You can get through this. You got this. Things happen and we just power through. Maybe this would be a good time to get your permanent foundation in and reset everything. We’re rooting for you!
Thank you! I really appreciate that! I did think maybe it was foundation time too, but my road isn’t ready and will take multiple weeks to see if a concrete truck could even try getting up here. And I didn’t want my disheveled cabin logs sitting like that for too long. Good thought though! Thanks again!
I have confidence in you. I know your stronger than you think. When times are tough, the tough get going. Show yourself that you can over come, while your family watches. Set backs are a part of life, take 'em on. 👍
First video of yours I have watched, I'm just gutted right now. This is a defining moment in your life, good luck, if it helps I have a good feeling about the outcome.
oh no! Brother. I'm so sorry that happened. However, its fixable. Take it apart log by log and put her back on her feet. I know you can do it. Just sucks a bit right now. Looking forward to watching how you deal with it. Blessings, brother.
Trials and Tribulations my friend. You have the determination and dedication to fight through this and get things back in order. Wish i lived closer so I could help! Keep your head held high and keep on keeping on! Semper Fi
Thank you Grunt, always very much appreciated, had a great bounce back day today, things went much smoother than I originally anticipated! Thank you thank you!
@@DemasiLogCabin Thats GREAT to hear!! And you're welcome. I definitely felt that sinking feeling watching that happen. Glad everything is going smoother! Semper Fi 💪🏾
😮 man so sorry, I know it hurts , you will fix it , and it will be even stronger. ( memories to tell you’re future grandchildren ) . Sending you lots of courage. Positive vibes. Hugs to the family from Ontario Canada ❤❤❤
Oh wow! As JB has stated .. you’ll get through this , these things are sent to try us and when you do get through it , you’ll have such a great feeling. Mark it down as another one of life’s challenges.. with a bit thought and ingenuity (you have loads of!) you’ll get it done.

Appreciate the pep talk! And your right so many other things much more important! It all turn out ok, with the help of my Dad we were able to get it set back up in a half days work! Thanks for the comment!!
This is a really good opportunity. Only way to look at it! Please, and I do beg you sir, pour yourself concrete piers. You have a machine to dig them. You have everything but water. Concrete is cheap. The way you had it was already just psycho from a structural standpoint. Ponderosa pine will rot through in a year with ground contact. It’s not a hearty wood for posts. I know it’s a detour but imagine regretting the foundation when the whole thing is done and it just sinks into the ground, or even collapses
Appreciate the support! Thank you! The posts are only temporary, Ive planned on a concrete foundation from the start, just building on the posts temporarily while I get the driveway in better order!
Im pretty sure you should cut that bank back a bit more. And make it less of a Hairpin turn. It will make snow plowing or snow removal easier, that and cause less wear or tear on your trucks control arms, bearings and also connecter rods. That and if you ever get a trailer on that road thats 22ft+ or greater you would never be able to make that turn without ditching out the drivers side. But its just some food for thought.
It can be fixed. But it will be difficult if you decide to do it all by yourself without extra equipment. You will have to find an unmoved supporting spot and finalize it with something bigger and stronger or just a concrete post. Use that spot as the pivoting point. Take your time. Another key is find the proper sequence of counter movement. To do that, watch the video in slow motion. You will get it done. By the end, it's wood. The worse case scenario is taking the whole thing apart and redo it. What's the big deal!
Oh man I am so sorry that happened! I feel so bad for you! I am glad that you are able to fix it. I did have a question about the 2nd floor. Are you going to build it and then move it piece by piece?
Much appreciated! Yes, going to put it all together, then take it apart, then back together, should be pretty good at it by the time I’m finally done! 😂
Would it help you if you took all of the bark you are shaving and just start spreading it on the driveway/ road to keep the mud from getting too deep. Better traction.!!
Plenty of peelings that for sure! Fortunately the mud doesn’t last that long, and I haven’t had issues with getting stuck….. yet! 😀I plan to properly address the mud some point soon!
The ground is quite uneven, stumps are a few inches off the ground on one end and about 2.5 feet on the other, on flat terrain I definitely would have keep them all at 6 inches or so.
Maybee rent a bigger machine and jack it up and move it. Use rocks for support. Love the videos don't stop.
Thanks Steven! And thanks for the thoughts, ended up getting it set back up with my excavator and a car jack, video will be out soon! Thanks again!

@@DemasiLogCabin okay gooood!! I must have missed that snippet somewhere back in the beginning. No shade! Just lookin out!
Dont worry. It was not a logcabin,it was just a bunch of logs stacked and you can stack them again.
That’s right!!! 🙏 thank you
We learn from our mistakes and we don't drive as close again.

I know you have method in you madness but myself I would be building from the ground up and getting it done in one go.
Agreed, one assembly would be preferred, but the project start time and terrain, made this the best way to go

Why do you cut your stumps so high. You would gain more length by cutting at the ground
