The small access panel under the passenger seat will give you easy access to the 2 lock nuts (19mm) you need to loosen to adjust the linkage. My 2024 gen2 950 Trail would sometimes pop out of low when I let off the gas and grind the gears. The same thing would also happen in "P". If I parked on a slight grade, my SXS would sometimes roll, making a clicking sound. To fix the problem, I turned the nut towards the rear of my SXS "1" full turn counter clockwise (left) and tightened the lock nut on the right...No more grinding or rolling in "P"!! This problem didn't happen on every ride, but it did happen enough to cause a BIG problem down the road! 10 minute job!!

I hear you! Our dealership had the battery hold down bracket upside down! They could not figure out why the seat wouldn't latch!! Yes yes yes check out everything you can on them before delivery! Save yourselves!
Buddy took his Xl to Johnny K and they had it for a month. They told him 4 to 5 days. When we bought our RZR we shopped around, we could have bought local, but 30 minutes away, Honda East doesn't charge freight or prep. That's where we bought our RZR. Nowadays, any bit savings help, I know try to buy local. But.... We did find a few dealers that don't charge those fees. Price was all same, just no added fees
My man RNG is ALWAYS speaking the truth. I also found a nut that was COMPLETELY loose on the lower portion of my suspension. Had like 2 threads left before the nut was going to disappear forever. After that i went over the entire machine with a paint marker and marked every single bolt i couldnt find. So far it was a one off but never again! RNG, keep doing you bro. Ive heard quite a lot about bad tunes coming from a company that shall not be named. Actually causing perfectly goodachines to have blown motors due to condtant over reving because the tunes cause them to rev to 8k RPMs anytime you touch the throttle and youve tried to warn people in multiple places about the tune being inheriently bad to the machine. Thank you bro. I almost got suckered into getting the tune myself. NOPE

That dealership treated me well. I did not have that issue from the G2 I purchased from them in May of 23. I just called them about the parking brake recall on Thursday and they are getting parts ordered for me. Hopefully I don't have any issues after they are finished with that install. I think I trust them more than the other Canton option for working on my machine sadly and I have spent alot of money up there on Hondas.
I agree. They are a good dealer. Mine is also going in on the ebrake. And yes I definitely agree the other canton option has went do far down hill it isn’t even funny.
MY 2023 800 Trail had shifter issues the day i tried picking it up like in the video. The dealer said they wouldn't adjust the linkage till I brought it in for the first service after break-in. I emailed them about adjusting the linkage a few times eventually they said they would after 50-70 miles . I just recently got it back with 19 miles on it from the dealer installing the ebrake kit which they told me it took them 9 hours to do and they hope it helps my shifter issues. they of course didn't adjust it while they had it, which is very annoying. my warranty ran out in March and It's got 20 miles on it now so I guess I'll adust it myself thanks for the video!
I didn't see you test it on any incline in this video. LOL ( test run when done ) I know your the man and I had to eat crow on the start up on the 950.
The 4 way lock on ours the plastic gear for that keeps breaking, do u have a video for that of how to put it back in so the dealer doesn’t have it for almost a month ?
My dealer i'd be lucky to get back in 3 months. That's why I never go there if something breaks I'll fixes it myself even though it's under warranty. Unless obviously if it's something major like the engine blowing up.
You would think there is quality control at the factory when they're built to make sure the shifter works. It goes into park and the other thing is to have these clutches properly tuned so they're smooth.
Hey r n g I like the video and I like knowing that if I need to adjust something on the new 950 sport that I can turn to your video's and learn what to do ! My problem is the lack of information that is out for the audio kit stage 1 ! When will cf moto have cameras available for the unit or are there compatible camera's that can be used with it ?
First things I do is one of our clutch kits and I change out the stock air filter. And go over the whole machine tightening bolts and greasing fitting. Www.rngperformance.net
So I just bought a 950 sport gen 2. Mine goes into park ok, but tends to slip out of low gear. How do I fix that. It seems to barely catch low gear. Thanks.
