Really great fixes, but for what we pay for the Lishi's I don't like the idea of tweaking it. It's not a cheap tool, so I really hope they take care of this. I love using my Lishi's.

The company doesn’t like it either but once they were aware of problem they asked me to make this video so they aren’t running from it or anything.

I'm still picking at least one lock a week so I don't lose my picking skills but I love the Lishi's. I actually picked a challenge lock with one lol

lol sounds almost like cheating. (i've done it too lmao)

@@BoredLockpicker I don't look at it as cheating. An open is an open in my book! Even the Lishi's you still have to understand how the lock works to use them. Same goes with bypassing. Put those tools in someone's hands that doesn't know anything and they would be no good 🤷‍♀️

That's good to know thanks for letting us know about that small defect and how to remedy it👍

Well since lishi asked you to make a video demonstrating a fix I think it would be much more helpful to have caliber readings of the tool before the fix then after the fix so those of us that don’t have locks laying around can file down to the caliber readings that are precise to fix the tool or better yet lishi could offer to fix or replace the defective tools they sold for free like a call back but either way do you think you could give me the caliber readings of your fixed tool so I can perform a fix on mine. Thanks for the videos.

Take it up with them. I no longer communicate all with them

My problem with this Lishi pick is the lifter as you call it is too flimsy when I compare it with my SC4 Lishi. I'm going to buy an SC4 lifter and install it on the S123/C123 pick for a stronger lifter.

Let me know if it fits. I’m curious

@@BoredLockpicker I was just comparing the two of them today. The SC4 seems to be shorter in length of the S123/C123 Lishi. I bought my friend one online but his does S123/C123/C145 but doesn't have the front shaped diamond thing for the control key. Both our picks say Original Lishi.

FWIW...Machinist here, the quickest way to dull a good file is to apply pressure across it in the non-cutting direction.

What is different between kw1 and sc1 ?
Also what if the pins of lock was must picking for up not for down ?

    • @BoredLockpicker
      @BoredLockpicker  3 роки тому +1

different keys and it doesnt matter what side the pins are on

@Bored Lock picker The turning handle is reversible by loosing the tiny allen bolt. In some real world use cases , you need a lefty or "-L" model of Lishi tool. Eg instances where clearance to see the decoder pane are not handy to do. Doors at the end of a tight hallways in a chunky frame etc

Crikey, first their pick for American Locks and now this. Sounds like Lishi are a bit sloppy.

they're still amazing tools. I'm guessing they just didnt have this kind of tailpiece when they designed it.

@@BoredLockpicker You'd think they would have compared against the length of the standard key blade.
