Battle of the Edits - 2 Photographers, Same Photo, Interesting Results..
Something a bit different from me this week! I challenged ‪@Stainphotography‬ to edit the same photo as me, then we had a call to discuss our different editing styles.
As we were unsure which photo we wanted to edit, we both chose two photos neither of us have got round to editing yet and got the Thumbs-Up photography group ( / 1766973296972741 ) to choose for us.
Choosing a challenging edit from a trip to the Lake District last Autumn, it was really interesting to see how we both took a different approach to the edit. Hopefully you will pick up some helpful tips from this video helping you develop your own photography style.
I also discuss the use of a panel I use in Photoshop - Pro Panel by ‪@johnweatherby6584‬ - thepropanel.com/ - I have no affiliate with the panel, I just find it really good to use!

interesting to see your take on the edit on this image Martin, two very different edits, I am surprised to see how many applications you have used to get the end result, but both final images have so much improvement on the base image, and look great, like I said to Steve it would have been interesting to have seen your edit cropped.

Thanks so much Martin, I found it very interesting to see the differences in our editing. I did contemplate cropping the image, the only thing is the flat topped peak on the left hand side of the image I found that I wanted to leave it in as it's a fell called Castle Crag, quite a dominant fell in that area of the Lake District, an interesting subject in its own right with it's flat top. However I do really like the cropped version Steve did as it does put more emphasis on the hut.

Great video it’s always interesting to see different takes on processing of a photograph. That’s why I like Ansel Adams quote “the negative is the score and the print is the performance “ each performance can be different even if it’s just subtle and this can even from the same person doing the performance / editing. Great work on the edit on both edits
