- This video compares the difference between stock exhaust, nameless 5 inch mufflers, 4 inch mufflers and the muffler deletes.
I think the muffler deletes sound the best, however were just too loud for me when starting my car late at night or early mornings ( don't want to make my neighbors hate me)
5 inch was a little louder than stock and had a nice throaty rumble.
4 inch are a happy medium still loud when you open it up … just not too loud to be annoying

I have a '15 and will be doing a significant amount of work on the car in the next 12 months and a Nameless exhaust is definitely high on the list, but I was really torn about which way to go vis-à-vis the mufflers (or lack thereof). I have the 4" muffler and love it. perfect sound. not too loud but not too quiet
Hi Brian which years car do you have?
I had the 4" on my 09 sti and have the 5" on my 2015 sti. Hard for me to tell the difference but my wife says the "new one' is no where near as loud. I have a friend that has the deletes and that thing screams, but he says it's almost too much as a daily driver. They all sound really good imo and the quality is superb.
I just ordered my Nameless this afternoon, luckily for me the one I liked the best was also the one that I ordered.
What did you go with??
+brian kucera, I went with the CBE, 5" mufflers and 3.5" single wall, staggered tips.

Deletes. If you watch the other video I have the delete and mid pipe now
thinking of going axel back only on my 16 sti. did getting the midpipe really change the exhaust note? looking to grab the 4 inch mufflers, but up in the air over the midpipe. I'm just looking for sound, don't think Ill ever tune it.
I recently bought a nameless axel back for my car but it doesn’t connect to the mid pipe it’s way to short so you know the problem I have a sti like you
Is the 5 inch noticeably quieter than the 4 inch? Any difference in drone as a result of the increased muffling? Thanks in advance!
Really hard to tell. Maybe a bit less drone. I took my 09 sti (with the 4" ex) to Florida from Ohio once, and it really felt too loud and seemed to drone quite a bit at 3k. I haven't taken my 15 sti (wiith 5" ex) on that long a drive, maybe 2 hours tops, and it doesn't seem to drone.
Great comparison, just picked me up an OBXT and I'm wondering which set up had less drone/noise between the 4" and 5" kit? Thanks.

I'm getting my STI soon hopefully, I have few questions if you don't mind:) -(1)- As per Nameless website, 5" muffler is the "Most quit option". Is it still loud enough compared to stock? yet not noisy with no drone? or should I just go with 4" muffler? -(2)- Does Single vs Double wall make a difference in the sound? -(3)- And finally, what is the tip size for the stock STI exhaust? 3, 3.5 or 4 inches? they look good as is, but would look nicer a tick higher ;)Thanks
5 inch is definitely louder than stock. I think the 4 inch is a solid choice if you're gonna pay the money though for aftermarket exhaust. Not too sure about the single vs double wall .... Double looks a lot better!! Stock is 3" I believe. 4 inch tips fill the space amazing!!!

I believe these are all axle back, if it had the mid pipe it shows (not sure if it’s this video or the next one )

Quick question, sounds retatded but might of well ask, can i run the exuast deletes, aka axle back only, or do I have to get the full exuast, all the way from the cat???
You can run deletes alone :)

+Andrew Springer muffler makes your exhaust quite im talking about would it be different if it would be run from the turbo and not the vat all the way
+Albaro Mayen I don't understand the question. are you asking if the sound of the exhaust changes when going with a full turbo back exhaust? if that's the question than the answer is yes. but there is more to it like the catalytic converter. if you go with a cat delete it will be much louder than if you went with a high flow cat

Had the 5inch with double wall tips and couldn't take it after a week of driving. The drone with the Sti was unbearable.
Really? It droned with the 5 inch mufflers? The muffler delete must be unbearable then
