Lobster: I'm 88$/pound, no one can afford to eat me..
Hiro: Good afternoon..
Hahahahhahaha
88$/pound.....that expensive af. to me that luxury :(
LOL
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA MADE my day
You cracked me up lol
The lobster sitting on the plate like "enjoy your meal bro"
lmaoo
Just imagine lobster as a human head...That’s sound like human head on your dinner table talk to you...that is sound disturbing...😁😁...I might jump ...haha
HAHAHA
Lmao
I'm in tears lol
Lobster in tank chillin with his friends
Hiro:Good Afternoon
I like it when Chef Hiro is cooking, like the old times
He run out of materials. Need a break while keeping us entertained
Like the old times lmao it's only been like a month haha
Ah come on, you know you love it.
Balance7 Bruh he’s vacation. He’s obviously going to back to cooking once he goes back to Miami
he's on vacation bruh
Fish market: good afternoon (hiro voice)
All the sea creatures: Ah shit here we go again
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hiro: I'll have two number 9s...
If you imagine yourself as the lobster, this is a goddamn horror movie.
Regardless of how "tough" or "hard" you are, being plated next to your body as its eaten piece by piece is still disturbing. I'd eat the lobster don't get me wrong but I'd kill the lobster before eating the other parts.
@@philipkwak5056 The way lobsters feel pain like other sea creatures is a little bit controversial but lobsters must be eaten very fresh if they're not boiled alive or dispatched immediately otherwise it will cause serious medical issues. Lobsters must be eaten as soon as it is dispatched and prepared.
Lol,very true.
Lobster canibal lecter
Yeah, this is fucking disturbing, imagine you being sliced in half and then you have to watch in agony as someone carves out the flesh of your legs and eats it in front of you. Jesus Christ.
9:34 "Hiro, does it bother you it's moving and watching you eat its body?"
HIRO: Good afternoon.
*afternoon
Lol
For an $88.00 crustacean you’d better make the damn shell and innards edible as well.
And the damn plate it's on too
For $88 the shell better be a hat for me
Food in general is expensive as fuck in Japan. Don't go there with a light wallet
Chef Hiro doesn't look too happy spending that amount on that lobster lol
Id take boat plate home with me whether they like it or not if I were the buyer
Lobsters like: was it necessary for you to put me in eyeshot of my own carcass being desecrated?
Hiro: good afternoon
themurdo21 r/woosh
Cameraman: can you turn it over so we can see it better
Hiro:good afternoon
Underrated
Who really wants to see a big cockroach?? They’re worst than pigs. That’s why society is so sick. Shellfish are scavengers of the sea.
@@MI-vn4tp they're good eating too.
Lots of people like shellfish so I dunno what you're on about crazy bitch.
M I shut up and don’t eat it..
Me and my dad use to catch these when we lived in hawaii. never had them as sashimi but they’re delicious grilled.
Yessah slippa lobster
Moving legs. Proof “it doesn’t get any fresher than this Hiro”.
they didnt kill it, thats why it was still moving
Slipper Lobster: "everything tasting good so far?"
poor guy was chilling in the corner and then comes hiro's 'good afternoon'
themurdo21 poor guy can be a term to describe something you dont know the gender of, dumb fuck however can be used when you know what someone is
Lobster looking: Am i juicy chef?
Hiro: Good afternoon
PETA: That’s horrible, blah blah BLAH
Hiro: Good afternoon
Lobster : Good afternoon.
Hiro : Good afternoon.
I wish Hiro asked them to split the lobster’s head in the middle with a knife to spare it from being pulled apart while still alive. If Hiro was preparing the lobster you know he would have.
And ruin the aesthetic of the dish? Nope
Quantium You are fucking sick.
at least this lobster didn't make that disturbing sound 🙉
Ana Banana you mean ASMR?
Ana Banana quak!
11:22 the guy in the background was like "oh sh.."
*Slipper lobster exists*
Hiro: Good afternoon
Seemed like Hiro talked a bit more during this vid, it was nice :)
Nothing more satisfying than watching LIVE cooking
but it wasn't cooked
For me this scene looks like a scene from Hannibal, when you let someone watch how you eat him alive...
