Perfect light at a location that may disappear in the future - Landscape Photography

- After last week's visit to the Precipice Walk above Dolgeallau, @Stainphotography and I visit Fairbourne, a village just over the estuary from Barmouth and a location which may be gone in the future due to the sea levels rising. We couldn't have arrived with better photography conditions, a beautiful still, calm afternoon and perfect light flooding the valleys.

Hey, some rules are made for breaking 🙂I like the fact that the boat is facing out of frame - to me it tells the story of it coming in from the water and running aground. To me it makes it feel less abandoned and more "shipwrecky" (Not a real word but I'm claiming it) 🙂
Oh and that final image... beautiful. Just a simple, calm composition. Love it Martin.
👍
Haha, thanks Garry, I agree with the shipwrecky statement, glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks Martin for yet another superb vlog.
Thanks Podgy, glad you enjoyed it, great to have you on the podcast the other night
Beautiful images Martin.......
Thank you Graham
Love the vlog ,Love the images and the discussion between you & Steve !!!
Thanks Eilir! 😁
Some great images there but that last image was just amazing. Great day again 👍
Thanks mate, was a cracking day
Love watching these videos
Thank you x
Nice photos mate. Loved that final one.
Thanks mate
Very nice mate. Lovely images, lovely location.
Thanks mate
That is so funny, before Steve said it "the boat is pointing out of frame" was my first thought looking at the portrait and landscape formats. FB is such a nice place with the old signs and Victorian buildings and a backdrop to die for. Thanks Martin, another memory restored.
Thanks Peter, glad it brought some memories back, I'll have to return at some point and look more at the old signs and Victorian buildings. But yeah that backdrop is outstanding!
I knew as soon as I walked up to the boat what Steve was referring to, but still think it makes a nice scene, club judges probably wouldn't agree, but I like it anyway 🙂
Nothing wrong with the boat shots
You shoot for yourself not any composition rule of photographic competition 📷👍
@@eltinjones4542 I guess if you wish to publish your images and ask for criticism as Martin was doing then you should expect comments but I agree that you should shoot what you like.
lovely images and must say the last one is beautiful. 👍
Thanks so much Phil
Lovely video from a super location Martin.👌👍.
Thanks so much Mark, glad you enjoyed it, not a place I've seen any vlogs from before.
What a tranquil location that is mate, for me my favourites were the boat with the grasses in the foreground.
Thanks mate, it was very tranquil on the afternoon we were there, suspect it's not always like that 😂
@MHLandscape no I can imagine with the recent weather we're having it will be a little different lol
Hi Martin I'm a bit behind watching your video's so slowly catching up. For me the boat pointing out of the image didn't bother me although I can imagine a camera club judge would mark it down (but you know my thoughts on club judges) That last image was stunning and I especially like the square crop. Lovely pastel colours.
Thanks so much Paul, you know my thoughts on judges too 😂
“Litten up” 😂
What's wrong with litten up? 😂
