Wonderful! On the Cello Suites how often does the paraphony come into play? Do you find yourself filtering out some of the notes when they stack up? Thanks, love these posts from you.
Thank you! The paraphony limit on the synth is usually not an issue. When there are chords of more than two notes I arpeggiate them, let the middle notes drop out, and rely on a reverb or delay effect to support the harmony. Many of those same chords would have been arpeggiated and notes would also be dropped by cellists (albeit the bass notes) because of the arching of cello strings which mean you can only play so many notes at once anyway, so I don’t think it’s too far from the spirit of these pieces.
@@NoiseSupply Thanks for the reply! I appreciate the insight. It's also very cool to see how you split the notes into two hands for the keyboard. Do you find yourself making fingering notes, or is it intuitive enough for you to just play it as you go? Thanks again.
I don’t write on this edition because it’s my wife’s copy and keyboard fingering notes are quite different to cello notes haha! For me if I can’t remember which finger to use I haven’t practiced it enough.
there's an ant walking on the synth