But you have to feed the lobster part of its tail...
A lobster bit my toe when I was kid. No mercy for anyone of them.
David Cabreón Muñoz, did it Bit off, or did it just bit in it? :/
@@KillNichMich he bit it, then got a good hold on my toe then he started pulling and pulling and I didnt know what to do then I fell down and I saw him, he pulled off my toe and swam away with his little tail
Santi Cheeks, I feel really sorry for you:/
Didn’t know lobsters can bite
KillNichMich LMFAOOOO that’s not even the same person, he’s trolling you 💀
why dont kill before that..
I know it seems crazy, I wouldn't do that my self, and I don't know why hiro had them do it like that, cause he usually kills them first before he eats, like that's the first part of his prep.
All that being said, the thing was dead, that was just the post mortem movement when it was served. Still I can't stand having my meal move that much. When You cook the body it'll stop. But you can watch something g similar when you put fresh lobster tails on the grill, as soon as the heat touches them they start jumping, it's crazy, but they are most definitely dead.
@@scottking5555 why do you assume hiro tells them to do it like that because I don't think he does. lobsters have a brain which is between the eyes so the most humane way is knife between the eyes killing the brain. as for movement afterwards, that's just the nerves talking
imagine you're chilling in your tank and you see chef hiro walk in the store with his camera man
Lobster: how is it?
holy moly good afternoon
dayum that's expensive
Name: Chef Hiroyuki
STANDO POWA: Good Afternoon
440 grams Charles :) not 44. It was .44 of a kilo gram which is 1000 grams, if I’m not mistaken 😇
I read it as “88 lb lobster” and I was like “holy shiiii”
ATM Machine: Would you like a receipt with your transaction?
Hiro: Good afternoon.
What an beautiful presentation of the lobster! Looked delicious
I get why people would be upset, but....A Norwegian study from 2005 concluded: that because lobsters do not have brains, they do not feel pain.
I had a Chris Rock moment when I saw the price, "EIGHTY-EIGHT DOLLARS?! GOOD LAWD!"
Lmfaaaoooo I can hear his voice
Not Chris Tucker in Rush Hour? 50 MILLION DOLLARS?! U THINK U GOT CHELSEA CLINTON?! XD
Nightraven NL lmao dead that’s funny
Man it's Fucked up to eat it while it is watching its former tail being devoured
Japanese peeps are creepy fo that
It probably has no concept of any of it.
its just slowly dying
It’s already dead. Lobsters have much more simply wired brains than us humans, even if the lobster was alive, it would not have been able to recognise that it is being eaten. Anyway, it was already dead. If you feel so disgusted by this video, I recommend you to not watch them
@@jengalayla8597 Nah, just that didn't kill it they can live for days without their tail. But it definitely didn't feel it or understand what's going on.
Well, I do agree with you that they have no idea what is going on. But I’m quite sure what you said about it being able to live without it’s body is not true. Even if it was ‘alive’ it would have died very soon. It was already dead once it’s insides of its head got stabbed. Movement of its limbs was due to its nerves still firing signals to the muscles
Those slipper lobster are delicious. I sometimes find them in Florida while diving for spiny lobster. Ive never tried one prepared like that though!
my dream job is to be a Sushi chef in Japan. I'd never leave. So much amazing food I'd never want to go back home!
I'd eat it, but for that price, it better come with a "happy ending" :D
That's why they give you the rest of the body.
Freshly killed fish sashimi and live caught sea urchin I can stomach, but this one was a bit brutal. Imagine someone cutting your head off at the neck, gut your organs and intestines, platter it back on your stomach, then put your head back on the plate so you can watch them eat you. That was this lobster...
Stick with your hot dogs and hamburgers bra
Why are you fine with “freshly killed sashimi” but not fine with a freshly killed lobster? Just because you don’t see how they kill fish doesn’t mean it is in anyway more humane than how this lobster was dispatched.
@@jengalayla8597 I love seafood and I'm probably not going to stop eating lobster even after this video. I'm not saying killing in other manners are any more or less humane, but the lobster head wiggling the whole time and then he puts the wiggling thing back on the plate really got to me I guess.
