3d photos is wildly amazing! So far 2.0 has been great for me honestly.
It’s a big step forward.
2.0 has neat features, but the general housekeeping / bug fixes are the real treat. Just look at that buttery smooth app drawer!
True. It will be a much better experience.
Can’t wait to see the iPad Pro review.
I can only imagine the time it takes and also takes away from your regular life to make these videos. You obviously have a great talent and passion for producing great content it’s relevant.
Although I don’t have anything but a Meta Quest three it’s great to keep up with the Vision Pro. Do you always do a great job reviewing the current going on with Apple products.
Well done and thanks again!😊
Thanks! But I don’t have that much of a life. 😀
Day 1 adopter here. I was a bit disappointed with the short time visionOS got in the keynote but it’s a small user base, so I can’t blame them. Content is what matters and considering it only launched 4.5 months ago, it makes good progress on about half the UI issues I had:
sharper and bigger Mac Virtual Display, remembers one recent guest user, basic video trimming (although no photo edit), keyboard passthrough, mouse support, 1 more nature Environment, quick Control Panel gestures, arrangeable home screen, anchoring objects to surfaces, faster hand tracking, better Spatial Personas, reopening windows after reset (although no saved profiles, nor Dock or Expose equivalent), web access to fullscreen video Environments (still needs to open up the Cinema environment IMO), a list of upcoming Immersive shows (w no timeline), spatial editing in Final Cut.
I’m content with it. Can’t wait to test the public beta next month.
It was short, but it was first.
@@DrWiggo True, I bet nearly everyone who tuned in saw it. There’s so much negativity about AVP out there though, I just wish they took more advantage of those eyeballs and took another 2-3 minutes to really show off how rapidly they’re addressing these gaps. They really breezed through it IMO but I’m happy with what they delivered.
Thank you - really like these Vision Pro videos! Hopefully you'll be able to do a follow-up video once you have the 2.0 version of the software in hand. Since this video came out it is being reported that Apple is coming out with a Vision Air in 2025 for the price of a high end iphone. Definitely going to buy that one so I'm happy that they are fine tuning and improving the software now.
When the public beta starts for 2.0, I’ll install it and do a video (since I don’t depend on it, I can go with beta software).
The MacOS feature they showed to bring your iPhone in as a virtual iPhone, interact with it, while leaving your physical iPhone locked, is a natural for the Vision Pro. I have to assume it’s coming along with the Apple Intelligence features that they disappointedly excluded from the Vision Pro.
The Blackmagic Design announcement was the biggest deal for me. The camera might not be for you or I, but the immersive video content it enables will be.
Never assume, but you’re right that it makes sense.
Great video. Another UA-camr who covers the AVP also showed a video using the iPhone in the AVP. His channel is “Himel” something. People are misreading this stage of the AVP. Apple is working on enterprise right now, not consumers. Trying to get major corporations to see Spatial Computing as the next era and include it in their future business models. That’s why companies like Gucci and Canon entering into the industry is so important. Early adopters such as yourself will show companies if there is interest in what they offer.
Exactly. People buy one. Companies buy in bulk. Imagine one for every Porsche dealer.
@@DrWiggo yes, I’ve read a hospital bought 10 for their research team and a big realtor bought multiple to determine if remote house tours would benefit from “3-D tours.
Great video!
Thanks!
I have a hunch that within the next year or two, there will be an update where iOS users can be invited and point their iPhones around the room and see the VisionOS world of another. Additionally if you are NOT in the same location, be able to SharePlay into their world remotely. Mark my words. This will absolutely increase adoption into Apple Vision products.
I hope you’re right!
Dr Wiggo, when are you coming to InSpaze? We keep on waiting to see you there!
I’ll get around to it. My persona is hideous (not that I look that much better in person).
Thanks for the update. Would love to get one but at A$7k for the 1TB model plus lenses I might just wait until the 2.0 version. Cheers
Understood. On the plus side, when you finally get one you’ll be awash in content.
Thank you for a good recap. Looking forward to hurting my face in about 4 weeks. I plan to collect mine at the Apple Store to get them to fit it properly which I hope is still possible.
I think getting fitted is a great idea.
Only problem with vision pro is its huge size that is difficult to wear for long time and its heavy pricing without any actual use case for us to actually get something out of it back as our earnings.
Those are the big downsides.
Dr. wiggo just so you know there is keyboard breakthrough for the MacBook Pro. I have a 2020 intel icore 5 MacBook Pro and used it in an environment and I was able to type with the keyboard and my hands showing fantastic.
Thanks! Good to know!
Waiting for ordering mine in France
A question : nothing about keeping placement of windows in this version ?
Notable in its absence, and the beta testers have confirmed it’s not there.
I love the Magic Mouse, it's the only mouse I'll use.
So you’re the one! 😀
@@DrWiggo 😂😂
I saw a claim in another video about Vision OS 2.0 that they significantly improved the low light hand tracking. I’d be interested if you could confirm because you complained about it previously.
I’ll do another video when I have 2.0 in hand. That would be a huge improvement!
