Your a better person than I am, I would have not accepted delivery and told the dealer to fix it under warranty.
I would have but it would have just hindered my plans. You know they would have had it for a month 😂

I love everything you do and everything that your about. Sadly I don't think I can use any of your improvements at least until the 5 year warranty is up. (Here in Canada, they include it free of charge with a handful of options that also come standard.) I've subscribed, and will tell all my CF Motoheads about your channel. I’ve got the same machine, (2023 without the handbrake)
My major issue isn’t being able to put the machine in or out of park when not on flat ground, but when I go to takeoff facing uphill, you can’t hold the brake and accelerate at the same time, as the computer won’t let both functions happen simultaneously.
Not much fun if you have to stop and then start again on a sketchy uphill section.
I disconnected the brake signal wiring, which allowed me to hold the brake and accelerate to take off without rolling back, but it ended up with a fault code due to disconnection.
I’m looking into changing out the rear brake calliper assemblies and fitting a proper handbrake from the 2024.
I’ll be going over all of those issues this week. To do a regular ebrake it is going to cost 1000 dollars or so.

I had the ebrake installed with the new calipers by my dealer after the new CFMOTO bulletin came out. Pedal is horrible, not even safe. I’ve read 100’s of comments of people having the same problem on many different platforms . I’m ready to go back to not having one. Would be a great diag for a future video @R.N.GPerformance

@@R.N.GPerformance i love mine as well only thing I wished is they’d make some high clearance front a arms for the gen1 trail models so I could fit 30’s without having to cut the front end up lol 😂 I’ve been sending it with 28’s tho 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻

It can but it will be about 1000$ for it I’ve already priced it out. . I wanted to do something simple and affordable for the people buddy.

My dealer is selling me 2023 cfmoto 800 trail and says it’s a d2 model but I’m confused because it has the parking brake lever and all the videos I’ve seen show that model not having the parking brake and I can’t find anything online about the difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have made two of these for different SxS's over the years and with the Polaris having the brake pressure switch this put undue stress on it and it failed on me as I would put it in my toy hauler and apply the parking brake, anyway I had to short some wires to start it for a couple of rides. Not sure if the CF has this type of switch.
It does. But shouldn’t hurt it any.

Seems like a safety issue that should be recalled. Do these still have the weak parking pawl that likes to break off? The gen 1 had issues with it and could send one unintentionally down the hill if you didnt know better.

I've got a gen 1 950 hand brake failed rolled down the hill hit a tree broke stuff so I installed a line lock and love it push the button press the petal and its on then just push the button again and its off. never paid much attention but if the pedal is down are the brake lights on?
Brake lights aren’t on. Line locks shouldn’t be left on like that. Those are only supposed to be engaged for long periods of time.
Posted about the line lock as well then scrolled down to see this. It is how I would do it as well. Not much more money, is in stock and keeps foot well clear of entanglement points.
Just curious????? Is the shop busy or are you basically working on your own rides and making videos,,,and that is a good quickie mickie mouse fix ,,,,but i am pretty sure that park feature would be getting fixed by a dealer under warranty,,simple linkage adjust or a major transmission problem,,but hey its a nice looking bandaid on a cut off finger lol,,keep up the work my friend,,and keep making content

Great video! The notching idea works but it’s worth mentioning that similar kits on the market come with a plate that bolts to the side of the brake pedal arm. The red hook catches on that plate, thereby eliminating the need to grind a notch in your pedal arm.
But you have to drill 2 holes in the side of the pedal witch actually weakening it more then a little notch. I seen that kit. And it’s 20$ more than mine. 2 holes in the pedal for 20$ more. Or no holes and a very slight notch for 20$ less.

Called my dealer here in Tucson and they said they never heard of it as a recall type thing, but a friend in MN had it dun @ local Dealer for free ,new rear calipers and everything, we have the same machine 2023 Cfmoto zforce 950 sport.

Springbrakethingy has essentially the same kit at the same price, but theirs uses both throttle bolts, no drilling the plastic.

I think CFMoto should recall the ones with out a parking brake!! big time safety issue. I don't like that you weaken the brake pedal structure by cutting a notch into it.
They definitely should. Putting that small notch isn’t going to hurt that thing at all. Allot of material there.
KRX4 has no park. it does have E-Brake

No parking brake? That’s the dumbest thing I ever heard. So thankful I have the 22’ 950 HO Sport. They have a great parking brake.
Yep I agree. But CFMOTO did a recall and is now installing E-Brakes for free.
It's probably because of the rear brake failure that CFMOTO blames on the parking brake being engaged while driving. I've had failures on both rear and they denied it under warranty stating the parking brake was engaged. Upon taking the calipers apart the inner seal was not melted. Replaced the seals and it still leaks. I'm starting to think CFMOTO is poor quality and I should have stayed with Kawasaki.
