I LOVED THIS VIDEO...okay I need to calm down! I recently retired and decided to get back into a childhood love of miniatures. My first project I just completed is a recycled book box. It was a gift box containing small boxes of teas, so I made it into a tea room! Now I am beginning miniature greenhouse kit my kids gave me. It pretty, but needs something to make it more special than what the kit offers. This video is just the right inspiration. Thank you for the start to finish, longer format (not really long at all!). I tend to loose track of chapter type project videos. Thank you for sharing your ideas and talents. ❤
welcome back to the hobby! Thats so exciting. I love the idea of a tea room book nook, so whimsical and charming. You are so welcome and I really appreciate you taking the time to watch. :)
I love watching you create. My grandkids laugh at me for calling our refrigerator the ice box but what you have IS an ice box. We’ll cut you a break ‘cause you’re young. 🤭
hahahahahaha! that;s hilarious! Yes it IS actually an icebox..I didn't even catch that I called it a fridge, but I mess up all the time..I kept calling the egg carton an egg crate too...thank you for cutting me a break I appreciate your mercy! lmao
Wow - I love the white washed brick and stonework!! And I love the room box, even without the furniture (which by the way I also think looks totally cool). That fig pie was awesome - totally get why you kept going back for it AND why you designed around it! I love the longer content ~ I say "keep it coming"!!!
It was such a lovely prep board and I had it tucked carefully away for the perfect moment! It finally had its place in this room. I can't tell you how many times Ive designed an outfit around a pair of shoes or a set of earrings...same here! lol The room box could have also become a lovely garden shed space as well I was thinking.
So beautiful ❤ Your channel is so underrated! Þú ert svo dugleg! (Isl) and so talented. Long, short, just whatever you feel like giving us, we are grateful for 😊
Your comment is lovely, thank you for appreciating all my hard work and effort! I have so much passion for this hobby, it's so fun to share it with others who get it!
Absolutely fabulous! Its amazing how one or two pieces can inspire a whole scene like this! You've really got my creative ideas flowing for a future build....AS IF I ever needed more encouragement with my massive backlog of ideas hahahaha. Well done Whitney it looks wonderful, just like all your other creations do! lol
that same thing happens to me all the time! I'll be inspired by something and then I want to create whatever it is right then, but I have to tell myself "no, Whitney, just write it in your project book." I don't need more projects, I need more time! Thank you!
yes that may be my favorite part too! I had gone back and forth in how I wanted that look and I was very happy with the overall result. Thank you for going on the journey with me!
Thank you. When I first found those little birds, I looked right at them and knew I would have to make a very special place just for them at some point so I was thrilled to pull them out of the box finally!
Thank you for the feed back that's wonderful to know. I like a start to finish project too. I'll try to do more, sometimes I won't be able to just because of time, but I will try my best! thank you for watching. :)
Yes it really does! And it's such a simple way to accomplish the look quickly! You're right it does have a Tuscany feel to it. I really love that so much!
I love it!! It reminds me of outdoor kitchens I cooked in in rural New Mexico. It's fun to have an outdoor kitchen! I especially like the aqua refrigerator with the flowers. 🌷🌻🌺 I will watch all your crafting videos, no matter how long or short they are. Do what you find easiest! ❤
you are so sweet! Thank you for that, it means so much! I spent several months in New Mexico a couple of years ago for my job and what a beautiful state. I was staying in Santa Fe at the time.
The completed project turned out cute and I love it. I prefer making the long video you can see from start to finish. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day
Yes I really like a start to finish video too! I have begun to create longer videos also. Currently I'm working on a Back to the Future garage from the movie so I had to break it down into several videos cause I was doing so much for the room. But I will also do projects like these too!
This was absolutely amazing!!! I’m newer to the miniature world and am restoring my great grandmother’s 1800’s dollhouse. This inspired and encouraged me tremendously!!! And I LOVE having the whole thing, start to finish, in one sitting - THANK YOU for that!!!
wow what a great project, your grandmother dollhouse. How amazingly special. Well I am so happy you enjoyed the video and I am really excited for you and your mini journey. :)
This is lovely! I love the Stone wall, and the wisteria with lights, and the way you brought all the furniture pieces together. And I am totally greedy so I loved having it all in one video! And you did an amazing job pulling it all together with the tiny treasures and the aging. Thank you for this!
Hi Jen! I really appreciate your input! That egg carton stone is so great, I don't know who figured that out originally but I would give them a standing ovation! ItItss just a fabulous look., I have it in my dollhouse garden as a patio and I just love it!
