Using Fog for Separation in the Woodland - Woodland Photography
After a couple of weeks away from the camera during the Christmas holiday it was great to get back out with the camera at Cannock Chase with ‪@Stainphotography‬ To clear my mind and enjoy some woodland photography.
For weeks on end it seemed the UK was battered by wet and windy conditions, but finally the weather apps predicted fog and for once, they were right!

Some cracking images there Martin. Really like those dancing trees. The lack of leaves and the fog certainly brings out their character. Sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. A very fitting tribute.

Wonderful dedication mate, I'm very sorry for your loss. Dogs are the most pure love that we are given in this life. I'm certain Benjy will be greatly missed.
Wonderful images Martin, especially the opening shot at 2:15. What a beautiful tree, although I think it looks more like a tuning fork than a dinner fork. Well done mate, great video!

The more and more I see this location the more I need to visit it mate. Yet again you have captured the area amazingly 👏 for me I would say I'd have to have fog just to create that separation and defuse the background a bit.

Hi Martin First off I loved your deer impression 😊 you were just missing the other antler 😅 I loved those two oaks in the mist 👌 fantastic atmospheric conditions. I do need to visit the Chase again next time mist is forecast. Sorry to hear about the loss of your dog 😢 Hopefully we've still got a few years left with ours.

Thanks mate, wasn't till I started looking back at the footage I realised I'd grew an antler 🤣 The chase is wonderful, especially more so in such conditions.
Thanks for your comments regarding Benjy, not going to lie it's been very hard since we lost him on new years eve, they really are a part of the family and love unconditionally.

Lovely video. The scene at 15:00 if you move a little more to your left there’s a comp there with the slingshot tree included centrally but in the background

It was definitely foggier up there than the part I was in, a slight height advantage to where I ended. Cannock chase doesn't get a lot of fog, more low lying cloud, which never seems quite thick enough. Lovely images, difficult to pick my fav. , think the last landscape image.

Another fantastic video and images. Cannock really does look great 👍 Enjoyed it... Award for the best supporting cast has to go to Steve... "That Twig" made a good effort for the award but its performance was too "Wooden" 🤦‍♂
