Little old lady passed away January 2018!!!! She was 105. I couldn’t believe that when I looked up the cast. Mr. Andre committed suicide that was sad to hear.
This scene was on a rental VHS I got years ago, I always remembered the way he shouted 'Little old lady' and I never saw it again on every version I bought/saw since! Until now! Thanks - I thought I was going crazy!
itsconnorstime I watched the video because I heard the song on peaky blinders lol..i knew I heard it before and it took me a minute to realize where..as far as extended scene this part was in all the dumb and dumber versions I have watched..
Yes! I laugh at the end of almost each episode of Peaky Blinders. My wife asked why I'm always laughing at the end of each episode. So I told her that Red Right Hand is in Dumb and Dumber... she just rolled her eyes.
On cable/TV, sure, perhaps, but it wasn't in the theatrical cut nor VHS/DVD (certainly for Region 1). When movies made it to TV cuts they usually filled in larger edits with some additional cut scenes. So they probably cut out Jim Carrey pulling out the chefs heart but added in extra scenes like this.
Maybe there is an even more extended scene where he asks some guy to watch his hat while he tries to track down that sweet old lady on a motorized cart, and of course gets that stolen too.
This actually makes the scene make soooooo much more sense. I'm really surprised that they didn't add it to the North American DVDs/blurays. And speaking of deleted scenes from Jim Carrey movies, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective has a couple of deleted scenes that so far have yet to show up on DVD/bluray, but they DO show up when aired on TV. There's a scene in a bar when he's trying to find Ray Finkle's house, and the guys in the bar want to fight him, so they start breaking beer bottles, and he says "you want to play with glass..." pulls out a contact lens, breaks half of it off on the bar, and threatens them with it. The other scene is when he's at the heavy metal club, and he gets up on stage with the band and starts growling, then finishing off with the best line of the entire movie: "I gotta go now guys, I've got a date with your mothers!"
rockerseven I'm in Australia and years and years ago when I was little we taped this off tv onto vhs. This was how the scene went in our version. I remember watching it when I got older and the shortened scene was in it and I was like wtf did I imagine him saying little old lady?
Thanks for uploading this scene. When this film is shown on TV in the UK, sometimes this extended scene is kept in. Shame it isn't on the Unrated and Uncut version for Region 2; if the film is meant to be uncut, then there should be no shortened scenes.
Yeah, I do agree that it does run on too long, and I agree with the cut for the final movie, but I was sure happy to see more Dumb and Dumber 10+ years later.
Joe Tummey I know what u r talking about as I watched that exact scene on itv and I tried to see it again on either DVD or even tv. When they showed this on UA-cam thank the person whom put it on there.
Australian region 4 DVD, huh? Well, my suggestion is that since it's been 20 years since it came out, they should add it and any other deleted scene and never before seen footages in with a 20th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray or DVD. Anyone up for that? Say "aye!"
Yes, I'm here because I love this movie and I'm just now watching Peaky Blinders for the first time and can't take it too serious because of this song.
It is completely unnecessary. From the expression on her face you suspect as much anyway. His entrance back at the apartment is that much more funny in that you learn for sure what happened just as Harry does.
I can't remember back to actually watching the movie in theaters... but every DVD releases in the US has been without this scene. I'm not totally sure about VHS tapes, but yeah, it sucks that we've lost out on some scenes... although, if I were to make my "edit" of the film, I think I would have it as the cut I know, with Lloyd saying "Don't you go dying on me!" and walking off, then smash cut to him opening the door and slamming it, like it the American DVD release.
look it up, it may not be on region 1, but this video proved it's on region 4 and it's probably also on region 2 as i remeber the whole thing very clearly, so it doesn not make it an extended scene, it just means that whoever was watching the region 1 dvds missed out on a hell of a treat.
I still say little ol lady when i see one driving slow on the road or something. Can't believe they cut this scene out of the modern release!!! WTF!!!!