I love the longer format videos, although I know the algorithm probably does not lol. It’s very satisfying to see the project from start to finish in one go. On the other hand, I did like the way you broke down the midcentury radio project, too, when the first video ended I was satisfied but also really looking forward to the second. So, I guess that’s my very unhelpful two cents. 😂😂
lol, you are too funny! Your feedback is appreciated. I was curious because I tend not to do the longer formats because I fear they may be too boring, or people will just skip to the end. Sometimes longer may be better for the project, so I will most likely go between the two.
thank you, yes I enjoy the start to finish myself. My schedule is very hectic with work and so I am considering doing less videos in the month but just longer start to finish projects..I go back and forth on it.
What a charming space and so inspiring to watch be created. The rustic look with the bricks, stones, trellis, vines and wisteria were so nice. The aging of the pieces and the lighting made it all come together. Beautiful job!
There was a time when I wasn't as diligent about lighting cutover time I have really grown to love the difference it can make in a project. I'm thrilled that you found it so charming, I wish I had a space like this myself!
Wow! This is fantastic! I do like the longer video with the variety of projects in this room. This has turned out so pretty. I love the little nest placement, the pie board, the pots as the leg, and so much to love here.
awe thank you my friend! Yes I worried about the length and if it would be too boring. The pie board, one of my favorites, I needed a place of its own so I could cherish it everyday!
I was so happy with the way the bricks and the wall turned out for this room. Yes the nest was part of the inspiration for the room and I was so thrilled to use it so I can enjoy it, instead of having it tucked away in a box. :)
oh my gosh i'm so happy to have found this on youtube after seeing your post on reddit! immediate subscribe 🥰🥰🥰 loved watching your process, from the satisfying grout to the way you painted all the furniture in that shabby chic style! so nice to have a look at your collection of miniature treasures too... when you said you lusted over that apple and fig board for months I laughed out loud!! sooo relatable. the way you fixed the table with a stack of pots....genius. i definitely prefer long videos showing the whole build! there's just something about seeing all the different parts of the project coming together at the end and looking so good 🤩
oh my gosh I am so happy you found me too! Thank you for subscribing and be here with me! That pie prep board really had me wrapped, just so pretty. I was so happy to figure out a way to fix the table with out just replacing the leg with another leg, it felt like it needed a bit of character. Thank you for the feedback on the video length, I will try to do more long content cause it does seem like more people like it. Hope to hear from you again have a great week! :)
WOW, I am less than 10 minutes in and already I have decided I have to do the stone walls in my "underwater" dollhouse. It just suddenly made sense. Also, GREAT idea of how to make vines, who doesn't have paper bags? THANKS for the great ideas!
The idea of an underwater dollhouse is so fantastic, I've thought about doing a small version of something similar, but like many projects it's sitting on a list! Those vines were so fun and simple to make, I wish I had thought of it sooner as I could use them in a lot of other areas of my dollhouse! Thank you for watching!
I'm so thrilled you enjoyed this room. It has certainly become oneof my favorite rooms, I could make all sorts of delicious vintage yummies in this space!
Great video! Thanks so much for sharing this vision. It doesn't matter to me if you have longer or shorter videos. I think it helped to have this video in one go because you had certain goals and surprises in mind throughout.
I agree and your feed back is appreciated! I will probably go back and forth between the long and shorter, it's just nice to see the longer is doing ok!
This room box is fab! You clever girl. My favorite is the tiny bird's nest in the window.❤🪺🐦🐦 I really like this type of video where you concentrate on one small room. Have a great weekend.🌞
Thank you so much for your feedback. With my work schedule the way that it is, it ay be better for me to create less videos but one or two longer videos with more in depth content. We will see how it goes! The Birds nest too is just so darling, I had to create a space just for it!
Well it took me long enough to find you .All of my mini favorites sent me here and I’m so glad they did .Really lovely this it spoke to me .I loved the pops of colors. Thanks for all the techniques really helpful. I’m creating my own house out of a giant box. I have been doing minis for about a year now. I love making things from nothing it’s the artist in me. I look forward to checking out more videos. 💕💕💕😍😍
oh wow that is so exciting, a house out of a giant box!!! I love that, so creative. I love making something from trash, etc..so satisfying. Im so happy you found me! Thank you for being here!
Hi Whitney, I have been watching your channel for a long time but im not much on the commenting, but i had to for this video, i really love the way the room came out. I also prefer the longer videos, im too impatient to wait a week for a next one to see a completion, i prefer to see it all in one.
