  • In this video, I demonstrate how I safely cut small pieces of wood with my miter saw without risking injuring my fingers! Cutting small pieces of wood can be very tricky and if you are not careful it can end up badly! When you need to cut small pieces of wood with a miter saw, you need to take certain measures you can not just go for it as you would with a longer piece of wood. Watch this short video to see how to cut small pieces of wood with a miter saw safely and keep all your fingers intact:) I use two methods and I favor one over the other. Let me know in the comments below which one is your favorite!

Sometimes it’s the little things that really matter 😊. Do you have a workshop? If so, would love to see your tool collection 😉

Excellent! Just what I was trying to figure out. I have a small piece that I need to cut in two for handles; way too dangerous without a good technique. I was cutting a small piece earlier this week and didn't realise there was a loose knot on my side of the blade - flew off the blade 100 mph at my left shoulder - never saw it coming; could just as easily have been my face! I think the double-sided tape looks like the best option. Thanks!

Great tips. Thanks. Would a strip of rubber work instead of tape?