I used to think he just left the stuff there with the old lady and never came back to get his stuff. Now I know he actually got robbed by a Sweet old lady on a motorized cart
Why did they cut off the part where the lady's gone? I've seen this movie at least 50 times & ONCE I've seen it on TV with this scene extended... Greatest movie ever!
@borniakia As stated in the video description, "This [full] scene is not in the Unrated and Uncut recent DVD release." Lloyd does not come back to the sidewalk and yell "Little Old Lady?". He just says "Don't you go dying on me!", then its straight to him opening and slamming the door shut in his apartment.
Either read the other messages, or the info of the movie and you'll see that this is an extended scene, because it is not on an of the Region 1 DVD's that have come out for this movie.
Actually, I thought the exact same thing :-p But yeah, after reading about this scene for years but not actually seeing it, I was starting to call BS. Nice to see someone uploaded it! But apparently I was over 6 years late :-p
@SRussellN i can't remember exactly what dvd it was but my dad bought it in 2004 and i can remember this scene clearly and its still one of my favorites from the movie. so yea,
The whole scene was in the cinema movie when I saw it in 1994 in Denmark, when I bought vhs the whole scene was missing, when I bought dvd extended and iTunes, it cuts back to the flat, after he leaves the old lady. We all know they make cuts, F, T words on tv movie before 9pm, but this cut makes no sense. Thankfully I have a tv version where the whole old lady scene is in
Just managed to order this DVD from Australia and soon I will have all 3 cuts of the movie. I think that the unrated version is the best one. Yeah, there are some crap parts, but I think that the positives outweigh the negatives. For me, the unrated has the next-funniest part of the movie after "He's got a gun!": When they pick up the Mexican hitchhiking family and they sing Mockingbird in Spanish. I couldn't live without Mental's expression like he's taking a dump as as he reaches for his gun.
I had this on video in the 90s and after buying the DVD in 2010s, I thought I had imagined this scene as it does not feature on the DVD! Anyone know the reason for it not featuring? The scene makes much more sense with it featuring. (UK fan)
The only part that was deleted is where he comes back looking for her. Normally it just goes from "Don't you go dying on me" to him coming back in the apartment.
How are you people so thick? I've stated over and over again, that I imported the DVD from Australia because none of the USA DVD's contain this clip. It is also not shown on TV when the movie is on. The only time this scene has aired in the US was in the movie theater back in 1995.
@DaMoose85 I only suggest the Unrated Edition if you are a Dumb and Dumber fanatic and need to know everything about it. The actual movie cut together for the Unrated Edition is terrible in the way that the character development that you are used to is completely changed and you really stop caring for Lloyd and see him more as a crazy person stalking Mary.
oh man. first time i saw this seen i couldnt stop laughing. i think they showed this scene in the tv version but im not sure...dont you go dying on me! best line ever
I don't understand why they didn't put this in the dvd version. On my old vhs version I have this in and I love it. Is this scene in the blu-ray version(europe)?
Hah! I've been watching this movie with my family since I was little, and I always thought he was just getting a newspaper, I didn't realize it was a porn mag!
The true uncut version is 3 hours and 40 mins long and sucked the directors showed the film to their friends and they saud it sucked so they cut it down to whatever it is now and it was gold.
Little old lady passed away January 2018!!!! She was 105. I couldn’t believe that when I looked up the cast. Mr. Andre committed suicide that was sad to hear.
Chuck Adams hahaha she took that literally they made dumb and dumber 2 and she still didn’t die
That's terrible I hope she's in a better place now.
@life Yeah Robin William's is a perfect example of that.
This scene was on a rental VHS I got years ago, I always remembered the way he shouted 'Little old lady' and I never saw it again on every version I bought/saw since! Until now! Thanks - I thought I was going crazy!
Same here.
I've never seen this added scene before at all, but I always wondered why he never comes back with his hat.
That 10 gallon hat gets me everytime!
Now I'm going to laugh whenever I watch peaky blinders.
itsconnorstime I watched the video because I heard the song on peaky blinders lol..i knew I heard it before and it took me a minute to realize where..as far as extended scene this part was in all the dumb and dumber versions I have watched..
