard, and she puts herself first when she realizes she’s losing herself in Smith. Samantha was the most REAL character on SATC. A true feminist icon.
I adore Samatha. She was such an amazing Friend as well as an empowered female icon. Carrie on the other hand was a selfish, self centered, judgemental bitch
No, because she married down big time. Plus she lost even more of her identity by changing her religion as well as her last name for him and give up her career.
Harry was lowkey manipulative and no one really notices cause he hides it well. From not telling her in the beginning she’d have to be a jew, to him not paying attention to her when she cooked, to the teabags around naked, to the ajlt series where he basically implies charlotte is his property and shouldn’t be anywhere but home when she finally finds her identity and starts working again. There’s way more points I can make if you want more
I felt like the vague ending with Richard was supposed to show that it doesn’t matter really if he does or doesn’t again, the trust has been lost and that fear in the relationship just isn’t healthy
Love these videos. I actually watched SATC as it was airing brand-new on HBO. I was in high school during this season. My mom & I would watch the episode together in her bedroom, and we would have intense discussions & breakdowns of the episode. It was an amazing bonding experience. It has been fun revisiting the seasons in a critical manner. Part of Carrie's appeal is that she was VERY much a "woman of today/tomorrow." Her character has aged the worst. Miranda was always cool, but no one wanted to be her back then. But now, she was the most modern character. Thank you for these videos. They mean a lot to me.
Yes exactly, I also grew up on the show (wasn’t actually allowed to watch it) but would see kid appropriate scenes of it sometimes if my mom was doing my hair and finally when I was 18 I decided to celebrate by finally watching whatever I ever wanted so I was pretty excited. These videos mean alot to me too thank you for watching them 💗
Charlotte and Harry are definitely my favorite part of the later seasons. How great a lesson it is that to get everything you ever wanted you just have to get over the fact that it might not LOOK like you thought it would. Charlotte has one of best arcs for that reason, being more open minded led her to her happy ending.
"How great a lesson it is that to get everything you ever wanted you just have to get over the fact that it might not LOOK like you thought it would" put THAT on a tshirt
I don’t think Richard was going to cheat at least right away because he did seem like he wanted to try (or that’s what the show wanted us to think) but Samantha is still right in that she can’t spend her life with that unhealed hurt and always on guard for when he would cheat again. It was never going to work out because of Richard’s poor decision making and Samantha’s pain - which she admits to being deep into later on
Because she fell in love. Previously, there was "Dominic" who left her for someone else. I think she wan't interested in relationships because she was hurt in the past.
10:55 Exactly I wanted the show to do something, or for the girls to talk more in depth, because Samantha was judged sooo much by charlotte and Carrie, both had audacity and it irks me anytime I rewatch the show and see how they don’t value sam’s relationships or don’t take her feelings seriously. Just because she’s open and had sex freely and unapologetically. That’s just hypocrisy 🤦🏾♀️
Man SJP rocked that short haircut! I remember after seeing it, I cut my hair that short and man was that a mistake!! 😂 I could not pull it off like her! 😭 also I don’t think Richard was gonna cheat in that moment as well. “I love you Richard, but I love me more” was so freakin iconic! 👏🏻
I'm rewatching Season 5 right now for probably the billionth time. Something new I'm noticing is how much Samantha punishes Richard for cheating and is rewarded by viewers for it, but then Carrie repeatedly told Aidan when she cheated that he can't keep punishing her for past behavior. I get that Samantha is hurt, but punishing your partner after getting back together means you're not ready to get back together.
The question for Samantha isn’t whether Richard will cheat again, it’s that she doesn’t want to live with the stress of it. And maybe she’s more of a realist, seeing things that Aiden couldn’t. That she knew who Richard was when she got together with him and the energy to keep him monogamous wasn’t worth it to her anymore. Samantha puts herself first, but never at the expense of others. It’s what makes her such a caring, self-loving role model - even at her craziest :)
About how much they mention age: I think they have always done this (especially during the season where Carrie turns 35 and has “no special guy to share it with”) but once you hit a certain point in your 30’s you do start thinking about it a bit more and start changing habits that no longer suit you (maybe this is the reason behind all the “I no longer dress like that” line). I am currently 36 and I know me and most of my friends closer to my age are going through that process so while I am not saying we all do this it seems to be pretty common.