Thank you for both taking the time to comment and also giving me this feed back. I completely understand being impatient! I too and very impatient! Thank you for being a long time supporter, that means so much to me. :)
Thank you! Oh me too! Years ago for an anniversary, my hubby and I were gifted a nice dinner to this fancy restaurant and they had an outdoor dining area that was covered in this huge wisteria tree and it was just so beautiful. It stayed with me and I was thrilled to be able to incorporate it in this way!
You are beyond talented! I loved this long-form video. The bird's nest is adorable, the apple & fig pie in progress, and that potato masher. My fave burner is also my front right 😆
I really appreciate your feed back. I'm struggling to create a video a week these days because of my work schedule. But maybe I can create a couple longer vids, with some shorts and one haul video a month..we will see! You knew I was going to use that tiny birds nest, it was just too darling and I had to create a special space for it! That prep board though, OMG, I love it and I think the colors are what really drew me to it, I wanted to be the person that would put on an apron and make a apple fig pie (even if I'm not a fig fan) lol! Hope you are having a great week!
That does sound like a good video schedule. I'm really impressed you're so active on UA-cam considering your work schedule. That's tough! Thank you for continuing to entertain & teach us :) Ah, a prep board! I didn't know what else to call them aside from "in progress". Thanks 😊
Greatly, greatly love your videos, long or short. This one was lovely. Very Tuscan outdoor kitchen . Wonderful and the fun was appreciated. The miniatures were so cute.
I really appreciate your comments and feedback. This was a project that lived in my head for a bit. It felt so good to bring it all together here and use those minis that were just sitting in storage waiting to be used!
Oh thank you for your feedback! I've done a video specific for the stones but that was the first time for those paper bag vines and they were so fun to make. I'm so happy you enjoyed the video!
SO neat! I LOVE this so much! 😃 I don’t care how long your videos are because I’ll either watch it all in one sitting or break it up into chunks if I’m short on time.❤
I love it Whitney! I love the long form but it really depends on the project right, some projects need to be broken down into separate videos. Beautiful room my friend.❤
totally appreciate the feed back, and I agree! I'm trying to juggle a more demanding work schedule and I'm trying longer form, but less vids a month but also better content with shorts mixed in! always trying to do better! I know you know what I mean!
I’m also trying to figure out my video schedule. I’m trying for every other week. It’s just what I can do with my kiddos needing me as well. I tend to do a lot in my videos so I need to perfect shorter form videos.
Whitney! I just love this kitchen SO MUCH! Not only did I thoroughly enjoy watching you create it but I learned so many new techniques I haven't seen quite the way you've done them. The wall is especially cool and looks so ✨perfect✨ with the floor. The scene evokes such a magical feeling, it made me think of Narnia, only Springtime. 😂 I absolutely love everything about it ❤️❤️❤️....Wonder if I add moss to my real kitchen 🤔
You know I kinda felt that way too about Spring Narnia, it also reminded me a a children's show I used to watch when I was a kid that was called Faerie Tale Theatre and it was hosted by Shelley Duvall. It had this magical glittery feel.
Whitney, What a wonderful video. I like it was full of a lot of different things and completed. I am going to watch it again later. The birds nest is so cute! I have a broken sink in my stash. I am going to cover it with a skirt. Great trash to treasure tip! 😊
This is really nice and I started watching RichMiniatures channel and just love those guys. I now have so many more videos popping up on my feed which is great. Thank you for sharing ❤😊
I really love this little room!!! I'm from the south so the wisteria is a must! The longer video was great. You packed a lot into it and I thoroughly enjoyed it! 🙂
I am thrilled to read that! What part of the south are you from? I'm an originally a Texas girl and while we are Southern we are not from the "South" as I'm sure you know what I mean! It's too dang hot for Wisteria in Texas and it's so unfortunate! So happy you enjoyed the video. :)
I'm in East Texas, and the wisteria was amazing this year. We got a lot of rain, and it stayed cooler longer, so it bloomed for weeks. It smelled so good!! And yes, I know what you mean! 😅
Thank you! It boombox was inspired by a couple of different places I have traveled in my life, so when I bought that prep board and nest I knew it was time to build them a little home!
I appreciate that. I usually draw out my ideas before building them and sometimes things don't work out, exactly but this time I was happy that it came together how I saw it on paper.
omg I know! I love that piece so much and I felt it really needed a special place. I have this other great item that I want to create a new space for and I'm excited to get started on that! Thank you for hanging out with me. :)
@@WhitneyLaBrie I normally stick with those miniature kits u can get Amazon. But I really want to make a room box from scratch. Just need to put my big girl panties on and do it. Lol.
Hi Wendy! thank you for the feedback. My mom is originally from England. I grew up with her always telling me that everything is better there! LOL, I finally took a trip there and of course took her with me. I loved every second I was there. So much to see.
