Amazing Kat! Thank you once again! I am amazed some of these vases sold for the prices they did. I thought some of them were just plain ugly. But hey, if I find any of these, I will grab them!
Lisa
Found a Faberge bowl at a Good Will for $2.99 and did great on it ...along with Van Briggle vases and A F.King original paintings.
Nice!
Yup, I found a 1902 Szolnay vase #6842 at Savers for 4.99. It sold at Dorothea auction house in 2014 for$8,900 dollars.
TThat's amazing! Congrats
Picasso had a whole line of kitchen items, plates, clocks, pitchers. I'd love to find one in the wild.
Ohhhh yes me too
Kat, thanks so much for all you do!!!!❤
You are so welcome!
Object? I bet they were going for “objet d’art” and had only enough space for the most key word of that key phrase. Oh Kat - these series you do always amaze/surprise me! Lots to learn. THANK YOU!!!! We gain much from your research
You're very welcome :-)
Thank you for this info! It is super helpful that you included photos of the bottoms and signatures. It can be very difficult to locate signatures on crystal, such as Baccarat and Lalique.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks so much for taking the time and energy to make these educational videos for us! You rock!! 🥳🤩🥰🦋
Glad you like them!
Thanks again for the amazingly informative video. These are some of my favorite UA-cam videos. 💕😍👍🏼
You're welcome
The sweet kitty meows at the end of the video melted my heart!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰Thanks for the info Kat. You are awesome 👍🏻😉
He's very demanding LOL he's in my lap now :D
Salt and pepper shakers, too! Great video!
Thanks for watching!
That goes to show that everything Italy sells for a lot of money
Most of it for sure
Not everything Italian is valuable, Italians have a lot of crap too.
Italy is known for great design
I agree kat , if it’s collectable doesn’t really matter what you started it at .
Great variety, Kat! Some of these are stunning! Dale Chihuly's work has always been a favorite! Have you seen his chandeliers or other pieces? He really thinks out of the box and his color range and designs are ahhmazing!! Thanks for this excellent post!👏🎉💖😍
Oh I haven't I'll have to look!
Thank you for the informative video!!! Always great learning new things to be on the lookout for.
Our pleasure!
Great video! Very informative, and fun to watch!
Glad you enjoyed it!
wow!! I think my favorite was the Zebras. But the last OWL vase is amazing too!
I think so too!
Ok that's just crazy. An unmarked for over $7000... now I am going to be running around buying every unmarked vase I find and putting them up for .99 😂🙃
LOL that might not be the best idea ;-) You might end up with a big vase collection and shipping a lot for 99 cents
Kat Thank you so much ❤️🤗❤️ Have a wonderful time on your trip.
You are so welcome!
Honestly, I wouldn't have looked twice at any of those vases. 🤣 Gosh I am so glad you are sharing your knowledge with us!
Happy to help!
I agree, the not one I would have looked at was the cobalt blue one.
FYI, I learned from watching the British Antiques Road Show that if Lalique piece is signed "R. Lalique" it was made by the man himself (or at least when he was alive and in charge) and if it just says "Lalique" it means it was made after his death, so the "R" makes the older ones worth more. (Although they are faked so make sure you compare signatures with real/fake ones online before buying.) Thanks for a fun video! I don't often look at vases because of shipping fear, but I might have to break that rule if they're worth thousands!!
Oh good to know! Thank you
Yes….thanks so much for sharing that. 😊
That Nancy Daum Fushia...so cool...I think the fun thing is we all have different things we love and different things we have an eye for...plus different easier to mail finds and knowledge..thanks for sharing and having a special eye too. I love glass. Lived in NW with a lot of it on lqte 80's to 2007 end of year..Chihuly exhibits to die for xo.
Oh sounds lovely!
Thank you so much for doing these videos! I actually watch several of your previous ones today to refresh my memory.
Glad you like them!
Thank you for your research and sharing this video with us! These are amazing sales.
You are so welcome!
I found a vase in Ocala store for 25. cent and sold for $250 i google lens everything. Great ideas
Oh that's awesome!
Hi Kat. I don't know if it matters much to you, but your description on the video says "I will show you 15 necklaces that sell for OVER $4000. People find vases..." You might want to change "Necklaces" to "vases" Cool video! Thanks for sharing!!
Lol lol I'll check it for sure thank you! Must have had necklace on my mind
Dream vase finds..so beautiful.
I think so too!
