I just bought a 2lb. bag of jewelry from Posh. There was an 8oz. piece of junk chain in the bag. 1/4 of the bag was one piece of junk, a $23.00 piece of junk.
Yeah that happens with lots frequently no matter where you buy unfortunately it will be good and bad I have had some I only pull a few pieces worth selling
I went through the jewelry again and the lot was pretty good actually. That necklace made me so mad, all I saw was junk! 🤪😁😁

My boxes were not from an auction they were directly from a person whom I saw receipts. If you buy on auction, most do not guarantee authenticity but some do
You had a recent estate sale video, you picked up a little cup/saucer and said " this tea cup wont sell for much,," It was a demitasse ( for espresso) while most dont go for much, i once found a Gucci brand one, i believe i paid $4 and sold it for$40!

Mercari has very specific things that sell and I've learned if they don't sell fast they probably won't

I've been selling on ebay off and on since 1999. The amount of listings depends on types of items, their price and how fast they sell (sell thru rate) some people make 6 figures a year with only 100 items listed. I however have over 7000 because in my area I find mostly lower value items

I am not using it as it doesn't fit in to how we cross post and list. I would think for multi quantity it wouldn't end until quantity is at zero. I would post in the LP facebook group to ask
I've never looked at either of these platforms, but now I'm going to consider it. I've sold a few things on Facebook Marketplace...how do you feel about that for a selling platform?
We did ok on there when we were there a couple years ago, but they banned me for a ridiculous reason and never let me back in LOL so I'm not sure how it is now
@@TheNurseFlipper It’s the same! They removed 3 of my listings claiming they were fraudulent. I successfully sold them on eBay. I just now keep my listings safe like tshirts and books. Lol

We started on List Perfectly but are having issues with the transporting of shipping details onto Mercari. It shows as free shipping or we have to change it and type in the weight again. Have a ticket in to LP
Hopefully they can fix it

I'm an etsy sellar and i'm wondering why you stopped selling there? It's so slow on etsy. I'm doing both vintage and handmade there.
I'm thinking about moving my non-vintage jewelry to mercari, since I can't list it on etsy.
I also have probably 10 mugs that i've thrifted. And I have plush. Some is vintage, some is not.
Do you think mercari would be better for those non vintage items?

@TheNurseFlipper Setting up a new listing is very time consuming. And they want you to use all ten photos spots. I kinda had a feeling that's why you quit. I hover around 125 listings and it's so slow. But I hear people complain about mercari and ebay too
@erinmaxwell8133 Mercari is slow for us compared to ebay we do about $1000 a month on Mercari and 15 to 20k a month on ebay

Do you offer a discount and shipping discount? I find that when I do, I make 1/2 of what the original price is, and think that's way too much.
No I typically do not it cuts into profit too much. Every 3 months I send out mass offers with a discount but that's it
I love MERCARI but I don't get steady sales.
Yeah I don't get regular either but it's a nice supplement platform
I wouldn’t sell most books on Poshmark due to their base fee of $2.99. Thus I list nothing under $20.

What am I doing wrong? Mecari shipping is always crazy expensive unless it is under 2 pounds. I have started ship on my own and try to build it into the sell price and hope I have covered the cost.
I don't put box sizes just weight, but I don't do very many things over 2 pounds. What are you selling that's over 2 pounds? Becuase most of that is crazy expensive on eBay and at the post office as well

Click on the shipping to input the weight I normally skip dimensions then it should say you pay or buyer

I try to start selling it told me to create my first item and I did and the next day I was suspended. They said that they sent me an email and I didn’t see it. I’m glad there is more than one platform to sale on. Thank you for making these videos.

Nothing is selling on Ebay.
Oh stuff is selling, I've sold $2000 in the last 3 days. So make sure you're checking sell thru rate of items you're listing you want to see at least 50% so if 100 are listed 50 should be sold in order for it to sell in about 6 months. If it's less than that it's going to take longer. Also check your shipping rates titles pictures etc

Hi Kat! You said Poshmark fees are higher at 20% but I’m paying about 30% on eBay. And referencing your 2023 overview I thought you said you pay about 30% on eBay…maybe I missed something? 😅
That is including your shipping cost which is typically pretty high if you sell low or mid range items. Poshmark doesn't include shipping into this. You should look at your fees separately and unless you're promoting at 15% they shouldn't n be that high