I think mine does the same. If I don’t pull the shifter fully towards the rear of the shift slot, it will slip out of low and make a grinding sound. Is that what yours does?
Mine did that exact same thing twice when I bought it.... from what I gathered (it came like this from the dealership). The linkage was set in such a way that the lever would only click /engage into low at the very back end of that low gear slot. And that plastic slot is quite wide physically. So under driving conditions, the lever itself would wiggle forward and, as a result, seemed to cause slack in the cable, and the link would pop out of gear. I ended up adjusting mine, such that when shifting into low, the lever would engage into low closer to the front of that low gear slot. That way, there is little to no freeplay forward on the lever itself. Has not popped out since doing this.
When i adjusted mine in the past i did it by accessing the nuts underneath the passenger seat access panel. Both sets of nuts obviously achieve the same result?
The small access panel under the passinger seat gives easy access to the lock nuts. One turn counter clockwise did the trick. No more popping out of low when taking your foot off the gas and Park is holding.
I tried this on my sport 4-the nut farthest from the engine loosens the cable from the bracket but the other nut is attached to the rubber boot and does not seem to be adjustable. Please explain. These are not like other Utv shift cables with a shaft that rotates or 2 nuts piggybacked that lock each other together
I literally just got a new cforce 500 2024. I like it but it can be almost impossible to shift in reverse on hills or if you get it in reverse on hill to put it back into low gear. I noticed when I have the atv in low gear or high and I am sitting still going up a hill there is a slight squealing sound. Is this normal? Thank you.
Mine Has a bit of trouble going into Low. I have to bring the shifter all the way to the bottom then swing it over and then back up a bit for it to catch in Low. Otherwise, it shows Low but it's not in gear at all. Same adjustment?
Hello, quick question. I have a 2022 zforce 800ex which I bought new. Lend it to a guy I know with only (130 miles) I got it back with 170 miles with a burnt belt, clutch and other things(abused of course, never lend your stuff) dealership fixed it and when I got it back the button on the shifter wasn't needed to be able to shift thru the gears. The dealership replaced that as well and now it is extremely hard (you need both hands to be able to shift it) it's now got about 230 miles and I have another machine(exactly the same except in a different color) and that one shifts just fine. What do you think I should do. Dealership is tired of me, I can tell.
How about using a pointing device to show what you're talking about, maybe put an arrow on the screen for reference and stop trashing dealerships near you or you'll get mistreated a lot more than you want to
Dude I like your videos but I don't think it's cool to smash your dealer on loose bolts some young kid probably put that thing together. Anyone could miss that bro. And you're putting a lot of videos out that are all the same bring us some good content or I'm on subscribing.
I didn’t smash anyone. By all means please do. If you can’t comprehend that we pay these dealers good money to do a job they can not do then I am sorry. Why pay them for a job if they are not going to complete the job? I don’t care how young or old you are if you can not do a job properly you do not belong on said job. Anyone can miss it? How come I didn’t miss it? How come every machine I buy I have to do exactly what I paid the dealer to do? I am me. What you see is what you get. I am not changing for you or anyone. I’m as honest as they come. You also must have missed me say that they are by far my favorite dealer here?
I just bought a CF Moto 950 sport Gen 2 I don't have a problem with it going in park but what I noticed is if you don't make sure the levers all the way back in low it'll start clicking when you take your foot off the gas as if it's not all the way in low gear
My 2024 CF Moto ZForce 950 Trail every once in a while clicks when I let off the gas in low and it also clicks every once in a while and rolls in park. I can't get a wrench on the lock nut furthest away to adjust it? Off to the dealer...
Would you recommend maxima sxs transmission oil for a 2022 cfmoto 800xc.. im trying to make sure I'm getting all the correct fluids ordered to have ready when I need them for my new machine.
