Awesome! The 67 Corvette has to be the best looking design that ever came out of Detroit... I mean, really the 63-67 but the 67 pretty much was the pinnacle. I'm really glad it didn't get smashed... and especially that it didn't fall on you. Looking forward to the track video and thanks for the update!
I'm really glad you didn't get hurt . All in all it could've been so much worse. The black one was my favorite but now the 67 is!!!! It's turning out so well!!!!
Agree. That could turned out really bad. Hopefully this was a wake up call to get the lift adjusted/repaired to lift evenly and also add some lift adapters on the arms.
Glad your ok . I feel your pain . Had a 69 Corvette convertible flip over on a hoist . I was about to do exhaust before it flipped. Someone was Watching out for me.. Cars can be fixed. Your around to tell the tale that’s all that matters. Good luck .
Man you got a lot done, love the cage, I bet it really strengthens the body flex. Thank God no one got hurt on that lift. I bet you won't be using it anytime soon again.
10:16 Nice figures 707.8hp & 734.8 ft/lb torque is v impressive for an L88 'Vette. Tried & true torque converter needed was interesting. Excellent vid team.
I love the whole F.A.S.T class but I think it was in the last videos thumbnail where the engine is sitting in front of the car? It looks so freakin stock and makes 4 digits. Amazing to say the least. And making it hook on what you guys do is amazing also. Awesome grandpa by the way too👍
Happened at a shop I worked at in the 80s a few times. One was a brand new GN we did warranty work for the dealer up the st. Not. Good. Mech was a dufus epitome of redneck wanna be. lol
Life-long Chevy man. THIS epitomizes that life-long love affair for me. Right or wrong, Corvettes ARE my favorite high-performance cars, ever. '63-'67's, like this. As well as the '68-'72 Mako Sharks. Too close to call for me, to say which ones I love more. Yes, there ARE faster cars that have come along, since. But not one of them is cooler, or sexier, IMHO.
Thx for posting everything. Got a vintage Mx race in Louisiana Sunday we didn’t plan on , but the boy is rearing to go. I’ll decide in a few days. Good luck with the car I predict one of you break the 150 barrier this year. Blessings
Hi gordo: It is like a slow mo thing. I remember one time long ago when we had twin post inground lifts. One of the lifts with a truck on it and because the tech forgot to lock-out the posts, overnight one post bled down so in the morning we found the truck in the next bay on it's roof. Not scary, but pretty funny ........ if you're not the one who has to pay twin wreckers to get it out.
Bro i Just LOVE how you modified the old side pipes with the 2 mufflers , i flows great and it sounds EXCELLENT! Is this basically the same way you did with the black 69 L88 right? A pair of dynomax bullet mufflers and stainless bros muffler’s, now just painted black and located a little different, right? I love it bro, can't wait to see this beast in the 1/4!
Funny how so many insist their low hp car needs big primary headers and 3" exhaust These guys are going fast on 2.5..and those pipes are stealthy at idle nice job!
We do alot of C2 work at our shop, and the frames in these cars definitely makes them a little sketchyfor lift points the way the frame slopes up gradually right where you would like to place the front lift arms....glad it wasn't worse.....stay safe
Looking good Jordan. This car is going to get a lot of love from fans. And probably some hate from your opponents when you start kicking a.. That converter definitely sounds really loose. Still wondering about your possibly using a much tighter converter and “controlling” it with some dump valves? Have other racers tried this (assuming of course it’s legal)?
i just subscribed. 67 looks awesome. the showing at the track with all those vettes must be cool. can you give us some specs on the motor? aluminum block, heads? extrude hone of the manifolds? efi processor with a carburetar? cubic inch?
Fantastic car , wow that thing moves i was wondering if i could get you to make me the same side pipes, i have side pipes on my car and i agree totally with what you sade about them being very restrictive, i have some sanderson 1 7/8 shortys with 3 inch exit, was wondering if you could make me some pipes . 3 inch to the side then i guess the 4 mufflers have to be a little smaller to fit under the factory covers ... Do you guys do work for other people . Thank you. Randy
so the arm slipped out from under the car - tilted over and the same arm stuck in the body just below the shark gills ? , and was tittering on two arms (drivers front and passenger rear) wanting to do a nose dive onto the floor ? The Corvette Gods were watching over that bad ass coupe
Where can I get side pipes like the one you run on the 67? My 68 has factory 69 side exhaust and it is robbing its power. I want to leave the covers but swap the pipes. Thanks! Did you use 2 1/2 inch or larger pipe?
@@HorsepowerDepot At the 7:05 mark on the video, It looks like you have two mufflers (where the pipe balloons out) on side exhaust. Did you make them also?
Where do these guys get the cash to build this stuff? I raced for years and worked a regular job and still had to use mostly Gand me downs. Must have a rich daddy