Yes! I laugh at the end of almost each episode of Peaky Blinders. My wife asked why I'm always laughing at the end of each episode. So I told her that Red Right Hand is in Dumb and Dumber... she just rolled her eyes.
Someone blew it on Peaky Blinders staff by choosing this song!
"Don't you go dying on me" LOLLLLL Since 1994 never forgot that line....Claaaassic!!!
brbr28 and she took that literally the lady died until just last year
Watched the movie 500 times, never seen that scene before . Nice.
Rest in peace "Connie Sawyer" the little old lady 105 years old impressive she was so strong.
When I hear the "red right hand" part I keep expecting the crack of a whip.
Especially when watching Peaky Blinders
disobey160 Who?
0:28
They played this song in the first scream movie
Crazy, never even knew this was an extended scene. Here in Canada this scene was always added. Like watching on cable as a kid.
Wow, I'm in New Zealand and I've only ever seen it with the extended part. I think it hits much better with the full scene intact.
I'll always remember this scene because growing up that was the version I watched
This is easily the funniest movie ever.
Why? Because it NEVER gets old.
EVERY time I watch it I laugh at the whole thing.
Exactly. That is why I posted it here. So people, like me in Region 1, can see this extended scene.
"wheres the booze?" yep thats me during this quarantine
my favorite scene in the movie, by far, the music is just great
Maybe there is an even more extended scene where he asks some guy to watch his hat while he tries to track down that sweet old lady on a motorized cart, and of course gets that stolen too.
On the 95 DVD release, the UK DVD release and the "uncut" DVD release, the part that Llyod comes back with change is not in there.

So glad I'm not the only one whos mind goes straight here when hearing Peaky Blinders.
the part where he comes back around the corner, and says "little ol lady!?!", that is the added part..
Australian region 4 DVD, huh? Well, my suggestion is that since it's been 20 years since it came out, they should add it and any other deleted scene and never before seen footages in with a 20th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray or DVD. Anyone up for that? Say "aye!"
Oi
that explains why when i watched this movie on netflix this scene felt off, i grew up watching the movie with the extended part as part of it
Jesus this clip is from 14 years. i feel old.
This was actually shown in the Dutch subbed VHS I've had for years. =D
Yes, I'm here because I love this movie and I'm just now watching Peaky Blinders for the first time and can't take it too serious because of this song.
On ALL of the US DVD releases, we have NOT had this scene. It rarely makes the TV version, therefore, an extended cut.
I've never seen a version without this scene in the u.s.
"and i didn't even see it coming" (and the way he says it,) is my favourite line ever from a film! hilarious.
this scene is hilarious! why didn't they just put it in the uncut version? it makes more sense with this scene in
yeah
I grew up with this scene as a kid watching it 10 years after the release
It is completely unnecessary. From the expression on her face you suspect as much anyway. His entrance back at the apartment is that much more funny in that you learn for sure what happened just as Harry does.
@@tristramcoffin926 yeah and Harry would have been pissed if he knew what Loyd bought wiht their last few bucks
It's weird this extended scene wasn't included in the Unrated Cut but I understand why it was cut.
I've never seen the movie without this scene. But I've always seen it on TV, not DVD.
Dumb and Dumber should be in the Guinness world record of the most deleted scenes... seriously.
@debzpoet Thanks for the song title. I couldnt find it and a friend said it was not a song included on the actual movie soundtrack for some reason.
i grew up with this scene as the only version we had was a VHS tape recording from ITV in the 90's that had that full scene
look it up, it may not be on region 1, but this video proved it's on region 4 and it's probably also on region 2 as i remeber the whole thing very clearly, so it doesn not make it an extended scene, it just means that whoever was watching the region 1 dvds missed out on a hell of a treat.

My Halloween costume this year...

Someone help me find the alt scene we’re Harry is crying for like 30 seconds cause it was hilarious and now I can’t find it anywhere
It's in the behind the scenes or the making of...
