You did perfectly, a steady groove, dynamic changes (first hihat, then ride), nice fills, nothing over the top. Gives a great ground for the piano player to play and improvise on.
One of the few covers I’ve seen that actually captures the groove and feel Billy had. Also helps you got a locked drummer too. I earnestly believe Mr. Preston would be proud.