I'm in my mid-30s and have been feeling this more and more now, too. I do think a lot of people, especially women, start to feel a major shift at that point.
I'm almost 31 and I think about my age a lot now. I think a lot of it has to do with feeling like time is running out for certain things, like kids or your career.
I'm going to be 31 next month. A lot has changed as far as mindset and I went through second puberty. I'm really having a happy time loving myself in a way and I'm still dressing like a siren, idgaf tho😂
Can’t wait for you to discuss the movies! They’re on my “so bad it’s good” comfort movie list lol I made my brother watch them with me when they hit Netflix the first time and we would say “it’s the new Abu Dhabi!” for WEEKS after watching it 😂😂
Richard would have kept cheating. He cheated on her when things were going great and they were happy together… They were still in the honeymoon phase of their relationship. No, if he can cheat then, he will always cheat. Where would he be when she got cancer? When she had to travel? He can’t be trusted at all. Smart move, Samantha.
I don't think Richard was going to cheat but it was a wise move for Samantha. I did like them together. Carrie was aweful this season. In the Atlantic City episode she was a total bad friend. I mean I know she has a million bad friend moments but she severed ick the entire season. She was never a good wing woman and she was super s3x negative which is ironic because she was a s3x columnist. It's weird they always made her seem like she was modest but she picked and choose and shamed her friends. Like Samantha blowie and Charlotte showing her nip to the navy man. Samantha uplifted everyone and it would have been nice to see carrie do it as well. Thank you for these videos :)
Completely agree also another thing about the atlantic city ep, it was odd to watch carrie seem offended by Miranda not showing immediate interest in preserving their friendship in old age when every season before this INCLUDING this one Carrie chooses seggs with a guy over quality time with her friends and now because SHE wants to be closer to them now they have to move their lives around
@@kierralovestv yesss that part! Carrie wanted so much reassurance and validation but doesn't return it the same energy. Have you notice when they are in awkward situations she ditches them or never says anything but the other gals always chime in and speak up? side eye lol
I completely agree, Carrie’s behaviour on Charlotte’s birthday was outrageous! She should’ve showed her support when she wanted to flirt with those guys at the bar, instead she ended up dragging her away and then leaving her to eat those desserts (don’t remember what they were, some candy). Seriously pisses me off every time I think about it or watch the episode.
This season was sooooo cringe. But Richard may not have cheated at that moment but the fact she couldn't trust him and such, even if he was never gonna cheat ever again, that relationship was doomed. And i hated everything about him. And the episode with Krispie Kreme and WW was always rough to watch because literally Miranda looked GOOD she was thicc and so curvy. Beautiful, and sexy. Like she looked great getting back into her skinny jeans but the way she was portrayed as BIG was ridiculous.
honestly everything about how badly samantha as a character is treated just makes me so sad. knowing sjp “apparently” made a not nice environment on set for kim i just feel like there were a lot of plots that kinda dug at samantha. especially when it comes around to her in the movies (the fatphobia don’t even get me started) hope you touch on this aspect in a future video/short 🩷
I hate how people even now can’t understand that if someone is s*xually liberated it doesn’t seperate them from having basic human emotions. People begin treating them like a circus act and I will never understand why.
It’s why alot of times depending on the storyline I don’t mention what Samantha is doing bc it feels like they’re making fun of her every episode ONLY because she isn’t like the other girls.