@@jengalayla8597 I think its pretty clear this was not like freshly killed sashimi. This is an intentional and desired presentation to keep the animal alive while serving. Plenty of other examples. Eating live squid/live octopus/deepfrying a fish only up to the head. Butchering and eating sections off larger animals like donkey before they die. Something about freshness I guess or maybe some deep seeded sense of sadism. Common in some cultures. Certainly not okay just because it's normal. A very cruel practice indeed. I think many countries still don't think animals have a sentient experience capable of pain/consciousness/emotions etc and so things like this don't evoke any sense of being disturbed, sympathy for suffering, or guilt which is crazy to me because it seems extremely intuitive and primal to identify with the movements, sights, and sounds of an animal in pain. Humans go through some crazy mental gymnastics to resolve their cognitive dissonance.
Sorry but that’s a ridiculous price.
Japans ruthless made a dish with the lobsters own body looking at it while you eat it 👀
not 44 grams but 440 grams or 44 decagrams.. or almost 1 pound or half a kilo
4:03 the lobster flesh moved OMG
Michael Wu Yeah, there’s something called nerves dumbass
i l l u s i o n z geesh aren’t you a nice little fella
Camera man : how much money is it
Hiro:good afternoon
What was that absolutely giant crustacean in the same tank as the one you got?
That's one EXPENSIVE lobster!!!
Especially considering you only get a small handful of meat.
But it does look super fresh and DELICIOUS! ❤️❤️❤️
go to your local market and you can get 15 of those at that price point. this video is great for showing a live plating but pls don't add a price.
@@ajtoofer “Don’t add a price”? Yeah, sure thing bud, fishermen just *totally* shouldn’t be paid for a hard day’s work huh?
@@kingkrab5138 250/8 plus plates
I’m sure it’s good, but cane help but ask if there is a more humane way of ending the crustaceans life before eating it? Poor lobster literally watched himself being eaten as he died. 💀
Noway, was that worth 88.00 and I love Slipper Lobster.
i kinda get why he asked Hiroif he was put off by it watching him eat it. what shits me is when tripod needs to pick it up and poke and prod it while its dying with 'ooooh aaaah its still moving. so fresh, its still alive ooooh ahhhh'...THAT isnt needed
Honestly, it doesn't bother me. Not that I'm a psychopath or anything, but I've watched National Geographic too many times that I understand eating is natural, regardless of ethics, except for cannibalism. For some reason, Nature even minimize cannibalism.
Thank you for your comment. Most people don’t have idea of how it’s done in nature. But shows like the one you watch is very interesting.
I love how the lobster is still dancing...❤️
Nice lobster unboxing!!! Lol
88 dollars for raw meat lmao
That lobster looks amazing, probably best to get a mortgage to buy one though 👍
HOLY SHIT.... THAT WAS A BIG ASS FLORIDA LOBSTER!!! 😯😯😯
Lobster: "Yeah, tell me how do you like it Hiro? How do you fucking like it?"
Camera guy “does it bother you that the lobster is looking at you eat his body” hiro no it’s normal and good afternoon
Lobster 🦞: winking 😉 on hiro how m I taste
Hiro :good afternoon 😂
*lobster on the plate* : do I taste good?
That little boat it was served in made a great little coffin!
@2:00 (joker voice) AND. HERE.. WE.... GO!
Me: Is it Good?
Hiro: Good Afternoon
That thing costs like 4bucks here in the philippines
Lobster : what a fresh da-
Hiro : good afternoon
That crab was on that table like buddy off of ghost rider I CAN STILL SEE THE LIGHT. Shit I mean't lobster.
Feels like a scam had slipper lobster for a cheaper price
I was going to say the same thing for that price you could have got like 10 of them, Rob Arrington from Deer meat for dinner catches these like hotcakes.
@@montoyanathan60 but his boat trips aren't cheap. All that maintenance for the boat and the gas for the motor, add in your time, and those quickly become expensive slipper lobsters even if he's catching them like hot cakes.
