Definitely recommend to keep doing picks with her. Very knowledgeable and not just pushing product. great deal on those 2 bottles, pass on that $109 Blanton's. lot of great bottles in there. Penelope Architect delicious, Russell's Reserve Single Barrel delicious, Blue Note Juke Joint Uncut and unfiltered great bottle even better if you got a store pick (assumes good team member went and sampled/picked). keep it up

Wow - That girl's recommendations are top notch. I can't fault her or any of her suggestions. That's a well stocked bourbon section for a whiskey store. A lot of popular retail liquor stores can't come close to the amount of Buffalo Trace products that store has.

That young lady recommended some awesome bottles. The fact that she picked the Penelope Toasted over the Buffalo Trace and the Blue Note shows she obviously knows what she's talking about. You should try 13th Colony bourbon out of Georgia. It's sitting on the shelf right under the Evan Williams 1783. Great pour for the price.
She is good at what she does . Great person with a awesome attitude
3 good ones, but she never mentioned ECBP, Wild Turkey Rare Breed, Maker's 46 cask or regular, Old Foerster 100, 1910 or 1920. Michter's anyone? Wilderness Trail BiB?

Enjoyed your visit to this store. I think that would be a very good subject to continue on your channel, visiting new stores and showing what they have, it’s very interesting. I’ve never been in a store that had so much Buffalo Trace. It’s a favorite and hard to beat for the price. I also recommend Ezra Brooks 99 proof. Have a good day my friend!

Wild Turkey Rare Breed is one I couldn`t pass up on even in that fantastic store, it`s the very best `bang-for-your-buck` bottle anywhere. As you`re a scotch drinker seek out a Bunnahabhain 12 cast strength 2022 as it does the same as the Rare Breed....punches way above it`s weight in flavour & quality for the price. Nice vid mate, wish we had such stores for bourbon here in the UK!

you nailed it!! Rare Breed and Red Breast make me smile :) my favorite is still Knob Creek single barrel. but it use to be $40 but not runs like $60 but it hangs with most cast strength at 120 proof.
I have the Penelope Architect Build 2 and the Barrel Strength. Love them both.

Been to 5 liquor stores in Florida. Still can't find Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, or Blantons. Got Larceny, Four Roses, and Elijah Craig, Wild Turkey, and basically all the usual suspects.
I was told BT is very hard to find. Keep looking, that’s the fun part 💯
The Penelope Rose cast is pretty good, and the architect as well I also was not a rye lover until I tried 13th colony Rye & man that’s the only rye I drink.

You have a one channel audio issue. The right channel is the only one that is working. Most video editing programs will allow you to duplicate the audio from one channel to the other. Some mic's only record one channel.

the toasted was great. it has a bit to it. I wouldn't recommend sniffing it a lot, it has a weird strong smell. but the finish is good. I like higher proof bourbons . My everyday sipper is Evan Williams BIB, the best bottle of bourbon for under 20.00

Hard to get customer service like that these days. I never had Old Tub but I be heard good things. My favorite $20 bourbons are Turkey 101, Jim Beam Black and Evan Williams 1783. I hear Early Times BIB is a great one too but can’t get it in MN. Can’t get the Taylor, Trace or Eagle Rare either. My recommendation for something new…Jack Daniels Single Barrel Select. $47 in my area. My new favorite.

There's a big misconception on rye's. Everybody thinks rye's are "hot" and have a burn going down. This is not true. Rye's can have citrus notes, some floral notes, and baking spice notes. There a lot of rye's that have a strong caramel sweetness notes. But definitely not a hot or a burn to them.

109 for Blanton's? It's barely worth the 65 retail. I bought my first Blanton's in 2001 for 39, which was a fair price at that time. It's good, but it's become so over-hyped, which is a shame. I used to buy Eagle Rare for 20 back in 2010 or so. This bourbon boom has really made things crazy. She did have some good recommendations. I'm not an Old Tub fan because it's just a peanut bomb.

You missed out big time on a couple I saw there on the shelf!!! Get yourself some Russell’s Reserve Single Barrel. It’s amazingly sweet, flavorful and drinkable. Also, the New Riff Single Barrel. That’s a flavor beast. You won’t regret those two.

Blantons for over 100 is a joke. Unless it’s the gold or straight from the barrel. And for Penelope the toasted or the 9 year are fantastic. The barrel strength is great and the architect is good.

Try ALL the Bottled in Bond bourbons you can find. There are some GOOD bourbons for not a ton of money out there.

There’s a lot of great bourbons out there but like I say to people just because they are expensive doesn’t mean they’re good . Some of the best tasting bourbons to me were in the 30 to 50 dollar range .
Try Bernheim its inexpensive and to me tastes good .

Fantastic find, that is a nice store. Where is it located? Buffalo Trace products are getting easier to find. They doubled their production 4 years ago and everything under 4 years is showing up in much greater numbers and staying for days.

look out for coopers craft and rittenhouse rye single barrel. both can be got for around $30 and are phenomenal.

Just make sure it is the Cooper's Craft Reserve 100 proof. Especially if you like the Brown Forman/Old Forester profile.

@@bourbonlover Pretty sure Thirteenth Colony Southern Bourbon is MGP's 21% rye mashbill. I am a big fan of that mashbill and have a variety of (usually cask strength) 5-7-yr old store picks using it. Last month I happened to sample a delicious Boone County store pick at 111 proof that was MGP 21% rye, and the next night sampled Thirteenth Colony Southern Bourbon at 95 proof and they definitely tasted like siblings.
Hearing a lot about that 13 colony. Definitely going to see what that is all about. Thanks

Wait, all Bulleit bourbons are 'high ryes' which you said you drank forever? And scotch drinkers aren't generally sensitive too ryes.
Let me correct myself , I generally don't drink Rye , but I will drink on ice. I found out that some ryes are not to bad. Trying to branch out and explore .