SJPs son is the baby Aiden is wearing when they run into each other (while she is avoiding Burger because she didn’t have her perfect first day outfit). You can see how excited he gets when Aiden turns around to greet her
6:20 Richard had a reputation much like Samantha’s, she was promiscuous and carefree about it. She messed around with a married man in the earlier seasons and knew that they never stop or change. Even when they say they will. She knew Richard wasn’t ish and although he had the resources to give her the life she was used to, men like those always come with a warning label. ESPECIALLY when entertaining women with less money and status than him because they’re wooed by the glam. The maid was no different, although we didn’t see it, that man wiggled his willy at anyone attracted to him and what he could offer. She did the right thing. She was wanting to change her ways and settle. He didn’t. God I love this show!!
Charlotte and Harry despite popular belief are not couple goals. He was a divorced man that made her change her whole belief system by dangling commitment in front of her. Then when she went and converted he still didn’t propose and had the nerve to try to watch a football game while she was praying! Then he moved into HER house! Then when she was honest about how she could OBVIOUSLY do better he casually tells her “and to think I bought a ring” 🙄🙄🙄
Listen the fashions are either serving or lacking and there is no inbetween. As a teen watching the show I was in my Miranda era, I wanted to be a Charlotte but it wasn’t me. Even as a young person I knew Carrie was irresponsible and just a trash person in general, Samantha was so out of reach for me in so many ways. Now as a woman going on 36 I am in my Samantha era, she was the best friend on the show when you break it down. Her style was in your face, sexy, powerful, yet still lady like which I very much resonate with. She had the confidence I aspire to have and wasn’t afraid to speak her truth regardless of what others thought. Also there is absolutely nothing wrong with her being sexually free, people get it very misconstrued that you can own your sexuality 100% and still be monogamous. Samantha is goals and that is the hill I will die on. I wish Samantha got a spin-off imagine Samantha in London, living luxuriously❤❤❤
Im actually noticing how when Big pushed Carries advances under the table away she put her palm in the way she would if she was smoking a cigarette, and thats what they would do together
It's the baby face. They love to choose us "non-threatening" folks to ask these wild question to, because they think they have the power? IDK they wild
I hated how after they showed some layers with Kendall (Miranda’s new mom neighbor) and showing them connecting over motherhood, they left her as a one-off character instead of adding her to the show, which would’ve felt very natural and given some nice depth.
so much of this show HITS me no matter how many times i see it, and samantha out of breath busting into richard's hotel room is the moment today! i definitely had a moment like that a month or so ago that took a few days of introspection to get over!
I do not think it is that important for us to know if Richard was about to cheat or not. It was more about Samantha and her trust in him, the trust that was broken that time he cheated on her and Samantha not being able to fully trust him ever again. From my point of view, it was more about finding her peace and leaving the man and the situation that made her doubt everything.
Kierra, do you think Big was in some way embarrassed by Carrie? I’m on a rewatch right now and caught myself on that thought, like he married Natasha so fast, had public engagement announcement, wedding, and they seemed be out a lot on social gatherings while dating, but with Carrie he was kind of hiding? He also seems to be into tall brunette women, more “old money” fashion, while Carrie is petite blonde with more flashy, trendy style. Would love a video on that!
Oh yea for sure I do think he was embarassed by her idk if I could make this into a video bc it’s not alot to say except that he was embarassed to love her openly. She was NOTHING like the other girls he sought after, you’re right, everything you said was factual that’s where I can’t get down with Big but I mean on the other hand he did tell her but his reasoning wasn’t truthful because it wasn’t that he just “wasn’t a relationship guy” bc he was married before and again like you said he got married after. I wish they could’ve found a way to explore that more but maybe they felt that it spoke for itself
I noticed that when he took her to a party and separated from her the entire time. The one where the woman didn’t serve brown food or drinks. WTF was she wearing?! 🤦🏽♀️
Richard definitely cheated with the cleaning lady after samantha left!! But in case she decided to go back and get back together we would have a WE WERE ON A BREAK moment 😂
Magda’s weird look - I think it functioned as Miranda’s superego, saying look at your selfish vapid friends who don’t care about your current struggle. A reminder that Miranda is not the same anymore and has different priorities. Later when Miranda finally tells Carrie to shut it, it was a release of that tension. The judgmental face was a real theme in this ep!
