Yep I'm 100% certain that the beatbox scene is corrupt. Judges helping their friends win and they make it so obvious. It's becoming way more frequent that the judges pick the worst beatboxer In competitions and then play it off with the "you wasn't there to hear it live card" or "the judges are professionals card". Wake up people this stuff is majorly rigged, friends helping friends so they can get titles on a piece of paper to help better their career.
Peter Griffin It's already happened. The judges know they can make it as obvious as they like because there is no alternative place. There is only one American championship and the scene is so small it is inevitable that judges will know the whole list of competitors. That being said because the beatbox scene is still not taken as seriously like other competitions it's easy for rigging and corruption. This is not crazy talk this is what myself and many others have noticed over the years of being involved in this scene

Kaila's hated because she's annoying and sucks, and Mark's hated because he sucks and didn't deserve to win.
1st. Ok I wasnt there live, but please listen to my arguments on why Trung Bao beat Mark Martin. Firstly, Mark Martin's beats were clean, but a 4 month amateur could have the same beats in their arsenal. Trung Bao's beats were intricate, they had variety, were sick, and had so much power to them. Mark Martin has musicality but nothing that would impress anyone to the slightest. Trung Bao was powerful, impressive and he definitely made a name for himself. Next, the judges. Friends, girlfriends, boyfriends and relatives should NOT be judges for their loved ones. They can be biased (which I believe was a case here) towards their judgement and it can lead to an unfair win. Kaila shouldnt be a judge for Mark because shes dating him and they are a tag team. Gene is friends with him and Dharni dislikes Villain (which is why villain lost). Alem and Peouponi have good judgement and have no biasm in them towards the championships. Dont say trung cant win coz hes vietnamese. if that was the case, he shouldn't be able to compete. Mark also used 11 sounds total and was very repetitive. He would do well in Loop station not singles. I am not a very good beatboxer and Im sure I can beat Mark in a battle. Trung Bao deserved the win and is better skill wise. Hopefully i wont get slandered for this, but feel free to leave you opinion below!
arceusZX idk if you know that this is all mastered so even the weakest sound will sound like it's really loud live. And the judges are not biased. The judges have styles that they particularly like. Mark's style was a huge risk and a big step to open beatboxers minds that simplicity and musicality can win over even the most complicated techniques. In the end, it's all about expressing yourself on stage.

I reckon SMG from the elimination round was better. I was shocked he didn't get through when he was that fast. He was something that sounded different from the liproll and bass ruotines that almost everyone else did. All mark did was add singing, so how can that be considered different.

Enderbone 517 D-low is a better beatboxer than Codfish normally, but in the actual final battle, I agree with the judgement, D-low didn’t do nearly as good as usual whereas Codfish was consistent and gave a good performance.
Its very clear what happened here. The first two rounds had a clear winner, and the judges pushed it into overtime to find an excuse to give it to Mark. Dont get me wrong, Mark is a great beatboxer, and I do enjoy his sets, but he didnt deserve to be in the finals, let alone win them. I watched the last two videos, and in every single round he started out exactly the same. He would sing in between a kick and snare, very simple. This whole event was a sham. I have been following all these competitions since Faith SFX beat beardyman, Im just as disgusted as everyone in the comment section is. First video I will be disliking out of protest.

At 8:10 , that's me when i first started beatboxing and my friends reacting like the judges are. I didn't know i can win the championchip like that ( I'm literally crying laughing , cuz i keep looking how stupid that part is xD)
Look I'm usually the one defending the winners and I can understand where Mark is coming from in term of style. But this is beyond absurd. Did they just make Trung lose coz they either wanted to give Mark a chance or like coz Trung's not exactly from America? Usually I can debate with myself and convincing myself that the decision is the right one. This is not. Sure Mark has some musicality at least but what the heck did he beat Trung in?! Technique definitely goes to Trung, no question about that, and for me I would say musicality is a tie... broken, leaning slightly towards Trung for being able to be amazingly smooth and having incredible flow. 8/10 for Trung I say, and like 4/10 for Mark. This is absurd, I'm waiting for a report on what exactly happened between the judges...

Dont get me wrong, Mark is a great beatboxer, and I do enjoy his sets, but he didnt deserve to be in the finals, let alone win them. I watched the last two videos, and in every single round he started out exactly the same. He would sing in between a kick and snare, very simple.
This whole event was a sham. I have been following all these competitions since Faith SFX beat beardyman, Im just as disgusted as everyone in the comment section is. First video I will be disliking out of protest.

Honestly, for H-Has and Bataco, Cod's win was justified. Especially on the semis, he did an amazing job countering Bataco. For the final, I'm not too sure either, but it was far, *far* from the bullshit that THIS battle was.

Look I'm usually the one defending the winners and I can understand where Mark is coming from in term of style. But this is beyond absurd. Did they just make Trung lose coz they either wanted to give Mark a chance or like coz Trung's not exactly from America? Usually I can debate with myself and convincing myself that the decision is the right one. This is not. Sure Mark has some musicality at least but what the heck did he beat Trung in?! Technique definitely goes to Trung, no question about that, and for me I would say musicality is a tie... broken, leaning slightly towards Trung for being able to be amazingly smooth and having incredible flow. 8/10 for Trung I say, and like 4/10 for Mark. This is absurd, I'm waiting for a report on what exactly happened between the judges...