It’s Okinawa, it’s a tourist trap.
at least it didn’t squeal like the other one
That was so uncomfortable.
lobster be like you not gonna share bro?
I will definitely try this recipe for my personal use. Thank You for sharing.
damn, here i am thinking that, that 69 dollar lobster was expensive. $88 for less than a pound lobster, wow.
This tips the scale of extremely expensive
What the hell is that sea monster in the left of the tank?
all these Hiro: Good Afternoon's got me dying
That's us when the aliens come
Oh....so we gonna just act like we didn't see that worm in the tail @5:00
Zero J that’s not a worm. It’s the digestive tract.
@@kykim2020 oh okay. Thanks for the information
I find a bit barbaric having the agonizing lobster head in the plate, you already know its fresh, totally unnecessary
I’m not normally bothered by these videos but this one got to me. Not cool.
@@MusicRainfield you guys should watch the vegan network
Yeah it’s a good thing that other animals kill and cook their prey before eating them
Wolves go straight to disembowel their larger prey after hamstringing them. Prey is alive the entire time until loss of consciousness. Same goes with bears.
Pythons crush their prey and swallow them whole. Consciousness is irrelevant, best result is prey dies from shock of having major bones crushed.
@@BoomerG21 I think we should be better than them
Damn that creature was alive for a whiiiile. I don't think that suffering is worth a fancy plate display.
It was just nerves.
Go step into a cave full of hungry lions and tell me how much they care about your long fulfilling life.
@@Navi_xoo Sounds like you completely missed the point.
@@markdenison2006 It would have been "just nerves" if the head was damaged. It was separated at the torso. A simple chopstick/knife to the brain is all that was needed.
$88 is actually good value. it's around $130 in Roppongi
I hate how they just cut the tail off and don’t kill the lobster humanely first. So sad😢 Not much meat for all that money.🥺 look at the poor thing still moving maybe in pain.😭
Great- grandma Kirk oh it’s still alive that’s for sure, he didn’t cut into any organs
@@spencerbulaga2968 I just don’t understand why they can’t kill the animals humanly before cutting its tail off. It’s like they enjoy inflicting pain .😩
The lobster isnt dead yet and it just chillin shits wild
That much money for a bite.
Holy smokes.... that's expensive. I hope you got to keep that little boat the decapitated lobster was on.
Hiro: *Does the actuall work *
Cameraman: *does uneccesary commentary *
i dont know if im just weird or what but as soon as the tail was stripped of its shell i started thinking the flesh looked like an orange or some citris fruit tht was just peeled
Down in Belize they give these away because the local fish buyers won't pay fishermen for them. I bought two spiny lobsters and the local fishermen gave me two of the Slippers for free.
Holy SCHMICKLES man ruthless to another level that LOBBO WOBBO like "Hiro san I thought we were boys but yall fackin eating me up while I watch that ain't happened since daddy left!!!" KMT
for that much I'm putting the rest of it in a blender and making a lobster shake out of it.
Yummy! Who wants to taste some lobster sashimi now? :)
For $88 you got to at least keep the boat?
I would like to try this lobster but cooked not raw.
Same, I want to know how it would taste compared to Maine lobsters!
In recommended, just poached, not cooked. You don't want to eat rubber .... By the way, this one is completely different texture and sweetness in comparison to the lobster, and the way to taste that is sashimi. Cooked it, it will taste the texture same to the other lobster and drain out all the sweetness.
Hengbok : Same here.
Didn't know a slipper lobster existed. That's expensive
you can buy that same lobster for less then 10.00 dollars a pound for them
$88 dollars for a chunk of meat half the size of my fist?!
Wow! Aloha ʻAuinalā E Chef HiroSan🤙 For that price I'd eat the small meat that the head and legs have plus the garnish and I'd take the boat home to.....Seriously for that price lol! Nice fresh meal! 👀 Mahalo for sharing 👍👍👍👍🤙💕

Man that looks fantastic that sure is fresh
Where can I buy slipper lobsters? Is there a link that ships to U.S?
That cost so much. I’m not sure if it will be worth it
Yes true. In all honesty...not a first choice for this money.