8:02 exactly! carrie is weirdly prudish for being a supposed sex columnist and ✨fashion person✨ as she should be the last person spouting off outdated rules about how women oF a CeRtAiN aGe should dress and behave. i don’t even know if sjp’s pregnancy could be blamed for her takes because she really wasn’t obviously showing until the last few episodes of the season when they kept putting her in baggy outfits. (thinking specifically of the episode with the wedding in the hamptons
13:20 I agree, I also noticed in Desperate Housewives they had a very strange portrayal of black people (see the Applewhites), and you could really feel through the script writing that they wanted to be inclusive, but they are somewhat patronising about it and end up making them a stereotype anyway? It definitely feels like the writers are somewhat removed.
With the maid, I always felt like that scene was focused more on Samantha being unable to really trust Richard again. It doesn't necessarily matter if he does or doesn't sleep with the other woman after Samantha breaks up with him because the trust was never there.
love that you cover my favorite show of all time! and you include all the not-so-great parts, it’s super interesting to see how relevant and relatable this show is while also being very outdated. also, i do think richard would cheat again! if not then, at another time. men like that dont change and im glad Sam didnt want to put herself through that.
Miranda lives on the upper east or west side. They pay extra good money to have everything flow without any problems. If you’re causing a problem, making a lot of nose, making a lot of anything that isn’t peaceful. Either the building security will come get you together or the police will. And until you have yourself together they will keep making sure you get it together.
So it would either be her the black woman, the front desk assistant or the police. And its a safe bet that you will have the building manager speak with you.
yasssssssss kween!!!!! I was waiting for this! I actually don't even have anything to add because you said it all! thank you for another great video! xx
this is the season that truly gave me appreciation for miranda. balancing her life as a mom and lawyer was truly endearing. it’s such a shame what they did to her character in the reboot.
Yay! So excited to see another one for SATC. 🤣 Are you a Buffy or Xena fan??? I feel like those would be a blast(maybe more for me to hear your opinions/takes). I really enjoy your breakdowns on these and I love your sense of humor🤘 Thank you for making these!
I think that Samantha realized that it did not matter if he did something with the maid or not, because she was always going to be haunted by those kinds of suspicions if she stayed with him. He had already done it once, so he would probably do it again
I've been watching SATC for 13 years now and I gotta admit I don't like season 5. Apart from Harry and Charlotte, there was nothing there for me. Most episodes are super uncomfortable for me to watch or just plain boring. Which is so sad because it's literally my favourite series since day one! For me, the best seasons are 2&3 definitely. And also, sidenote, how did I never noticed SJP was PREGNANT during the season?! I've never seen it. The stylist either did a fabulous job or I'm very inattentive 😂
So you aren't going to do a segment on Steve and Miranda? It's crazy to me that you didn't talk about (in one of the season 4 parts) about Steve telling Miranda she's the one at her baby shower (it's been a while but I think that's the part)
Soooo many good points throughout video way too many to list!!! My style opinions are: I agree about Miranda as hair. This may be unpopular, Carrie's hair length this whole season is my absolute fave!!!
I THOUGHT THE SAME THING I didn’t wanna go on and on about a different movie but literally I was watching the clips and I was like “ain’t this stars hollow?”
