I love Long Island Watch! I've been a long time follower of Marc's UA-cam channel and have bought several things from his store including 2 Islander watches, ISL-54 and ISL-80. His watches are fantastic, reasonably priced and his customer service is absolutely top notch! Highly recommended! And yes, his first Islander was a response to the popular SKX mod market and has evolved from there.
💯 Truth. I could not be happier with my eemrald 38mm ISL-21, the 38mm Pan Am is next in the list. Marc is the Man when it comes to customer service & he's making original watches that come stock with all of the mods that a watch person would otherwise have to add. Props to LIW 👍

I live in England and l love islander watches. They seem to have everything you need in a watch without spending a fortune. What a pity you can't buy them in the UK 🇬🇧. The only way I could get hold of one is to have a holiday in the US, seems an expensive way to buy the watch. You never know, they might start selling them overseas and include my country. Here's hoping.
Marc is the Man, sticking it to Big Watch with outstanding, pre-modded originals (and now collabs - Got that LE Spinnaker + Islander on the way!) His Islanders cannot be beat. Absolute best value for the money. In fact, I've never been happier to spend my money in $300 chunks. Also, exceptional customer service. I guess you could say I'm just an Island(er) Boy 😂
Each watch video is getting better and better. Also I love that this watch can go “200mm” under water. Puddle diving all day. Sincerely though. Excellent channel.
I bought the "build it with me" watch, which came on an engineer bracelet and it was a beast. I put it on a blue FKM rubber strap and it's gorgeous. It's actually the first watch out of my many that my wife has commented on. He also makes a 38mm pink diver that benefits breast cancer research and it's a beauty. If my daughter or my wife would wear it, I'd get it for them. Nice watches all around.
I am currently sporting my ISL 73 in 38 mm. Mine is a diver (200 m but not ISO certified) and runs with the day/date NH-36. Saphire….120 click bezel…..THAT ALIGNS! And doing business with Mark Frankel is a pleasure. Next watch will be my 3rd. A very nice alternative to Amazon, JomaShop (who, imho, are crooks) etc. Just subbed and good review Sir!
Marc sold and still sells a many brands and developed a sizable business in selling mod parts for the skx watches that watch enthusiasts had been asking for Seiko to do like sapphire crystals, ceramic and 12 hour bezel inserts, etc. When Seiko discontinued the skx, Marc had to think of what to do and not lose that part of his business. And Islander line has been very successful. He is now doing some watches that are not skx style and some with a lot more original design elements.

I have 3 Islanders and I'll definitely buy more. I have quite a few Seiko's but the Islanders feel more robust. I agree that the dial text could have a bit more bling. Thanks for the videos. I enjoy them.
Nice video. First time watching. I subscribed. I like the format. Concise to the point. I especially like descriptions that help me decide if I want to buy a watch, that I might not be able to try on first. IE: case dynamics and design. Strap and bracelet feel. Or crown and bracelet action.

such a cool watch, love the seiko homage aspect. for my money, the best "cheap" batman is the steinhart gmt 500 titanium. last batch just got released on gnomon, then it's secondhand only :/

I held back on the older versions because the movement (7s26 I think) was crap with no hand winding and hacking, and as soon as Mark released the Islander I thought - yes! There is also a version with blue dial and Yacht Master bezel which I am very tempted by.
You really get a good deal with Marc at Longislandwatches, from his own brand or other microbrands as well as big brands. Great seller, can't go wrong with him.
I could probably bet that many of the people that are in the watch modding business are probably hating this company. For what you get at such a affordable price is a bargain and probably a kick in the balls for the competition out there.
Thumb down at this time. Why buying a copy if you can get an original Seiko slim case 2nd hand like the Skx at the same price? If you want it new there is still the Seiko 5 Sport at a much cheaper price and you can swim with it! For Diving you can still buy a Seiko Turtle.
