Ordered a package with 2 carriers, side panels and IV rifle plates (not sure when I'll need 'em, but carry a plate in a small backpack to use as a shield, maybe).....Am old, never attacked, yet, but drive cross country road trips every year to visit family (CA, CO) and friends (AZ).....Always felt fairly safe, but no longer.....

The thin armor does not tend to be flexible and is even more uncomfortable. My last issued armor I elected for level II instead of IIIa because it was thinner and I carried 9mm. Well it was thin and light alright and also the most uncomfortable armor I wore in over 10 years of the work. The most comfortable on the other hand was the stuff in the military issued IBA and some point blank gold flex armor I purchased while working security work in college. I actually wore a plate carrier with level III poly plates and it was more comfortable than the issued II. That and I only put on a uniform on for things that would likely have me shot with rifle rounds instead of pistol rounds. I look forward to seeing how it works in this video.

They have to get the cost down to the price of the 3A plus. The Hyperline clearly exceeds its 3A rating meaning you can’t stab trough it and it stops 5.7FN and those 90 grain 9mm

  • @timgray5763

Great job Bro ! My daughter and I both have these from SLD, hers was more with Hyperline concealed carrier and full FRAS plates as an option of her choice, but her School back pack has has a FRAS plate in it on velcro just tell ‘em the ceramic tiles face the enemy not your self. Mine is concealed carrier for the Hyperline only and the tactical carrier has FRAS plates and has no straps. I have the FRAS side armor with Velcro but it stays in my trunk in case of stupid ! Getting shot totally sucks !! either way it f-in hurts ! But this way I think u have about 80% chance of getting up , which is better than most that never do……. Get back up ! The reason I said 80% is you still have 20% of important shit hangin outside the vest.

@welikeshooting Do you know what I figured out? I was going over my plate carrier and noticed on the inside where the full plate goes to protect the rear, Inside there is an insert for another plate. On the front of the plate carrier there is a velcro pouch, but on the rear plate carrier that same pouch is on the inside. You have to remove the plate to locate the insert slot plate holder.

I want to upgrade to Hyperline so bad. That stuff is absolutely NUTS in every test I've watched. And the carrier is great for fatties. I'm running the 7XL. I wear a 6XL t-shirt and the 7XL carrier/armor fits fantastic with room to adjust and wear over a light jacket or layered clothing if I wanted to.

Look up Hardwire shoot test on UA-cam. They shoot the shit out of one including .50 through a Desert Eagle and 5.7 @2150 fps. Hyperline is just wanna be hardwire. Oh and Hardwire is actually NIJ certified if that’s important to you

@nathanbell6712 NIJ is not important. Government bureaucracy. I’ve seen hardwire. Stuff looks good