I think the reason I don’t watch the reboot is because Miranda felt GONE. Like she’s a literal skin walker of a character…..do y’all feel me😂 like THIS Hobbs ain’t in that show
Carries outfits were atrocious this season so them trying to hide her being pregnant kind of makes sense but still they didn't have to dress her so bad
OT: But you could see what a great actress Kim Cattrall is when the storyline has serious moments and her gaze just intensifies and reveals different parts of the character. That makes Samantha very deep and interesting. Those moments are always short and rare in the whole series but when they're in you remark that immediately. Kim just arrives to get that although they wrote a couple of unsense things around her since that season 🩵💎
I think you watch the show from the POV of today - it was ground breaking at its time. I remember we always waited for the weekly installment - It was 1998 - 2004 and It was extremley envelope pushing - nothing like it was on TV
Yes exactly I can understand that at the time certain things WERE groundbreaking bc they’d never been discussed or displayed like that I always try to acknowledge that I’m looking at the show through my Gen Z lens but can still appreciate it for how advanced it was for its time
@@kierralovestv you are not alone I have been rewatching shows and movies that I use to love as a kid that I absolutely hate now same goes for books that I read when I was a teenager
6:40 the point is that Samantha realized she doesn't want to spent her days chasing Richard hoping he isn't cheating, because sexy women are everywhere and it's mentally and physically exhausting her to keep trying. There's no point because any woman she thinks is sexy, she'll know Richard thinks so too
Re: was Richard going to cheat? As far as what I think the writers intentions- I don’t know. But this is how I feel about the situation personally. Might be a weird comparison but this actually makes me think of the end of the sopranos . I won’t spoil but iykyk! I think the idea is that Samantha can’t trust Richard anymore, so they can’t have a relationship where she can relax and be content. This is similar to Tony Sopranos situation in the sense that it doesn’t matter what actually happened- it’s that even if it didn’t happen- everyday he has to live in fear.
Started watching you with the Gilmore series. I love your intake in both this and that. ❤ I’m hoping your content gets more likes and subscribers. How’s everything going with you?

The maid was no different, although we didn’t see it, that man wiggled his willy at anyone attracted to him and what he could offer. She did the right thing. She was wanting to change her ways and settle. He didn’t. God I love this show!!
I know it’s petty, but Carrie’s Peppermint Patty hair in this season affected my spirit.
I couldn’t stop complaining to my bf about Carrie’s hair
@@taotaostrong whole season is trash because of her hair 😭 I hated it
The hair. Jack Burger. Two things I’ll forever hate in SATC
@@notaytguru8214 when I saw that hair, I left a post it too. I can’t. I’m sorry. Don’t hate me.
@@taotaostrong 🤣🤣🤣
No Za-Za-Zoo huh? Lol
Charlotte and Harry despite popular belief are not couple goals. He was a divorced man that made her change her whole belief system by dangling commitment in front of her. Then when she went and converted he still didn’t propose and had the nerve to try to watch a football game while she was praying! Then he moved into HER house! Then when she was honest about how she could OBVIOUSLY do better he casually tells her “and to think I bought a ring” 🙄🙄🙄
omg yesss, i was struggling with this season, some episodes felt like a chore i swear, but i kept going for my girl Samantha...love u ❤
Thank you for admitting this I felt the same way I watched this season like 4 times for this video
Love u too (if you’re talking to me lmao)
Carrie’s looks in season five were my least favorite. Charlotte’s “harlot” dress was a showstopper.
I thought the same thing but I was like maybe I just have sh*tty taste
@@kierralovestv No you don’t. I also liked Charlotte’s Ralph Lauren long sleeve shirt and jeans. Very old money like her.
Charlotte is the definition of old money aesthetic I agree
great vid! i will say, I did love Carrie’s knit turtleneck from the first photo of Miranda’s hair like it’s so cute!
Yes! I loved it
Forgot to mention it
Kim Catrall has fantastic comedy chops.
Just wanted to say that your intro never fails to make me smile ❤
Thank you, really ♥️
Same here!😃♥️
Tysm
And yes Miranda’s hair is great this season and season 6. Mostly because I’ve worn all those styles 😅
Also I agreed with ALL of your style moments in this one, especially loved Charlotte’s outfits this season 😍
I love Coquette I’m hoping to start exploring it someday
!!!!
Im actually noticing how when Big pushed Carries advances under the table away she put her palm in the way she would if she was smoking a cigarette, and thats what they would do together
Whoaaaa you’re right!
When was that?
@@marybishop6105 they went out for dinner when Carrie and Samantha took the train to Carrie's book signing in California
@@kierralovestv thanks for responding! Love your videos ❤️
it’s no problem & ty for watchin em ♥️
Miranda was never really the same (as the other three women.)
