    Hey Gunny, I followed all your videos on your Torana resto and IMO what you did with this car was a perfect restore as it wasn't over the top which could take years and cost a fortune with you possibly getting tired of it and on the other hand it wasn't a quick bodge it with loads of filler then a quick paint, I really like these older cars as they have a personality all of their own👌
    The colour code you mentioned didn't show up on my system but I found Ford Orange Fury via a search and gave me the code M7409 which is a 3 stage and looks the same as what you used👏🙏👍John UK

    Hi Gunman! Maybe in the distant future you can give it a flow coat, and brush over the topic of painting over old paint as they call it a "blow-over" for other cars when wanting a quick respray if you know what I mean, not exactly your car it will be a flow coat if anything.

    Nice work Gunny what about a 1.2 and the T110 cap doesn’t that lay a flatter finish then the T10 or is it just to slow for an overall job?

    Mate, unreal finish on this car! You inspire me to paint my own car in my shed. What spray gun would you recommend? Is that ANI compact you like big enough to paint a whole car?

    Hi Gunman,
    Great channel and content as always.
    I had seen your videos on the Iwata supernova and the issue with the spray pattern being heavy on both ends at full fan. Then saw your gunman raw video with the Lotus edition and the loosened fluid tip to line the nozzles with the air horns that ended up leaking air.
    In the video below another youtuber attempts to address this issue by matching the air horns to the tightened fluid tip which results in the air horns being tilted and spray pattern angled, therefore having to spray with the gun slightly tilted, but apparently results in a even spray pattern at full fan and full fluid. It would be pretty interesting if you could test this out, I am not a painter unfortunately so I can't test this although I would like to paint one day. All credit to the below youtuber if it does end up working out. Thanks for all the great content and fun reviews over the years.

      Hey mate, I actually tried that, I couldn't see any difference at all.

    • @sphoenix8110
      @sphoenix8110 19 днів тому

      @@TheGunmanChannel thanks for the reply, it seems the split nozzle technology is used on the W400 classic with WBX and WB2 aircaps, I wonder if these guns suffer with the same issues, maybe they do, it's quite interesting, the atomisation technology must be so intricate that minute differences in everything from gun machining to thickness of the clears/temperature etc effect the spray pattern through the gun as the end result. Just speculation I guess but generally the more finely machined something is, the more sensitive it is to external factors. Maybe that could be why you experienced spray pattern flaws in some of the new guns from SATA, Devilbiss, Iwata as a result of finer machining these days or more likely it's just poor quality control/cost cutting.
      I can liken it to modern diesel fuel injectors which have extremely fine atomisation of the diesel where even with modern machining every injector produced has uncontrollable differences in manufacturing such that in the end there is enough difference in fuel delivery that each injector must be matched with a programming code to dial in the injector.
      Computer microprocessors are similar in that microprocessor produced on the same production line will all have different processing speeds by factors the machining process simply can't control. Sorry I'm being a nerd now, lol. I'm an engineer by education hence the nerd-iness.