Thank you for sharing your research. I love these videos, I learn so much❤ thanks again for all of your hard work.
You are so welcome!
Anything that shows up at our local Goodwill that has any value is always chipped or cracked. I think they only are allowed to sell broken items! Also the Goodwills I see online are more like our Home Goods stores; color coded or divided by use! Our stores are lucky if the clear glass shelves have stuff. The only colored glass and ceramic sections are a small end caps. Our Goodwills are not glamorous like the ones on Utube, but there still is a lone item now and then! Thanks to all of you for teaching us what to look out for!
My local goodwills don't have glass either actually most thrifts by me not much glass that is nice, I mainly get mine from online estate auctions
Love these videos! Thanks for your hard work!!
You're welcome :-)
So cool! I'm keeping my eyes peeled! Thanks for the great info!

Wow!
Jay Strongwater has beautiful perfumes. All of his glass art is superb.
Yes for sure
so frustrating how hard it is for me to read the signatures , guess it just takes experience, thank you for showing the signatures !
Yes it is hard for sure maybe try old things pickers and thrifters group on facebook
I found a well documented Rookwood vase for 4.99. It was appraised at 15k.
Wow that's amazing!
I'll keep looking!!!😳😅
Lol yes me too
WOW 😮😮😮😮❤❤❤❤❤
I thoroughly enjoyed the video, crazy prices for some of them…( Baccarah, Carmarg).
Yes for sure and thanks for watching
Very interesting video, thank you. I love finding art pottery at the thrift and have found some valuable pieces but nothing worth 4 or 5 figures yet - but 3 figures, yes! Also, love your cat!
Thanks for watching! Hopefully you'll find some big money ones soon :-)
@@TheNurseFlipper , the other thing I found interesting about your video is that perfect photos are not all that important when you have something people want. I got a kick out of seeing the vase on the grass and the one in front of a window on a messy desk - you can see what you need to see, but it was interesting to note that. I still do white backgrounds on all my photos, but I loved that little detail.
@@karenkelly961 lol I notice that in a lot of research videos I do
I enjoy your videos thank you
Glad you like them!
I believe these high dollar auctions that start their auctions so low are well known Ebay Stores that have a great following of buyers ready to spend money. They already know that this dealer has beautiful pieces by well known artists and are ready to make a purchase if they win the auction. So, even if you have a piece worth thousands, I would not start any auction at .99 cents unless you are a well established Ebay Store with a following. Just a heads up to all who sell out there!
Not necessarily true, if you have a valuable piece your store size or feedback isn't going to come into play as much. I've seen 5 figures on people with less than 100 feedback. It depends on the rarity of the piece more than anything. Some so/so pieces that aren't overly rare or more common might go higher for someone with a following
Good point thank you
Some of those vases leave me breathless. My top vase was a Moorcroft found in NYC..bought for 6.00, sold for 3K..to someone in England..getting insurance was a biatch.
Nice sale!
@@TheNurseFlipper Thanks..hard one to complete..but good..the vase was a special one made in the 1920s
Amazing prices
Yes 😊
Found d one of the Picasso pieces...the water pitcher at Homegoods....stunned. $6.00
Crazy photoed on stones
Thanks for the informative video! I like the bids because I feel like those are less fraudulent when you see multiple people willing to pay high dollar for an item. It’s amazing what people will pay.
Yes, but sometimes people run things up and don't pay and the next auction won't go as high I see that frequently while researching
@@TheNurseFlipper Wow. Good to know. I never even thought of it from that angle. I don’t sell very often (more as hobby). I’m more on the buyers end. But, that’s why I’m glad we have professionals like you out there, willing to teach others. 😊
@@tscarletespin2261 I'm happy to help!
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Funny the most expensive one is probably the one I would be the least likely to look at
Yeah it's crazy some of the high ones
Loved the video, I had to check mine. 325 Italy🙂
Awesome! Thank you!
The starting bid on that Royal Copenhagen vase that sold for about $5000 was $14.
Crazy!
Let's gooooo!!🎉🎉🎉
The Christian Misen vase bid looks suspicious, why bid it all the way to one bid of 4,000 but yet lose the bid to 50 bucks. It makes ya wonder. Also the shipping was pretty low ,was it a small vase? Fun video for sure I like how you show the bids.
Someones high was 4000 so someone else bid bringing it to tht and then bid 50 more to see if that was their top
Great video! I'm so surprised that sellers photograh some of these in grass and on gravel.