9:41 .. Carrie has many hypocritical moments. The only empathetic, morally consistent in this series is Samantha
Uhh I LOVE that you brought up carry being judgmental of Samantha, especially pointing out the ways Sam has been a good friend to carry
Was Richard going to cheat? Yes, absolutely that's the way Richard rolls. He is not monogamous and never will be.
I believe it was Patricia Field who dressed them. She also did wardrobe for The Devil Wears Prada.
Thank you so much! I can’t wait to see your take on season 6!
Omg. I’ve always said when Carrie was under that awning with the guy would TOTALLY be me. And my friends said that was me too! 😂
Being a natural born rambler>>>>
@@kierralovestv me too! I really enjoy your content by the way!!
Thank you so much! Hope you’re doin well ty for watching
love these Videos so much, including the Theme Song. that just makes me smile every time 😊
With the maid, I always felt like that scene was focused more on Samantha being unable to really trust Richard again.
I actually don't even have anything to add because you said it all! thank you for another great video! xx
I think that there was a writers strike at the time of this seasons production and that was why this season was so short.
this is the season that truly gave me appreciation for miranda. balancing her life as a mom and lawyer was truly endearing. it’s such a shame what they did to her character in the reboot.
Yes: thank you about the comment about men and religion!! My ex husband has used “God’s will” for doing some extremely traumatic things to me 🤮🤮🤮
Thanks for the video! Love your SATC videos. All of them.
Thank you!
Found your videos and channel today....loving it!!!!!!!❤
I just wanted you to know I watched SATC because of you!! Love your videos 💗
Thank youuuu I love comments like these I love showing people the shows I watch both online and offline
Yay! So excited to see another one for SATC. 🤣 Are you a Buffy or Xena fan??? I feel like those would be a blast(maybe more for me to hear your opinions/takes). I really enjoy your breakdowns on these and I love your sense of humor🤘 Thank you for making these!
Thank you ! I’ve actually never seen either but I do eventually wanna watch Buffy

@@kierralovestv I think you'd enjoy it based on these SATC videos! A lot to talk about too o: And there's also different hairstyles every season lol
Your reviews are great! Been loving them so much
4:00 WTF that’s so weird 😂 I’m shocked that they thought that was a flex!
I could make a series about wild things people have said to me the list keeps growing
I think that Samantha realized that it did not matter if he did something with the maid or not, because she was always going to be haunted by those kinds of suspicions if she stayed with him. He had already done it once, so he would probably do it again
The best part about looking like me, is nobody knows "what" I am. Only my grandfather said it the best: "you're not out of the woods yet". 😂
I love your theme song. It’s so catchy.
Season 1 Sex
Season 2 Carrie
Season 3 Samantha
Season 4 Miranda
Season 5 Charlotte
Season 6 The City
I love this lol
I've been watching SATC for 13 years now and I gotta admit I don't like season 5. Apart from Harry and Charlotte, there was nothing there for me. Most episodes are super uncomfortable for me to watch or just plain boring. Which is so sad because it's literally my favourite series since day one! For me, the best seasons are 2&3 definitely. And also, sidenote, how did I never noticed SJP was PREGNANT during the season?! I've never seen it. The stylist either did a fabulous job or I'm very inattentive 😂
Sjp's baby boy was in the show.
So you aren't going to do a segment on Steve and Miranda? It's crazy to me that you didn't talk about (in one of the season 4 parts) about Steve telling Miranda she's the one at her baby shower (it's been a while but I think that's the part)
I find you ridiculously endearing x
The bittersweet moment was when they left Vegas in a bus and they all took a photograph 📸 I wish they were friends in real life 😢 💔
Love it. I hum your theme song from time to time
Subscribed for the theme song! :D
This was my least favorite season as far as SJP’s acting. She’s so over the top this season
Soooo many good points throughout video way too many to list!!! My style opinions are: I agree about Miranda as hair. This may be unpopular, Carrie's hair length this whole season is my absolute fave!!!