Pretty cringey in my opinion though considering he isnt a comedian
great tune playing in the background too ..Nick Caves 'red righthand ' which I thinks adds to the whole humour of the scene..
Yeah, a song that's meant to be creepy and ominous is used very comically in this scene.
Just managed to order this DVD from Australia and soon I will have all 3 cuts of the movie. I think that the unrated version is the best one. i got robbed by a lil old lady on a motorised cart AND i didnt even see it coming hahahaha

I've only ever known this version of the scene. I like it better.
Shit never gets old man. Lol
i rember seeing this on VHS but was wondering where it was on the dvd .. :S
I love how the hat jiggles while he says 'cripes!'.
At first I thought he was kidding in the original version
I looked this video up because I was watching pesky blunder and knew I had heard the song before somewhere
In the VHS it skips 1:44-2:13. That's all it skips. I just saw it on VHS today again.
0:19-0:25 Me whenever I try to save my money.
Dumb and dumber to sucked.
The original was way better
Hell it didnt even need a sequel
It's gold compared that stupid prequel: Dumb and Dumberer When Harry Met Lloyd
everyone is talking about peaky blinders and I'm over here like THIS IS FUCKING NICK CAVE!
How are you people so thick?
I've stated over and over again, that I imported the DVD from Australia because none of the USA DVD's contain this clip. It is also not shown on TV when the movie is on. The only time this scene has aired in the US was in the movie theater back in 1995.
Does anybody recognize the music from the background?
Red Right Hand - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
KINDLE From this film, SCREAM 4 and the TV series of 'Peaky Blinders' but in a different pitch to this version of the song.
This song was put in the movie by order of the peaky blinders
I don't believe 'she' took it. I think she drove off and a couple of thugs took it.
Couldn't agree more with that. Biggest mistake I made watching the Unrated edition.
I liked the original cut better, it brought more question as to what actually happened, adding to the humor of the situation.
The huge foam cowboy hat, the pinwheel, the porn, Nick Cave playing in the background...this scene is one of the best.
"I didn't even see it comin!!"
What's different from the regular version? I have it on VHS and this scene is included on it.
This scene should be part of the movie because it’s not good without it
This isn't the original cut ? I've always seen the movie with that part in it... and I don't have the Unrated Edition
Harry is right. There's not a single job in this town. I can't find anything here either & I live in Raleigh.
I know only this version. What is the other version I have no clue.....?
Oops, forgot to mention the paddleball, lol.
they never showed him coming back to find that she actually did rob him on the vhs
I don't understand why they didn't put this in the dvd version. On my old vhs version I have this in and I love it. Is this scene in the blu-ray version(europe)?
he has a chip but has a veneer or something to cover it. he took it off to look even goofier in the movie
Red Right Hand - Brilliant song!
Wonder why they sped the song up?
The German VHS had this szene.
+Alexis Held The dutch also, but only on videotape vhs.
it was also seen in cinema in germany. Pay TV airs the cinema versions so the movie included this scene on Sky/Premiere.
oh wow...really.....I saw Nick Cave in Grinderman open for the White Stripes at MSG in 07'
can see why they delted this
Notice @ 1:55...
The old lady took all the magazines for some reason...
the wallet disappears
Hah! I've been watching this movie with my family since I was little, and I always thought he was just getting a newspaper, I didn't realize it was a porn mag!
Is it sped up? the song seems to be at a higher tone than usual
The true uncut version is 3 hours and 40 mins long and sucked the directors showed the film to their friends and they saud it sucked so they cut it down to whatever it is now and it was gold.
Did that old lady really steal all that beer
She had that cart basket... 😆
Yep, that's the way it's always been in Australia
do any of you youtubers know the name of the song and who its by
Damn is there a even media in which they don't use this song? 😂
why the hell they cut the small imp part of that scene?
Who the hell could dislike this?? Classic Jim Carrey, funniest movie ever!!
lol @ 2:16 the way lloyd falls on the floor
took his wallet too 😂😂😂
I didnt even see it coming!