I loved the way the front end lifted up when you mashed the gas pedal. That thing is going to be a beast. 67 is my favorite year

Cool to see the car almost (cars are never finished) finished and moving on its own power. Can't wait to see it go down the track.

The car looks great runs great. Fix that little blemish. N you are on the track again. Im glad you are ok. Be careful. Great job guys
Thanks for the update. Hope you guys have a productive day at the track on Saturday. Peace!

Wow, glad the lift incident wasn’t worse. Lol thanks for clearing up the sidepipe issue, I was gonna comment… “I’m seeing sidepipes everywhere now?..”

What a sweet ride! Sounds great! Good luck.
700 hp on an L-88 427. Awesome 👏. Especially without power adders.
The engine is actually closer to 600 ci.
Actually 560 Dan
No wonder only revving to 6200 instead of stock 6600 RPMs HP peak...
565 is the cid limit
L-88 is 427 cubic inches from the factory.

When I worked at a dealership years ago, had a car fall off after they had done some repairs to my lift. It was definitely scary. Glad you're okay.

After years of working as a tech at the dealership I've seen a number of cars and trucks come off the lift. Pretty scary stuff.
Sure is, like a slo mo bad dream btdt. Ever see a heavy 76 Caddy fall? Lol
Wasnt funny then but laugh now.

Sure is...shoulda put straight axles in the solid lifter cars.
Well can’t wait to see it go down the track
🇺🇸 Nice compound you guys have 🏁
Badass car! Love my '67 Corvair.
Dang, luckily no one got hurt and the damage was pretty minimal.
Another Awesome Video !!
The engine that you are using was originally seriously underrated at 435 horsepower.
He knows that
make sure the locks are engaged on the lift arms .that's why they are there
Hub dyno read a lil higher due to no rotating mass of wheel/tires?
Love the fact its driven. Hard

The black 69. Whats the actual engine size?? Also. Is it a solid roller?
Cheers too gran Pa

9:37 How do you make that nose lift?
Tons of torque
What are the mufflers that you installed in tandem under the sidecovers? I love your videos!
He said he made them
Tells us more about DG Performance please. I am Currently shopping Shocks for my car. Small tire (275/60 Radial pro) Low Horsepower (850)
you can rig a safety chain to keep a car from completely falling off that lift, to at least save yourself from getting squashed.
You need to invest in some under hoist jack stands.
That was great
What's your opinion on the TBM brakes?
Is this a stock L88? IakwYs heard stock motors were in the neighborhood of 560 hp at the crank.
what vacuum pump are you running, it is for crankcase evac? Thanks!
Star Machine.
Awsome!!
A little off subject, but what color is this car? Getting my vette ready for paint and I like the color.
1967 Marlboro maroon.
Awesome!!!!!
are those the 2O5 75R 15 radials ?
700+HP. N/A. Fuckin A brother wow
Gonna be a keeper ; )
Nice!
Have yall ever done a zl1 FAST car?
His Camaro was a ZL1 clone.
That’s what his orange Camaro was that he just retired.
Pour un bon moteur le rodage c est se qui y a de mieux que l huile qu on propose 🙏
everyone loves those lifts, Not me.
She gonna be a Bad Bitch !!!!!!😁😁
If it wasn’t for the last minute, you’d never get anything done. 😂
So that must mean that you guys are actually required to run a cage now that some of you are in the 9’s
Oh, its not a stock L88. Screw that.
Why ruin a factory L89 to build a race car ?
Because this world doesn’t need any more “restored” corvettes that just sit and collect dust.
Where do these guys get the cash to build this stuff? I raced for years and worked a regular job and still had to use mostly Gand me downs. Must have a rich daddy
When you don't drink or smoke, that leaves money for other things, like racing. 🤔
