Wowza! So many lobsters there. Imagine if they got to the size of ours here in Tassie haha!
Haha, I don't think there is anything quite like those Tassie lobsters mate. Crazy to see the difference. After you see the work these blokes put in for a 500g specimen, it makes me appreciate what you have going on down there even more.
No fishing regulations or fishing regulation enforcment.
@@Andrew_Fraser I bet! This was an absolutely amazing video. Super informative. I didn’t even know these farms existed!
@@arktos298you want to be a typhoon to wipe them out mate?
@@TigersIII what's up dude? No fishing regulations or fishing regulation enforcment in this part of the world dude.
We're retired now in Vietnam from Texas. Vietnam is a heaven for foodies. The variety of seafood, fruits, and vegetables are second to none!
An amazing country to live in for sure
@@Andrew_Fraser 👍& sub'd
$35 a kilo for the Lobster . That isn't much different than the states even with bideneconomics.
Nah, i want my seafood for less when by the sea 😌
Vietnam is a foodie paradise. So many different cuisines
Life is not easy in Vietnam 🇻🇳. ❤❤❤
Another great episode Andrew. U make great content, very educational and informative with awesome views of the location.
Cheers 🇦🇺👍
I’m glad this video on this channel as reached 20k views! Great content Andrew! We’ll keep watching and learning.
great video, editing voice over, music. Your doing great Andrew. Nice drone shots. Very inspiring
Glad I found your channel Andrew, you do a great job presenting it! Keep up the good work
viet farmers are so hard working, land or sea! I'd love to visit again
i think your shows are great Andrew! keep making them!
Great video, I was on some farms not far from these back in 2018. Some of my wife's relatives live in Tu Bong and one of them has a lobster farm. Unfortunately a few months before we visited they lost all their stock in a typhoon. We still got to sample some lobsters from a neighbouring farm while chiliing out on their farm.
Can't wait to see you hit your first million subscribers
Hard working people! I miss my country! Thanks for very nice videos!!!
I first seen you on Sunny’s show now I see you here I’ll keep watching. Excellent video brother.❤
Thanks man. Great to have you onboard.
the amount of work doing any sort of farming is insane. No wonder even the Chinese stopped doing it and now import most of their seafoods from Vietnam and Indonesia.
You deserve all the praise and recognition. Mark and Sonny have made their millions and its up to you now to bring something different to amaze us
Only Jesus deserves praise and recognition. Humans don't.
His video says people live on those floating farms, so ask yourself the question, "where does the human waste water, faeces and sewerage go" ????.
A fantastic insight into the lives of some very hardworking people.
I remember you for co-hosting on BEFRS! Nice to see you on your own 😊
Keep up the great work Andrew
Wow that was some amazing footage, had no idea so much work goes into lobsters
You should do one on the New Zealand Green Mussels. China has build farms to harvest their own version of New Zealand Green Mussels. New Zealand have the monopoly on the Green mussels.
Great one andrew keep at it 😊
as a Vietnamese myself, so proud to see such a beautiful place here
What about the pollution of the environment that is occurring. Lots of dumb people here.
I was today years old when I found out Andrew had his own channel. Instant subscribe 😂
Thank you for sharing the information,
Very useful video, really extraordinary seafood lobster,
Easy to follow videos from Asia on aquaculture, thanks!!!
Excellent content ❤️
Such great performance andrew...well done.
Thanks for the video Andrew.😊
Love your videos ❤
That was very interesting Andrew.
Thanks!
The water is a lot cleaner than most in Southeast Asia. They know what they are doing, it's awsome to see in such a recent video.
Wow, good video!!!
Love your videos mate..watching from gold coast aus
I still cant believe you dont have atleast a million subs. You have great content.
super fascinating!
I just hope that they don’t over harvest the Lobsters. They should really regulate harvesting of these fruits of the sea.
Love your videos bro
looks tasty, congrats on your first 1 million+ view video
Wishing you all the success mister.
I just had dinner....And now I'm hungry for Lobster!
Wowww😮
Some kind of tropical lobster lol. I would imagine if you are doing a whole show basically about these lobsters in this fishing village you might do a tiny bit of research on what type of lobster they are farming. I noticed this with another video also . It appears to be Spiny Lobster.
DISCLAIMER: No lobsters were harmed iin the making of this video ......until they reached China.😮
Ilegally imported baby lobster from Indonesia
The chinese are already fishing outside their own economic exclusive zone in south china sea.
Love your videos Andrew, you definitely deserve more subscribers! Keep up the high quality content.
Good job sir.
Great video! The only thing I noticed is you had some really good music while you were talking throughout and sometimes it drowns you out, especially at the beginning.
Thanks, ill watch the the levels.
Welcome to my humble beginnings. I miss home. It's been awhile since ive been back
Man i love your channel bro.
Very intersting,I've seen this done with Oysters but, never Lobsters.
Pewtty cool operation!
JO JO IN VT 🇺🇸💞
Love Vietnam form neighborhood
Look delicious 😋
The world’s loudest and slowest engine lol 😂 that made me laugh but I believe it 😂
Good new,s.... Lobster 👍👍👍
Love the sound track. Calm considered commentary juxtaposed with sawing, grinding axe. Works for me. 🙂
Love your work Andrew as an Aussie love ya work ❤
Cheers man. Appreciate it.
