Releasing yet another SW4 variation instead of expanding on SW5 is definitely a choice
So true actually, especially considering it's Samurai Warriors 20th anniversary, it would've been the perfect time to announce a SW6 or an expansion to SW5 that decloned characters and followed up the story with Hideyoshi and Ieyasu. Could've also introduced Yukimura back in the series cause it's still wild he wasn't in the game at all even if it didn't make sense historically (even though for Samurai Warriors it was Koei's whole thing was that Yukimura would appear in battles he wasn't in or substitute for officers who weren't in the series already)
Looks like almost nobody cares about SW5. I don't.
For sure they will expand upon a game that spitted in every single foundation created by the 4 games before. Sorry if you only played 5, but 4 and Spirits of Sanada are much more complete games with compelling storylines.
But for sure people prefer to see Nobunaga Oda the dark monarch be transformed in a generic shonen protagonist that is always smiling, give me a break.

to be fair, this release is pretty old. It released on PS4 and Switch all the way back in 2019, but was never available outside of Japan.....for some reason. It's weird that they're deciding to exclude Switch and Playstation with the english release too

But good news if you’ve got a pretty decent PC! Get the Xbox 360 emulator and play SW2, SW2 Empires & SW2XL in 4K (looks amazing btw trust me)
Definitely see this PC port as Koei's yearly Warriors release just like Warriors Orochi 3. The next game whatever it might be is taking longer than expected. Which in all honesty its fair since we know game development now a days just take longer now. Yea it might suck for people who already have these titles on their consoles for years now so this drop is basically nothing for them, but im still glad these PC ports are becoming more frequent. (Also it took Koei like a decade or something but they actually know how to make a good warriors port while also having Steam Cloud on PC now looking back at the past few releses 😭)

Please remaster the old Samurai Warriors games and Dynasty Warriors games for PC like Dynasty Warriors 4 and 5, or Samurai Warriors 1 and 2, please I beg you :(
Funny thing is some of these titles already had a PC port in the past, they just have to translate or update them to final version, like Dynasty Warriors 4, Samurai Warriors 2 and Warriors Orochi 1/Z. Even if they had to remove English audio, they would still sell a lot.

Please consider releasing a remastered version of Samurai Warriors 2, for PC and/or Switch. It was one of the best games of the franchise, so it would be amazing to make it available on newer hardware.

The Geography aspect is too problematic i think. Unlike DW and SW which has a clear setting(Three kingdom china and Warring States japan)

I'm hoping for a Dynasty Warriors 10 as well! My hopes is that it's a time skip, and perhaps more focused around Shu (and a similar format to Spirit of Sanada)

@@NoelJohnCarlo Well there was a Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce 2 but it was in Japanese and it had some new characters in there and a new villain in there too and Koei messed that up because it didn't get released in the US.. Only in Japan.. I did watch the whole cutscenes of Dynasty Warriors StrikeForce 2 but unfortunately it didn't had English Sub just original Japanese caption words..

$50 for a ten year old game that still looks like an early PS3 game. I used to have fun with the old DW and SW games. I havent played one in years though. Its just the same copy paste. Hopefully, the franchise gets rebooted at some point.

Every Xbox one game runs in Xbox series console, so with 1 game version you will reach 2 console generations.
No rivals - both games are unique and dont have competitors in the Xbox family.
My wallet is open, just release the games to Xbox one and you Koei will be rewarded 👍

Okay honestly this isn't the worst idea go back to what you know. But five was just such a disaster that you guys need to actually come up with characters with very unique moveset that is tied to them instead of what you did in Samurai Warriors 5 just give everyone the same move to set and the only difference is, is the character you play.
Yea I remember a discussion in the community for a while was that Dynasty/Samurai Warriors had too many characters which is why the series had so many clones like DW6, Base DW7, and Base DW9. Then when SW5 came out and took out a bunch of characters there were still a huge number of clones anyways lmao
@@treaon511 well you can have a bunch of characters the problem is is that a whole lot of them are just clones of one another they need to actually go out there way with the characterization as well as the move sets that they have during gameplay to make them unique send senrun kagura had 40 characters plus the DLC ones and each and every one of them had unique move sets
I wished that they would have made new SW with graphics like DW9 and extenden story but instead they made new SW5 remake which is mediocre. Shameful really.

The games aren’t as challenging anymore, games like Warriors Orochi 4 with DW3 style difficulty would’ve been absolutely perfect but now all your characters are so stupidly overpowered with no challenge at all, the Chaos difficulty simply buffs the damage of the AI and nothing more, it doesn’t necessarily make it a proper challenge.