@@WhitneyLaBrie Oh that's fantastic! Where abouts is she from? It's ironic as UA-camrs like yourself always make the USA and Canada seem much bigger and better and you certainly have access to lots more crafting materials and miniatures! I guess we should be more content with what we have. Thanks for creating such entertaining content, What we do in the Shadows room has been my fave ever but they are all amazing! 🥰
Hi Whitney! THERE IS A DOLL and MINIATURE show coming in Santa Barbara. I am praying you will be there so I can be all nervous and "fan-girl" if I see you. It will be in April I think and at the Elks Club in Goleta. My mom and I are going. My mom is 88 and loves dolls and is helping me with my dollhouse project. (she always swears she doesn't need any more dolls and is not going to purchase any....but she always cracks and buys something. It is so cute.) Hope you will be there.
@@WhitneyLaBrie OMG! I am going to tell my mom and we will look for you! She is small, 4foot 11 inches and 3/4, so she always says she's allowed to say she is 5 foot. Will you be there in the morning or afternoon do you think? Is there a way we could exchange phone numbers or something so we could text and find eachother? Let me know.
Thank you, I really love this room too..mostly cause I can see my self making bread or cupcakes inside. I love the idea of a hidden away secret garden kitchen..still not sure of what I should call it! lol
yay! so happy you think so, sometimes I have a vision for a project and hope it comes out the way I saw it, in this case it worked out without me really having to pivot or go in a different direction.
The curved portion of the range pipe didnt come with the oven/range. Its part of the bodo hennig cylinger water heater, and people took it off to use with the stove onstead. I found that out when i was looking for a bodo hennig stove and couldnt work out where the pipe bend had gone!
oh wow thats really great info thank you! The oven in the video is a wooden one by Town Square Miniatures that looks so similar to the Bodo Hennig, Its clear they were going for the same look! I learn so much from viewers, thank you for that!
sometimes I carry that stove in my ebay store, but I am currently out of stock (my store on ebay is Whitney LaBrie Events). I checked ebay for other sellers but couldn't find any. It is by Town Square Miniauttures if you want to try and find one.
I bought the brick roller from a shop on Etsy, the original shop is no longer there but there are several other shops on there that sell them. You can get all different ones!

I love the bird's nest in the window. Just perfect! I'm glad the cat doesn't seem at all interested in the birds!

Thank you for both taking the time to comment and also giving me this feed back. I completely understand being impatient! I too and very impatient! Thank you for being a long time supporter, that means so much to me. :)
I can smell the wisteria! Darling room box!!
Thank you!
Thank you for continuing to entertain & teach us :)
Ah, a prep board! I didn't know what else to call them aside from "in progress". Thanks 😊
@@WhitneyLaBrie Also, I love the close up photos you included during the video to show details like the bird's nest and shelf etc
This is so sweet! There are numerous techniques and ideas to learn from. I loved the start to finish and length of this video!!!
Oh thank you for your feedback! I've done a video specific for the stones but that was the first time for those paper bag vines and they were so fun to make. I'm so happy you enjoyed the video!
SO neat! I LOVE this so much! 😃 I don’t care how long your videos are because I’ll either watch it all in one sitting or break it up into chunks if I’m short on time.❤
I’m thrilled you enjoyed the video! Thank you for letting me know about your thoughts on the video length, your feedback is really appreciated.
@@WhitneyLaBrie ♥️
I love the little birds! This turned out pretty!
I fell in love with those birds the moment I saw them and now I can enjoy them daily! Thank you.
❤❤❤ it! I like longer content, personally. You did a beautiful job with this!🎉
Thank you for your feedback about the longer content. I like it too and will try to do it as often as I can!
You are so awesome! Thank you for the feedback. That bird nest was adorable and so freaking tiny! I had to make a special place just for it!
I need that birds nest for my dollhouse !! Your room is amazing, such creativity! Ty
I hope to get more in stock in my eBay store! Keep checking in. Thank you!
Awesome job!!! You have such a creative imagination. I loved it all.
I really appreciate that! It's funny how two tiny miniatures can inspire an entire room! Just like a pair of shoes can inspire an entire outfit! lol
This is really nice and I started watching RichMiniatures channel and just love those guys. I now have so many more videos popping up on my feed which is great. Thank you for sharing ❤😊
thats so cool! Yes it's great to see this hobby is not dead! It's so fun to create these tiny worlds. Thank you for being here. :)
Beautiful! So many little tips for making this gorgeous room; thank you so much!!!
