Jo guys. Just as an explanation for my second round, I made some last minute adjustments the day before the battle which made the track longer than it was before without me noticing. In the moment I was pretty confused about the timer, but just to make it clear everything went fair and there wasn't an issue with the timer, it was a human error :P Pretty silly mistake, but what can you do about it 🤷♂ Other than that I am happy with the battle and the tournament overall. Respect to Matej for his stage presence and performance, I will try to do better next time. My first round: Leave it all Behind My second round: King of Cyberpunk will both be available on most streaming platforms including UA-cam soon! That's all I have to say thank you guys :)

Feels bad that Syjo couldn't perform his second drop. If he did, things could have went different but that was a mistake he made that in the end likely caused Matej to win. For the third time, the semi-finals proved much stronger than the finals. However, this is my saddest battle of the year because I wish SyJo had been able to do his second drop, but that doesn't mean Matej is not a monster, we also hope to see ScottJackson showcase in an upcoming video.
People who talk about messed up timer need to go back to primary school for some maths instead of watching beatbox. Syjo round starts at 8:40. Max round time is 3 min 40 sec, unless I'm missing something - but it matches other battles and his 1st round. He gets cut out at 12:30, which is ~10 above allowed time. Seems like a bad miscalculation on his part and that's it. I think he may have for some reason thought it's 4 mins as in producer category as he mentioned 20 extra seconds, which is quite off. Mistakes happen and props for refs for verifying the timers even though they didn't have to. People bashing them for this situation/result are not the sharpest tools in the shed.
From next year onwards there should be timer next to the loop station for loop battlers so that there won't be timing issue syjo 2nd drop would have hit hard 😢

I absolutely love Matej but to me it’s still a Syjo win even with the mistake. Matejs last drop was just TOO fucking good and the recency bias killed Syjos chances.

Im somewhat sure what holds Syjo back is the complexity he wants his tracks to have or his standart of complexity in his tracks. All Syjo needs is stepping down a tad bit so the execution isnt hard as a rock and more forgivable and im sure he wins a gbb ^^

I think in 2019 they had small monitors in feont of the performers that displayed the same timer. Should have kept that.
