  • Welcome to my UA-cam channel. This channel is the home for all your vintage Mid-Year Corvette content. In today's video I get the 68 Corvette delivered to the shop. We wash it and try to clean the inside of the car. We give it a full walk around to determine what the car needs and what is the best path forward.
I just finished restoring a 1963 Corvette Split Window and I am starting another split window build but this time its a race car build. I will be making videos every Friday. I will be making videos on my 1963 Corvette Split Window, my dad's 1965 Corvette, my race car split window build, my friends 1960 Corvette, and other projects that I find along the way. Let me know what you think about the video. Enjoy!!
If you are interested in an official MYM hat or if you have any questions please send me an email to midyearmitch@gmail.com.
Check out my Instagram for some behind the scenes pics of my builds.

You have the right plan Mitch. Car deserves to be done right. You also have one sweet place for playing with our favorite toys.

    Hey there Mitch,
What a beauty that one is! Besides C2's, I've always had a thing for the early C3's before the bumper laws. As a kid, these were pretty hot stuff, back in the day. The car looks like it's going 100mph while parked in the driveway. I'm pretty excited to see the restoration you are planning.
    Merry Christmas my friend!
    Take care,
    Dan

What a find. Excellent Mitch !
I would have also soaped down and pressure washed that engine bay.

    I love C2 and C3’s convertibles with a hardtop .. One of the reasons I bought a C5 FRC

A few years ago, I helped a friend get his Corvette running after it had sat for about a decade. I finally got it to fire up, but it was running rough. I revved the engine up and heard him laughing. I went to the rear of the car to see what was so funny, and there were mice nests on the ground and mice running everywhere. They had built nests in the mufflers!... Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I wouldn’t have moved the challenger for the power wash either. Lol, Chevy thru and thru!

435HP had solid lifters and a 6500 red line tach.

If your Dad would hang the rear license plate and cover in his garage, it would be a nice way to remember Greg by. It sure beats tossing it on the trash pile. Your first video no this has 2k likes and over 118 thousand views.

I have an almost overwhelming desire to start the car as is and at least drive it down the road and back. And maybe a couple donut burnouts? But that's how an old shade tree mechanic thinks.

I've also heard that CE could have stood for Counter Engine or Chevrolet Engineering.

I did the same program on a really nice, original paint 1977 Trans Am. It came completely apart, got serviced, put back together and enjoyed.

CE designates a counter engine which means it was purchased through the parts department.

As an owner of a '72, I was wondering if this car would make its way back to this channel. A full restoration seems pretty ambitious but looking forward to the content.
