I was actually eating dinner once at a friends house, and they had some. they asked me why I wasn't eating any and it was kinda awkward but funny at the same time.

I wonder how did this series managed to touch so many souls so deeply. Because if it didn't touch our souls, I don't know why so many have the same feelings from different minds. People out there I know have watched this series and told me they've cried. Started learning keyboard around 8 years ago, and when i first first started i could only play until 1:05 but today i have finally gone back to this song and been learning for around 1-3 months to play this, and i've finally finished learning the song, all i need now is practice and perfecting this 4minute piece that i have self-taught myself. couldn't be prouder.

*Spoilers* I remember when my friend was hounding me to watch Clannad and was going on about how incredible the After Story was. When I finally watched it and Nagisa sang this song for the first time I thought it was the dumbest song ever, And when she said that it's what the girl in her play (What turns out to later also be Tomoya's Illusionary world) sings at the end saying how idiotic that was. Then balling like a baby when it finally happens at the end of After Story, and it still makes tear up now and that goes to show just how truly incredible this show is.
It wasn't an illusion, it happened. Nagisa and Ushio did die. One theory I've seen is that when Ushio dies Tomoya kills himself out of grief and that's why he embodies the robot his daughter made because they are both dead. Then she mentions her wishes (if my memory is correct) and then the orbs of light grant her wish, to know her mother, so time is reset to make it come true. That's why Tomoya still has the memories of the 5 years after Nagisas death.

I was practically screaming because I cried so much... and so I turned to this. I thought that, since this song turned tragic into magical, it might remind me of the wonder of a happy ending?
In the main "Nakayoshi Dango" chorus like bit, not gonna lie, made it slightly worse. But I managed to let out a lot of tears I'd been holding in for a long time. The melody at the end soothed me and I am now happier, although still hugging my pillow like Nagisa's Dango cushion =3
