Between Google Lens and/or AI I can find the most obscure marks or info on ANYTHING for resell. However, in a year from now if you see an AI robot wearing a bomb-ass vintage outfit

I don't know about a robot wearing vintage, but expect people to be wearing glasses that they can just look at a shelf or table and it will tell them what everything is and how much it sells for in milliseconds. That would also apply to clothing racks.

Saying a tool is good or bad is not a reflection of the tool but a reflection of EITHER the wielder's skill level in relations to the tool and/or the quality of fit with the wielder's method of work.
Thankfully. both skill and workflow are fluid and can be changed if a tool is compelling enough to incorporate into the wielder's day to day :)

0:32 - yep. I guarantee most of us have either read a news article/press release written by AI and even conversed with a bot on social media and not even known it. But using it as a resource and then going back to clean it up to be more human and personalize it with your own style really makes it easier to get started on things when you’re feeling stuck or have no motivation. As long as you see it as a neutral tool that can be utilized for good or evil, it’s easier to accept that it already plays a part in our daily lives.

I do use e bay's AI, but I still proof read and add measurements and any other pertinent information.

Regarding AI: I use it to my advantage on eBay descriptions. I let AI set the foundation, then I go in to edit details to personalize it. It's helpful, and saves time.

Thank you for all the awesome tips! I just gave the ebay AI a spin this past weekend, and like you said, it works well enough but it does require the seller/lister to go back in and do a bit of editing. With jewelry in particular it's important to include measurements which the ebay AI doesn't appear to do.
I personally don't care for the AI backgrounds. They immediately raise a red flag for me as they do look a little too professional, which makes it hard to tell whether it's a stock photo. Again, this is just my personal opinion, but I don't buy things with stock photos as I like to know exactly what I'm buying to the greatest extent possible. I also find them very distracting, as cool as they look.

See I'm the opposite I'm drawn to the more professional backgrounds as long as they have regular photos as well. If it's only staged ones then I get leery! You're very welcome I'm happy to help :-)
Ive been really excited about this since i viewed your last video and am trying it now.
Yes, you have to proof-read! It listed my vtg trifari earrings with posts as clip on and a nursery pillow sham as a blanket, with measurements for a blanket BUT it still saves me
so much time by identifying things, adding the keywords etc. And it got quite a few exactly right. Im loving it and have increased my listing volume quite a bit.

I know people that have businesses, don’t like cash sales because cash is stollen by employees. Employees that are friends and family besides other employees steel cash and don’t put down that a sale was made.

I regret trusting fully EBay AI descriptions tool. I kept getting messages from the buyers about photos and descriptions are totally different. Especially size and color. AI can’t tell from the pictures
You have to read it for sure and ebay ai doesn't analyze your photos at all it is going off what you put in title and description
I’ve been in the real estate business for several decades, and there’s a reason why Realtor’s stage a home that’s vacant or unoccupied. That’s because most people have trouble envisioning themselves living in an environment that’s a blank slate they need help through furnishings, accessories, window treatments, etc. to envision themselves living in that home. I think that there’s some of that psychology that may bleed over to listings and it’s worth trying maybe some listings with a white background or Solid background and then try some with the tools that eBay just rolled out yesterday and see which listing so better

Excellent!!! And so helpful to learn Google can now “see” other backgrounds besides just white. As a professional photographer I’ve been so frustrated with dull boring white backgrounds!! And using AI for a professional, unemotional reply is brilliant!!

Thank you for this video ! I am technologically challenged.... Only because I haven't learned how to use many tech products. This is funny, but I'm an eBay buyer, (wanting to be a seller one day) BUT , I always wondered why the sellers i bought clothes from all had the same description that would, " elevate my wardrobe to the next level,...blah ,blah blah,"...if it was a suit or a pair of shorts, the fluffy description was always the same. I thought, " Ah, all these different sellers are scripting from the same book!" (That's how old fashioned I am) Lol
A book? I think of AI as you do. It's how we use it and get used to it. Your examples of a cashless society was right on. I remember when no one wanted to use there debit or credit cards.
Yes I remember as well. Luckily most of this technology is as simple as pushing a button not overly complicated, so not too much of a learning curve :-)

And what about the new eBay background remover replacement tool that just came out yesterday! Why I wonder did they do this when they recommend that a solid background preferably white is the best for listings
They changed that over a year ago as google now picks up non white backgrounds :-)
"Hey, Alexa" & "Hey, Google" most homes have one or both of these AI features. I think there are more AI resources that people use regularly and don't realize it.

I would like to try the new AI feature that the list perfectly has but simply cannot afford at this time. But I think it would be great to help me get more items listed. That said I must say that I would have to double check everything that it does and also keep some of my own words in my descriptions. I like to do my own research on my items and include some of that info in my descriptions. So although AI would be very helpful I would not rely totally on it.

