If this is the 02 model, what is the one that they made that’s the same size as the Seiko SLX 013 (38mm)? Would that be the ISL 01?

I bought the white dial (ISL-10) a few weeks back. After spending some time with the watch I can say that all of your comments are spot on. I own many watches, both more and less expensive, and can honestly say this one became an instant favorite. This watch is indeed tremendous value for the price ... My advice to anyone considering purchasing this time piece is do not hesitate ... buy one and see for yourself, it's almost unbelievable. Everything about the experience was great. Not only the fit and finish but the company itself is great. Customer service is top notch. Great video, keep up the good work.

Brilliant business idea. His best seller is discontinued and will eventually be gone. What does he do? Create an improved version. Love it. I have the first iteration he ever did and the latest blue dial with the sapphire bezel. Quality control has come a long way since that first release and only going to get better. Great review

You mean Safire crystal and ceramic Bezel. This idea was a no brainer and many don’t follow through with ideas that are obvious. Always when going into business to put the ones doing the same and the best, to use them as mark to surpass and improve on their weakness. That’s business basic 101. Like if there a park or beach with no restaurants or just a hot dog stand, then open a restaurant or a diner and everyone hungry will need to come to your restaurant.
Yeah, Seiko drop the ball on this one and the island is using Seiko movements? That’s kinda like a slap in the face bc since Seiko is a long solid company, they could easily put island out of business and make those improvements and put out a better model of the SKX brand they spent over 20 years marketing and selling a solid product. It must note a bit and like if McDonald spent 70 years making the perfect fast food burger and up let someone new come and take their concept and make it better and take customers away from them. In history ppl. have worked at big companies to learn as much as they could and take their experience and start their own and make better. That takes more being sneaky and hide your intentions while getting paid by those companies while you plot to do better than the company you work for. It happens all the time.

That is really nice, and a really good value if you look at what a new SKX is going for. I might get the 12-hour Bezel Version.
I also like the cushion case diver he recently released with the blasted finish.
Just picked this model up on eBay today. I already have the ISL-09 and it’s pretty good. I’m currently “panic buying” watches...😂

I agree that Mark has a great watch in the Islander line of SKX mods! I’m saving up to get one as we speak! Great review of a wonderful watch!!! If you could include the wrists that these will fit it would be great! My 8 1/2” arthritic wrist can be a problem to get a good fit sometimes.

I dunno, I’m already worried I’ve paid double for my two islanders. I’m gonna be bummed when I know the Heimdallr was the way to go.
An overall better quality piece than the Heimdallr
Can't get better for $299? Sorry I have to disagree. You can get these from a number of different makers, for example Steeldive and Heimdallr with a very similar spec for a lot less money. I accept this has a much better bracelet but that doesn't justify over $100 extra.

The one watch, Spinnaker Fluess that I got from Long Island Watch had a manufacturer defect proving they don't check their stock before shipping. Haven't been back since.

I was really torn. But, i actually use my timing bezel quite often for simple things, while the 24hr bezel always leaves me counting up the hash marks 🤣🤣 But dang they look really awesome!! Cheers Refugio!

From what I’ve read in the comments in all the reviews the biggest complaint is the logo which I happen to love 🤷♂️
I have to admit this is a tremendous value the only issue??? Brand recognition and history which may not matter to many but is obviously lacking with this company /watch. To us watch geeks brand history is kinda of important.
I love seiko but at this point it’s very hard to justify spending 300 bucks to get an original SXK I still have to mod when I could get this instead.
I really wanted to like this watch but I think Mark should have used the case with a helium escape valve that would have made it more unique and different hands , it seems just like a souped-up skx
Helium escape valves are far too overused and cheeky these days. Gimmicky really. But, to each his own...
The whole point of this watch is to offer what the SKX should have been rather than being it’s own thing

I hate mine, hate they way they treated me and got crapped on by them for sending me a new one with complete manufacturing defects cause my old one broke and stopped working and hate the dial still. Great lume but hate how rude they were so much towards me
Especially hate how he's making even posters and trying so hard to OWN the skx it seems like
Rolex homages some say 👎 A skx chinese made case homage, those same say 👍....for me this is horological anti-matter, sorry. A 100% copy of a SKX.
That’s only because a real Rolex is way better in every way than a replica or homage. This watch is better in every way than the original...at the same price
