    Those 1/700 planes on aircraft carriers are always killing me. They are like human faces, no matter how small they are, any imperfections on them are still very visible on a finalized model and painting them properly in this scale is no easy task even for nimble hands. You have nailed them 100 % though.

      I wanted to get into modelling and bought a bunch of planes modelled in transparent plastic, so I could leave the cockpits unpainted and have them "see through"... ish.
      Then I just sold everything.

    There is something about WW1 and WW2 ships that are just romantic and stylish.
    Modern ones still look badass but they feel like some kind of a streamlined soulless machines.

      Why stop there let's all remove our car wheels and push the body around on logs its slower but more romantic...... push faster love we are only doing two logs a minute.... we are almost at McDonald's

      I was building a Fujimi 1/700 Zuikaku over the weekend, my first aircraft carrier kit and the planes legit drove me insane lol, didn't help that the runner was in clear plastic for some god damn reason.

      I almost died laughing when I spent 2 whole days trying to get the stickers to work on a 1:400 scale Kitty Hawk, and then noticing that the instructions were on the back.

    As a longtime fan of resin water modeling, I was skeptical of his foil method in the beginning. But after seeing it finished, I have to say that's one of the best ocean surface models I've ever seen.

    The more videos I'm watching the more I've to laugh about my first steps in modeling: I built a ship model and put it on my window sill :D Okay, that was over 20 years ago ... Amazing model and scenery! The only thing I would have added would be smoke from the large exhaust openings at the side :)

      It was a cheap material for imperial Japan. Which was effective

      It isn't tatami, it's a wooden deck, which proved disastrous in the battle of midway

    Akagi was from the start too be a Battelcruiser in the Amagi class. But under the buildt she redesigned and buildt to a CV.
    Ps. What an amazing buildt with so many details and with that ocean, it's just stunning.

      I think Shoukaku and Zuikaku look better in AZUR LANE, but Akagi and Kaga are better in KANCOLLE

    As an addition you can make engine smoke from the side exhaust, grey-dark grey. That'd be an excellent touch for this model. Good job m8. You inspire me everytime with your videos.     Amazing job, always loved the Akagi and your modeling really showed credit to all those fine details. Didn't quite catch it if you said it but what were those small pieces almost like sandbags or something on Akagi's bridge.