You are so very welcome! I hope they come in handy for you in future projects. Thank you for watching! 💕💕💕
Sent by Queen City Minis❣️ Thanks, that was fun. Turned out so cute.
Awe Shyra! Yes she's great! Thank you for coming over and hanging with me. :) Im happy you liked the results.
Omg this is beautiful and I would love for you to keep making the longer videos
Thank you and I will certainly do my best!!! You are so appreciated!
@@jonihenry8124 oh wow! East Texas yes! My grandfather lived in Gladewater pretty much his whole life, do you know Gladewater?
That's great!!! I hope you have a wonderful visit! 😊
I love how this looks, it so wonderfully beautiful and creative! Great job!!
Thank you! It boombox was inspired by a couple of different places I have traveled in my life, so when I bought that prep board and nest I knew it was time to build them a little home!
I liked it all but am especially crazy about the floor and it didn't seem to long for me but I am a beginner and very enthusiastic
I love that floor and how it turned out. It felt really good to make! So happy to ready that you are new to the hobby, so exciting! Welcome and enjoy!
Thank u. Whitney. Super cute thanks for the inspiration ❤❤❤❤
You got it Sharon! I hope you are having a great week. :0)
What immagination you have, very inspiring, well done
Thank you for that! I’m thrilled you liked the results. Hope you have a great weekend! 💕🥰
This came out just so adorable. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I appreciate that. I usually draw out my ideas before building them and sometimes things don't work out, exactly but this time I was happy that it came together how I saw it on paper.
W-O-W!.....just WOW!
thank you for that! means so much!
Such a sweet creation. TFS 😊
thank you! I'm so happy you enjoyed it, It was certainly a fun project for me to create. :)
Love the long well explained video! Thank you.
thank you! I will try to get at least one longer, more explained videos in every month! Thank you for your feedback. :)
Beautiful. The apple bowl piece made that room.
Lol.
@@Fruitloop25 I completely understand this feeling…all it takes is a start and boom…you’re off never looking back 🥰🥰🥰
Really enjoyed the content as always and the longer format. Thank you from Nottingham, England ❤❤❤
Hi Wendy! thank you for the feedback.
I will probably be there! Love to meet you!
Thanks for mentioning this show! Whitney, “Ireland” will be here! 😉☘️👏
@@paulaneary7877 I’m not sure yet about the time. I’ll be with a friend of mine also. Email me at whitneylabrieevents@gmail.com
I'm in Nacogdoches County, but I know where Gladewater is. It's a neat little town.
oh wow thats so cool! thank you for sharing. I'll be in Texas at the end of the month and I am really looking forward to seeing my family!
Wauw i love the roombox and i like the video.
oh thank you! So thrilled you liked it!
I really love this room. You're so creative ❤
Thank you, I really love this room too..mostly cause I can see my self making bread or cupcakes inside. I love the idea of a hidden away secret garden kitchen..still not sure of what I should call it! lol
LOVE THE ROOM VERY CREATIV3

Hey my friend! So good to hear from you! Glad you like the room box, one of my favorites ever!
That's gorgeous ❤
yay! so happy you think so, sometimes I have a vision for a project and hope it comes out the way I saw it, in this case it worked out without me really having to pivot or go in a different direction.
Well done. Loved the finished look a lot!
very appreciated, I was so happy with the results too! Sometimes I have a little fear half way through a project that it won't turn out.
this is so inspiring to watch ❤
I really appreciate you telling me that! It warms my heart! xoxoxox!
I love this room and video
I really appreciate that. It has for sure become one of my favorites!
Gorgeous build!
Thank you so much for your comment! Very very appreciated.
Wonderful work and excellent video ❤
I am so happy you enjoyed it. I loved creating this and being able to bring some of those random pieces together!
So inspiring! Thank you 😊
Thank you so much for watching., very appreciated!
Holy cow! ❤
Thank you! Very appreciated!
That was fantastic!!! Thank you so much for sharing it. New follower here!

Wow! You are amazing.. what a great mood it gives. I want to shrink myself and move in. Can you tell me what scale this is in?
Thank you so much for that! So happy you enjoyed it. It was so enjoyable to bring this space together. It is all in 1:12 scale. :)
Love that stove!! Where can I get one?? ❤
sometimes I carry that stove in my ebay store, but I am currently out of stock (my store on ebay is Whitney LaBrie Events). I checked ebay for other sellers but couldn't find any. It is by Town Square Miniauttures if you want to try and find one.
This is lovely!! Well done!
Where did you get your brick roller?
I bought the brick roller from a shop on Etsy, the original shop is no longer there but there are several other shops on there that sell them. You can get all different ones!
