This is a great video. I love the information you provided while grading. The camera view is perfect. Love the sound of the machinery and scraping.... I have watched multiple times this mornkng.
Thanks for watching and thank you for the kind words!
Thank you for the video, I’m currently building a road and pad in front of my carport and having a hell a time. Will be putting your expertise in action when the next load arrives.
You make it so easy to understand what the heck I should be doing. Thanks Bry, I really appreciate your efforts to help us be better operators.
Thanks for watching Nevada! I hope all is well on your end of the world. It's been awhile!
Thank you for this learning experience!
Anytime my friend!
Can’t thank you enough for this video! Excellent work!
Thanks for the support and for watching, appreciate you brother!
Awesome! Thank you
Great video! Keep them coming
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video. I finally bought my own skidsteer and excavator. Always was stuck on the shovel and rake and then trying get on my own machine. Guys would always jump on it and I didn't get any seat time. These videos help alot.
Happy to help out! Feel free to reach out if you have questions going forward!
@@DieselandIron thanks man
Great video bud!!
Thanks for watching!
Get a 4 in 1 bucket. Open it out. Push a pile. For final cut, roll the bucket watching the spill out the side of the blade. In Australia, it's hard to find a skid steer without a 4 in 1.
Watched again! Great commentary!
Thanks for watching!
@@DieselandIron yes indeed!
@@DieselandIronRewatched, Subscribed, Listened, Learned, Shared, loved it agqin!
@@DieselandIrondidn't realize it took all of this to grade...great example and great video!
very informative indeed! I am going to dig 4-5inch of dirt for my backyard using skid steer. Should I start digging from the highest point of the grade and go all the way to the lowest point or other way. Please advise. Thank you!
Start from your low point and dig into the slope. You'll be able to keep a nice flat grade
Once you get a spot on grade you should dump a bucket of dirt out in front of you if you don’t have enough cut to keep your bucket full. Then load your bucket and place bucket down flat on bottom and grade that way. It’s a world better.
I have a whole video on that technique
Great video no case skid steers in my area. Weather is up and down having door on machine is a must. Visibility is terrible in case with door on machine. Also arms to close cab , impossible to see edges of snow pusher.
Like everything else, you get used to the machine and the little things just become little things.
When working on posi track the similarities experience when different people operated is the controls and basics but when it comes to sit cut or final trim or spreading and cutting materials that's when it comes to personal preference if your a professional this video good for basics
The whole channel is based on teaching new operators. You can find more advanced techniques in other videos on the channel.
@@DieselandIroncan you please forward the link if you have one teaching about making slob level or different countries uses round swale term
Works great if you do not have various sized rocks mixed in
It just takes a little more effort with the big rocks. More back and forth
Probably most important step, get a track machine!!
Life got so much easier when tracks came out.
Wow I always just slowly dropped the stones or dirt etc across the path and then came back and tipped the blade down and flattened it
This is great content and information! Liked and Subscribed!
Thanks for watching Aaron and thanks for the sub!
I always appreciate your videos, but I think most important thing is to work linearly, don’t wanna have to spin around and go back and forth. Also plan out your cuts and fills before you even start. The other thing is if u have a full bucket you can use it same as a dozer and just push all the way through each pass because the material will fall out in holes and then you cut and pick more up on the humps
Excellent advice all the way around. Thanks for sharing these!
agreed, if im doing parking lots i will place pile where i want it then grab a full bucket so i can doze my piles down
Great vid. Just a thought: use a second camera placed down the drive looking back at the loader to show more perspective.
That's a great suggestion. Thanks for watching!
I really Thank you
Just got a machine and haven't had time to figure it all out
Thank you
Also JESUS loves you
Thanks for the comment and Jesus loves you too.
Do you ever see a tilt attachment between the bucket and machine? For side to side slopes?
You mean a Tilt Tach? I 've considered one, but I already have a 6-way dozer blade with a laser mast and receiver, and a slope meter, so it just seemed too redundant. I've always considered buckets for carrying, and blades for spreading/cutting grade.
@@waynevincent5448 I'm grading 95% of my time running a skid a asphalt base. I don't know anyone who's doing my job that don't have a tilt tach on they machine. Suprised? I have a slope meter on my bucket and i can do just about 90% of my sites with just that. I also have a wheeled excator on every site.
I am familiar with the tilt attachment but I've never used one personally. I could see them being super handy for grading slopes and putting crowns into driveway grades.
@@DieselandIron It's like rototilt for skids, I have allways wondered why things are so different across the pond.🙃
Just got a bobcat that came with it. Pretty cool. Never seen or used before
Great video thanks my boss asked me to grade yard for our new lot and I don't know shit
Happy to help! I've got some other grading videos if you search my channel. Good luck brother
Case TR270? I recognize that view...
TV450. Same cab, bigger machine!
So I learned the hard way I was trying to grade with with teeth on my bucket. 😂 it was i first time
It's a great way to fluff the material!
Is it easy to learn the skid steer controls?
If you're doing the new ISO controls, then yeah.
I want one of these to make my driveway longer throughout my yard, and get rid of my lawn
What do you mean by stone ? Looks like dirt
👍👍👍👷👷👷👷
hard to see with the shadow of the skid steer
lol all i see is shadows you're off ya head
Once again you are partially correct, cut your subgrade, clean your edges and lay your rock
Lighting sucks dude. Can't really see what you're doing. But thanks for the effort
So many things wrong here
Ok. Thanks for clearing things up
