In the first season, the Dango melody was just a fun little song about dessert dumplings. Then throughout the anime, it becomes associated with Nagisa more and more. By the end of After Story, after all the emotional turmoil, any use of the melody becomes a tearjerker. I wish I could watch Clannad for the first time again.
around 1:32 is when i ended up in tears. Not only the moment of Nagisa dying was brought back to me, also the moment that Ushio and Tomoya were on the train back home and Ushio asked what kind of person Nagisa was. ;-;
this song and the show literally take my breath away, this song is so hopeful, the end theme, where everything is ok and all goodness is restored, this isn't just a song but a foretaste of heaven.
This is one of the only songs in anime that can so consistently bring back such strong emotion. The only others that come close are "Hyori Ittai" from HxH, "One Day" from One Piece, and "Tabidachi no Uta" from assassination classroom.
I'm so in love with CLANNAD. I can't even begin to describe how much. IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL :3 I even covered this song...in the original Japanese...:P haha
@@JK-uc8ug you can do it!!! I am reading sheet music, also most of the parts are repetitive. Start it slow and focus one hand at a time until you master it and do it both hands! Get motivated to ensure the efficiency of your success. It never felt any good to finish a piece you've loved. PS: I just memorized the piece in 1 week and after that, I gradually make it better and mastered. Have fun!

This anime is the best, just listening to the song makes me cry and be full of nostalga. Not being sexist but i am a guy and i am not ment to cry in such suttle things like this =P

Instead of telling us how you 'burst out in tears' at such and such part, as that is almost like flaunting your tears/emotions, why not instead tell us something like hearing this song made you remember all those moments when.... blah blah blah.
Yes, I found it relatively easy to learn. If you're having trouble, I would suggest practicing a few scales first; that should really help. It's not a particularly complex piece but the sections with the simultaneous melody and ostinatos can be quite tricky. :3
i master it it was hard to memorize some the notes that i found is wrong but i fix it by hearing it and it was perfect i was crying while playing the piano
May I get the name of the program producing the sound? The quality of the sound is amazing and sounds just like the original. I know that its not synthesia, as I have used that before and it doesn't sound near this good.
I haven't found one that has been as powerful yet. Clannad was so sad because it was realistic. I felt like I was actually watching someone's life, and I knew each character deeply. I haven't found something so powerful yet
+Jay Flight As much as I don't want to admit it, I think Clannad was a very lucky coincidence; as if all the right people came together at the right time and produced something exceptionally beautiful. Story, direction, presentation, music, attention to detail. I find it hard to believe that anyone could masterfully and repeatedly put something like this together with skill alone. Subsequent anime produced by the same studio seems to back my hypothesis. I don't think I'll be lucky enough to ever experience another Clannad in my lifetime, and as such I stopped searching. I guess I should be grateful that I got to experience it at all. However, if you do end up stumbling on something similar, please don't forget to update here.
+Jake Reason Made by Key, but animated by another studio; Little Busters and it's 2nd Season Little Busters Refrain is almost as beautiful as Clannad. It's cast of characters and their arcs' are pretty good and dynamic in personality. And just like the 2nd season of Clannad, the 2nd season of Little Busters hits pretty hard emotionally.