Was that literally Stars Hollow in the Eddie Murphy flick?
Samantha was the best friend in that series. I miss her so much in AJLT.
I THOUGHT THE SAME THING I didn’t wanna go on and on about a different movie but literally I was watching the clips and I was like “ain’t this stars hollow?”
it’s probably the Warner Bro’s lot, even Seinfeld has used that set once 😭
I think the reason I don’t watch the reboot is because Miranda felt GONE. Like she’s a literal skin walker of a character…..do y’all feel me😂 like THIS Hobbs ain’t in that show
Carries hair is always on point when she sees big, he blooms when she is with him.
I came for the SATC commentary but stayed for the theme song 😂
Please Kierra! Do the movies! X
I agree with you about Miranda's hair, it looks great
Carries outfits were atrocious this season so them trying to hide her being pregnant kind of makes sense but still they didn't have to dress her so bad
I feel like it all began with season 5, I mean and just like that 😑
Great video babe, love your direct style will check your other SATC recaps out- I never finished S5, too depressing and odd. S2-4 are my faves !
Season 5 was only 8 episodes due to SJP being pregnant and you couldn’t finish the season?
@@sarcasticallyrearranged No haha I clocked out by episode like 3, found it too different from the earlier seasons :(
OT: But you could see what a great actress Kim Cattrall is when the storyline has serious moments and her gaze just intensifies and reveals different parts of the character. That makes Samantha very deep and interesting. Those moments are always short and rare in the whole series but when they're in you remark that immediately. Kim just arrives to get that although they wrote a couple of unsense things around her since that season 🩵💎
"maybe hes bi!"
[flips a table] THANK YOU. The way 2000's shows treated queerness haunts me to this day
This is really good as a sleep aid. Cheers...
I think you watch the show from the POV of today - it was ground breaking at its time. I remember we always waited for the weekly installment - It was 1998 - 2004 and It was extremley envelope pushing - nothing like it was on TV
Yes exactly I can understand that at the time certain things WERE groundbreaking bc they’d never been discussed or displayed like that I always try to acknowledge that I’m looking at the show through my Gen Z lens but can still appreciate it for how advanced it was for its time
Oh god norbit is so cringey that movie totally cost eddie to loose the oscar 😬😖
I used to love it as a kid but I watched it recently and realized it was awful it’s crazy how you grow up and your perspective on things does a 180
@@kierralovestv you are not alone I have been rewatching shows and movies that I use to love as a kid that I absolutely hate now same goes for books that I read when I was a teenager
@@angelaholmes8888 I keep wondering how I ever thought they (movies I rewatch) were good. I guess limited experience and a lack of maturity idk
i love your theme song
I loved sex and the city and I loved your take on it. I’m excited to see your reaction to the second season.
Honestly, the season where Miranda's hair is nice, Carrie decides to balance it out with whatever that haircut was
6:40 the point is that Samantha realized she doesn't want to spent her days chasing Richard hoping he isn't cheating, because sexy women are everywhere and it's mentally and physically exhausting her to keep trying. There's no point because any woman she thinks is sexy, she'll know Richard thinks so too
8:48 oh my god I thought you meant harassment 😂😂
Re: was Richard going to cheat?
As far as what I think the writers intentions- I don’t know.
But this is how I feel about the situation personally. Might be a weird comparison but this actually makes me think of the end of the sopranos . I won’t spoil but iykyk! I think the idea is that Samantha can’t trust Richard anymore, so they can’t have a relationship where she can relax and be content. This is similar to Tony Sopranos situation in the sense that it doesn’t matter what actually happened- it’s that even if it didn’t happen- everyday he has to live in fear.
Just ford your channel- love your vibe
Started watching you with the Gilmore series. I love your intake in both this and that. ❤ I’m hoping your content gets more likes and subscribers. How’s everything going with you?
I think that Richard is just a cheater. When it’s one time it might be fixed. When it’s multiple times he has a problem.