Very possibly used editing app
I have never sold anything this expensive on eBay but would like to. I wonder how it gets shipped..I wonder if it would need to be insured before sending..I think I would not be able to sleep until knowing it arrived lol.
The highest I have sold are 3000 and 4500. The 3000 I shipped USPS the 4500 I paid for a hand delivery service
I collect blown glass vases.
I would walk right past that sottsass saved by the bell lookin thing . now i’ll be on the look out 👀 lol
LOL yes
Kat! Did you see where they photographed that 9,999 vase? On the ground in dirty muddy crushed rock! That says to me the final auction price might have been startling to the seller!
I think some of these photos are edited with photoshop
I really enjoy your videos! I had no idea some of this was so valuable! How do you pack such fragile items to ship without breaking???
Glad it was helpful!
I found a vase on vacation sold for 6.00 sells for ebay for 100.00. Not a bad score on vacation.😊 Thank you for the education.
That is awesome!
Objet is a brand
love jay strongwater, i’m an enamel addict. I collected Edgar Berebi trinket boxes but they aren’t as elaborate as Jays or as expensive .
I love enamel as well!
Wonderful informative video, Kat! I also love the Chinese vase. Just wondering how people ship a $7,000+ vase? By private courier or leave it to the post office to lose or break (lol)?
I've done it both ways with higher dollar. My most expensive sale was sent via post office
@@TheNurseFlipperDid the buyer pay insurance and shipping?
The guido vase is laying what looks like rock! Lol
I think they photo shopped it!
@@TheNurseFlipper maybe looks a driveway. Well… they made a fantastic find and sell. They may not had known that it was worth that much.
Love your videos❤️
@@TexasBurningFlower yes very true and thank you 😊
Hi Kat, another great video, love your research vids. Question - some of those auctions went on for weeks and even a month. I though max was 10 days ??
Yes 10 days is max I honestly didn't look at the start date etc that's weird
The days shown were days since that bid ‘75 days AGO’ so I think it was a 30 day auction that ended almost 3 months ago.
Hi - thanks for another great vid - I was just wondering what auction site has items on auction for 75 days? thank you for everything you do. take are
The bids were 75 days ago. It was not that long but I researched the last 90 days.
hi I am new to your channel….definitely new subscriber! Love learning so much from you! I was a Nurse for 30 years and had to leave for health reasons….my dream job was to have a little shop (think a lot of nurses have this dream🌟) I had a booth for 3 years but became too stressful…mow I have loads of inventory I need to get rid of! Have to learn more about these selling platforms and you are helping do just that. Quick question if you had something so valuable why would you list Best offer where you could end up with zip? I don’t understand that? Thank you so much for sharing😊kim
Best offer you have the option to accept tor reject. A lot of people only offer 5% below asking, there are low ballers but you can decline them :D
Got a peek at your kitty-cat in the background this time. Have you ever introduced her/him to us? 😸😽👵
That's pig! Yes he's in a few videos we actually have 3 kitties and 4 doggies 🐕 😄
Just FYI, pronounced "seep-ee-yuh". For your future use. Really interesting vase info!
Good to know!
Thanks Kat---I’m curious as to how these sellers go about shipping these objects and who they ** trust ** to ship them??
I literally just posted similar comment lol..I would be very nervous sending something that expensive and worried that the buyer would try to scam me lol..
The highest I have sold are 3000 and 4500. The 3000 I shipped USPS the 4500 I paid for a hand delivery service
I have a collection of Jay Strongwater pill boxes that I inherited.
That's awesome I bet they're great!! I love his stuff
Yes, I have a Bob Timberlake coffee table that has a glass top. It has black felt- velvet down inside that you put collectibles in so you can see them. They are mixed with Limoges boxes and other small collections.
Wow, I just learned baccarat recently last week. There were a lot of Figurines of cats bobcat, Sphinx, and another animal they wanted, like $120 for 5 or 6, but no box. I passed it up. That was the lowest they would take? Idk if I messed up or not?
Some aren't worth more than $20 so without individaully searching them no way to know
BIDS numbers don't seem to matter to me. 3 people competing to win the action can run the number up. Am I missing something? Wonderful video. Thanks so much
People wanted to know the starting bid on auctions if they were started low or higher, but I agree really all you need is 2 who want it
Where did the Picasso sell? I've looked on Worthpoint and E-bay. Thank you.
All of these sold on eBay
The Gamboni was pictured on gravel. I wouldn’t lay it on stone ever!
They could have used a editing app