Andrew, great video! Thank you for sharing about other countries and how they use fish farms to keep our oceans healthy.
Intense and dense caged marine farming like that doesn't keep the oceans healthy. Go and do some research and you will find it is exactly the opposite. Farmed Salmon in Norway, Canada and Tasmainia (Australia) are good examples to start. This guy "Andrew" is telling you lies.
@@umumclean8161 seems like a much better option than overfishing our oceans to meet human demand, but nothings ever enough with you people, is it? How about you provide your research resources (credible resources made by legitimate scholars and scientists, not just some hippie with a blog) instead of telling everyone to google your nonsensical rambling?
What about next onto Lombok Island, Indonesia? We will be happy to accomodate you there!
awesome experience, foods in Asia
Okay i see you Andrew 👍
Like this guy he is a legend forst saw him with sonny befrs good luck
Mantap
Better Then Over Fishing ❤❤
Yum
Had to subscribe to your channel after all the shenanigans Sonny put you through the years. $35 I could three lobsters in the States.
Lobster is not just lobster, Maine lobstah trumps them all in taste, wait till winter time when they are hardshell for the best taste.
In Melbourne, we call it lobster
wow 😱
Andrew. You seem like a nice guy.
excellent channel. I will support
Appreciate the support 🙏
Jesus…. Looks like my friend was not kidding. Seafood and good stuff in Vietnam cost a fortune🤯
Firstly Heartiest Congratulations 👏 🏆 👏
For Your Most Interestingly Unique and Informative Channel 👍 🥳 👌 This IS
My FIRST & Certainly Not The Last and Am Looking Forward To Reviewing All Your New Ones 🤗💦
They seem to know how to grow lobsters. Round boats look like kids swimming pools.
wow
by $35 per kg you can buy lobsters in Paris or Milan's best supermarkets.
If you want to eat really cheap seafood, you have to go Oman.
But, frankly saying, I don't think that lobsters' price is so high in Vietnam. Otherwise it would be unaffordable for locals, but we see that they are actively buy in the street market
- 7:16 lobsters can eat old dead fish. They eat that in the wild along with live food. They will eat w.e they can, it will not kill them.
I've been to this area. I only pay 500k vnd per kilo hahaha. My buddy there owns lobster operation. They are absolutely delicious.
USD$35/kg is "standard price" from farm.. Good price... normally its around USD$10 per kg for "family".
But you still got a good deal for live lobster. AUssie lobsters used to cost USD$200/kg
So Long Morrison's Lobsters !
Sonny sent me
Nice video bro but that loudest and slowest engine u mentioned is older than you
quite possibly
@8:00 why does it take? could have added a little geography lessson/ maybe u do it later. anyway love the vid
If the lobsters are farmed in Vietnam, does that mean that they are now cheaper to buy?
What's more popular in Vietnam? Atlantic (Maine) lobsters or Spiny lobsters? And the price difference?
You haven't had real good lobster until you've had Maine Lobster
One day for sure
👍
As an Indonesian.. Where they have baby lobster by the way..
You are showing the mature lobster being harvested, what happens before that?
😋💛👍
Will you ship to USA live? Bryan 😊
I watched the Philippines documentary at 19 K views now it's at 1.3 million, Filipinos must have watched your video where as Vietnamese don't watch English youtube
i liked it; you can't taste the lobster as the viewer, and Andrew kinda keeps the taste to himself...so, we're reliant on our 'alien-powers-of-perception' which are very poor, btw...to savor the flavor of the lobster, from afar.
Lobsters with no pincers❤
--- Hey Andrew, I heard rumors that you speak a smattering of Vietnamese. You should show off that special skill. ---
$35 a kilo?!?! 😳 they must have given you the “tourist” menu 8:39 $8 a lb on sale in the U.S. 🤷🏾♂️
Therefore if people are also living on those floating farm (cages), human waste, faeces and sewerage, is being directly discharged into the environment polluting not only the lobsters but the water too.
$35 / kg? That's equivalent to 2-3 days of income for most of the Vietnamese country folks. To give away one 😃
Australian dollars?
@@leluu5950nah 850k dong is ~35 USD
I’ve been to both countries and I can assure you that the lobsters in Danang are the largest I’ve ever seen.
Even Panama and Pattaya have larger than Tasmania.
Sorry to disappoint you.
I live in Hoi An / Da Nang. Large lobster here are imported. Cold water lobster species simply grow bigger than the species that live in hot water locations you mention. Science 🧬
@@Andrew_Fraser Thanks for clarifying.👍
On my way back to Danang as we speak.
Yet another primitive industry. So Vietnam. When will the government step in and provide training and establish infrastructure for this industry? 😮It has a lot of potential.
IMO more government is almost never the answer. Vietnam has been growing at a pretty staggering rate. They must be doing something right.
so where to they use the toilet? Is there a communal public toilet in the area?
Good video, but we could without the loud obnoxious music played over the montages.
