I really like this format of review. Concise, shows the pros/cons, shows the important points, doesn't waste time or repeat stuff over and over, and is clearly well-scripted beforehand.
Thank you for not doing the typical UA-camr format of shoot, check for pass through, shoot check, shoot…. You showed your work, got to the results and saved me 10 minutes of filler.
Now they have hyperline with HG 2 even better and thinner .190 thick if u don’t understand decimal system it’s under 1/4” by .060 though Thousands of an inch.
@@WeLikeShooting You should check out Line Of Fire (LOF). They're a Canadian company. From my understanding, all their products are made/sourced in North America. I haven't bought their armor (yet); however, I have bought their carrier (patroler) and I can say, 100% they're one of the best companies around when it comes to armor, carriers, patches and I.D tapes.
New sub. I'm surprised more people don't talk about body armor. In most situations it's more efficient at saving your life than having a weapon yourself
This armor is really nice; I'm definitely going to get this for EDC. Also, you've gained a subscriber, this is what I expect a review to be on UA-cam, although the algorithm is working against you at eight minutes.
Excellent vid!.....Have watched several Safe Life body armor vids.....Opted for IIIA+ to protect from stabs/slashes, also.... Ordered a package with 2 carriers, side panels and IV rifle plates (not sure when I'll need 'em, but carry a plate in a small backpack to use as a shield, maybe).....Am old, never attacked, yet, but drive cross country road trips every year to visit family (CA, CO) and friends (AZ).....Always felt fairly safe, but no longer.....
They have to get the cost down to the price of the 3A plus. The Hyperline clearly exceeds its 3A rating meaning you can’t stab trough it and it stops 5.7FN and those 90 grain 9mm
I'd like to see them make a suit jacket with that stuff! Also, this would be an interesting material for military armor, just make it thicker to handle their requirements.
*PLEASE please PLEASE SLD: MAKE A SECOND CONCEALABLE VEST VERSION AVAILABLE WITHOUT THE FRONT AND BACK POUCHES & VELCRO CLOSURES (To allow optional additional hard plates)!!!* Having a second option concealable vest without that feature would make it SOOO much more concealable!!!! For those who want max concealability like me and I'm sure many others too, this will make an incredible difference. There's definitely alot more that cam be done to make the vest more concealable, but that is a huge start
I have the fras version of this with the side panels and I have plans to buy 2 stand alone fras panels for my fras vest from safe Life defense I'm really happy with mine light and flexible going to be happier when I get the stand alone panels and make it a more badass tac vest
Great job Bro ! My daughter and I both have these from SLD, hers was more with Hyperline concealed carrier and full FRAS plates as an option of her choice, but her School back pack has has a FRAS plate in it on velcro just tell ‘em the ceramic tiles face the enemy not your self. Mine is concealed carrier for the Hyperline only and the tactical carrier has FRAS plates and has no straps. I have the FRAS side armor with Velcro but it stays in my trunk in case of stupid ! Getting shot totally sucks !! either way it f-in hurts ! But this way I think u have about 80% chance of getting up , which is better than most that never do……. Get back up ! The reason I said 80% is you still have 20% of important shit hangin outside the vest.
Sorry Bro I miss typed one thing my daughters has full FRAS panels not plates mine has plates because I run to trouble and stupid evil pieces of shit with extreme prejudice of said Evil.
The thin armor does not tend to be flexible and is even more uncomfortable. My last issued armor I elected for level II instead of IIIa because it was thinner and I carried 9mm. Well it was thin and light alright and also the most uncomfortable armor I wore in over 10 years of the work. The most comfortable on the other hand was the stuff in the military issued IBA and some point blank gold flex armor I purchased while working security work in college. I actually wore a plate carrier with level III poly plates and it was more comfortable than the issued II. That and I only put on a uniform on for things that would likely have me shot with rifle rounds instead of pistol rounds. I look forward to seeing how it works in this video.
@welikeshooting Do you know what I figured out? I was going over my plate carrier and noticed on the inside where the full plate goes to protect the rear, Inside there is an insert for another plate. On the front of the plate carrier there is a velcro pouch, but on the rear plate carrier that same pouch is on the inside. You have to remove the plate to locate the insert slot plate holder.
Man the video creation is spot on… music a tad too distracting for me as you’re providing a plethora of knowledge and I enjoy it but hard to focus. The production is NICE!
I want to upgrade to Hyperline so bad. That stuff is absolutely NUTS in every test I've watched. And the carrier is great for fatties. I'm running the 7XL. I wear a 6XL t-shirt and the 7XL carrier/armor fits fantastic with room to adjust and wear over a light jacket or layered clothing if I wanted to.
Experiments in layering IIIA soft material to stop bullets has been pretty disappointing. I think it took something like six vests back and front. They physics of rifle velocity ammo just requires hard plates to stop it.
@@WeLikeShooting i saw this being sold somewhere on line for like $50 when you said it cost alot more than that is this a scam or a different product labed as it how do i tell if it is a scam or a different product?
Look up Hardwire shoot test on UA-cam. They shoot the shit out of one including .50 through a Desert Eagle and 5.7 @2150 fps. Hyperline is just wanna be hardwire. Oh and Hardwire is actually NIJ certified if that’s important to you

Just curious, if you shot it with fast calibers like 5.7 and 22tcm, why not shoot it with common calibers like 556?
Not rated for them, pointless mostly. I shot it with 308 and it did exactly what I expected 😂
@@WeLikeShooting People seem to do that a lot in such videos. "Let's see how this IIIA vest handles .338 Lapua."

Do you think a trauma pad would be beneficial to further reduce trauma? I haven't seen anyone test this yet.
Trauma pads are always a good idea, even if you stop a bullet that is still a lot of force pushing in on you.
Backface deformation was minimal and within standards
they make great kit, /./but why not NIJ certified?./
Takes years, they will be
Love the video I will subscribe love the armor not a big fan of the shirt.
Haha that’s ok
It'll stop 75 mm capped ballistic capped. But not 76mm hvap
😂😂
will it stop 223? or 556?
No, it’s iiia
then why ISNT it NIJ certified?
Takes time. The process it’s extremely beurocratic and takes years.
Looks great works great but that price hurts regardless of where it’s made that’s a high price
Mine came in today , its the base level but it felt heavy to me , maybe i get an upgrade Level 111A+ Lol it stops everything except an AR or 30-06
So it can stop a 556 green tip, 308 black out, and 762?