Hi Kat, I totally agree that AI makes pictures look more professional, but I thought that eBay's preference was a white background so that it would present as more uniform on the site. I remember when people were trying to make it look better with fabric, flowers, sunglasses, and various items, but ebay didn't want that, and also I think there were some problems with buyers causing trouble by saying that they thought they should get any items in the picture despite the title and description clearly stating the object for sale. So, in your video, you said that Google once wanted white backgrounds, but that it has changed. I'm assuming that you meant eBay? Also, where did you find the pillow for the brooch and the puddle for the umbrella? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm a bit confused. Thanks. 😊
ebay came out over a year ago that it can pickup white backgrounds I did mean google. So people search with a photo to find similiar items to buy that would lead them to our ebay listings. Therefore ebay recommended white, however now google picks up all backgrounds so the white doesn't matter anymore. All those fancy photos are in photoroom AI backgrounds :-)

People are going to fall on all sides of the between two extremes. Some are informed and some are not. I appreciate that you put out a video to help educate. :) I do NOT like the idea of AI at all. However, I understand its here and there is no going back. I have ADHD and struggle focusing sometimes - well, most of the time. Some days are good, some not so much. So my productivity ranges. I have had so much going on in my life, that its been quite difficult. Laid off from my job of 16 years (single mom) due to location, just found out my mom was diagnosed with stage 3 or 4 cancer (waiting for confirmation as to which). This is helping me SOOOOOOO much so I can focus on my family. People will use it for good and people will use it for bad. Sadly, people will always find ways to abuse ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! :( But hopefully it will do more good in the end, than bad. It is helping me be able to allow more time to focus on my family. And thats what I need right now.

Thank you for the informative video! I enjoy using AI for simple things and getting a quick answer to a question. It's been a lot of fun to use so far and very helpful. I'm glad it's able to help even when using e-bay. I only sell part time so I won't really be interested in a subscription service but if I'm able to use certain features for free then I think it would be very helpful in streamlining listings. I definitely embrace it so far and look forward to it's advancement as long as it doesn't get completely out of control. The only thing I will never do (which isn't even AI) is use a self checkout at the supermarket. They're going to have to pay me if they want me to use that.
It's crazy here that's all they have at a couple!

My brother-in-law went on a cruise and they were told no cash. Had to have a credit card to get on the ship.
Yeah I've been running into it more and more, but it's weird with small thrift stores most only accept cash. The only reason I see for that is not reporting income to the government

I have a question about the free months of list perfectly promo on the death pile destruction Facebook group. I know that you have to pay upfront but then can get refunded if you cancel your subscription. However it says you have 5 days to cancel. If I have to cancel within 5 days to get refunded does that mean I will lose my free months after 5 days how does that work
On death pile you don't pay until after the free month.
You have a month plus 5 days with that promotion it is in special terms so ignore the regular terms
If everyone uses AI can you tell me what will make each persons store unique or different.Will it give everyone their own unique description or is it the same generic listing for anyone who uses it for that item on that platform. Also when AI looks to fake it can hurt the listing, example something sitting on water, it worries people that it might be a scam.
You can choose the tone of your listing like mine is very funny you can pick concise , factual there are like 10 different or you can type your own. I don't think people assume scam if they look through the rest of the pictures and also see we have 7000 positive feedback

I've never done 6 months free. You get the upgrade from pro to pro plus for free for the rest of the year but you need to pay for the pro plan. We give away a free month on our podcast once a month as well

People lose their jobs because of AI, that's why it upsets people. Are we using AI or is AI directing us? This is a massive topic that affects every aspect of our lives.
I can see that for sure but if we use it as a tool to improve productivity I don't think it is a bad thing. It is going to come and keep developing whether we're on board with it or not though I feel
I don't think AI is all that smart. For instance, I use it to remove backgrounds in my pictures. Sometimes it helps snd makes my pics look better. But, more often than not, it can't figure out what to erase and what not to erase; so I revert back to my own pic because it looks better.
Then. I try it in the description and it gets the facts confused sometimes, snd then rambles on with some kind of repetitive sales pitch. It's rare that I use more thsn one line of AI descriptions.
It's fun to play with, but not something I can rely on. It needs more work and improvement.
You're referring to ebay ai that is not the case with List Perfectly ai completely different story. If your item is on a solid background there should be no issue removing the stuff but if there's too much for it to decipher it can't work
AI is taking over, like it or not. We ARE giving up some of our freedoms for this. People have access to everything you do. That is the main problem. Most of the ads you see are geared specifically to you because of AI. Promoted listening, List Perfectly and other programs take away from YOUR profits. No, thank you.
Promoted listings get me over 50% sales aka over 75,000 in sales a year. List perfectly made me over $30,000 more in sales, so if you want to not use them thinking that way whatever works for you, but last year between promoted listings and list perfectly I made over $100,000 MORE than I would have without them ;-)
I recently started promoted listings again after a period without. Since I started, I've had two organic sales. Safe to say that I wouldn't actually have any profits if it weren't for promoted listings.
List Perfectly saves time and I value my time. Promoting your listing is the same as advertising a brick and mortar store. Even 100 years ago stores paid for advertising.
You are correct. She makes more sales, but less margin. Now she HAS TO make more sales. And it will only get worse with time. They are valuable tools and they work. But they can do just as much harm as good.
@crystalcole888 i have higher margin then probably 75% of Reseller's even with all the tools i use. I buy at an average of 10% off sell price. So if you buy smart you have room to use tools to make more sales and business flow easier

You need to download the extension. If you go to listperfectly click on current version and you will see a download button and then you will have to click the puzzle piece in the top right of browser and make sure it is turned on the list perfectly
Got to say that ai isn't up to my standards yet. I need ai to describe the collar, id the fabric, describe the hem, describe the cut, describe the sleeves and any other important aspect of the garment in addition to using power words. Yeah ai is not up to my expectations YET. LOL. As compared to how ai describes as of now, man is wearing white plain shirt 😂

I love taking my kid to baseball games so I'll continue going there and at some point cash is going to be obsolete I believe. There are tons of places I've been that don't accept cash.
I live in Port Charlotte, FL, where they just opened a new luxury resort to the tune of $730 million. Full of shops and restaurants from food courts to 5* restaurants. No cash accepted in the whole place.
It's you perogative where you spend your money but if you ate selling online, I guess it's a good thing your customers don't feel the same.
