I bought 2 of these for my two smallest granddaughters (they're too young for them right now though). My plan is to make them Christmas gingerbread- style houses for them. My handles were messed up on both of mine just like yours. Loved watching you work on this (and the peaceful music)- you gave me a great idea to use Christmas paper for wallpaper! Thank you for sharing your creativity! ❤
Awesome, awesome, awesome!! I definitely want to see how you decorate and furnish the inside! In my mind, I was furnishing each room as you were completing each one! 😊❤
My first ever dollhouse kit purchase was a dura craft Newburg. (25.00) ...... from Michael's. Might be smaller, but I'm glad Michael's is selling dollhouses again.
I had planned on something like this when our 2 granddaughters were small, but we were offered a free twelfth scale solid wood dollhouse with a box of furniture. The girls played with that for about 2 years, last summer we finally put it and the furnishings out on the curb for free and everything was snapped up in just a few hours!
These are beautiful little first doll houses for little girls and you have done a beautiful job of the rooms.Of course we would love to see them with the furniture in them ..Well I would anyway as I am a big kid lol!..
Just saw your video a few days ago. I ordered the same doll house from Michael's, and I just picked it up in the store. The cost was only $23.19. Such a bargain for my "starter" home. However, the rooms are small and the floors are very narrow. I will probably make or order furniture that is 1/24 rather than 1/12 to fit into the rooms. Now I'll have to find a Phillips screwdriver that is small enough for the screws. I can't wait to go through my scrapbook paper to choose wallpaper. I also have books of real wallpaper samples in a closet. Thanks for the idea about making templates for the wallpaper. Thanks for the video.
There's a lot of love put into that doll house. Furniture for it will be expensive. It would look prettier with bushes or painted bushes on the house or flowers.
6:56 To get a template for the outside walls where it slants maybe the house could be laid on its side, and traced. Make allowance for where the floor divides the two stories. I’m not really sure how that’d work, but for me it’d be easier than trying to measure it from the inside.
You usually cut the paper to roughly the size ( on the big size) lay the paper in the room and either crease it or pencil in the bits that are too big so you cut it away and end up with the exact size, without measuring.
Wow! So interesting. It has been on my mind to get a dollhouse and decorate it. Then this video shows up. I would definitely love to see how you furnish it. I just love this. There is so much love and time put into this. Hoping you will show the finished dollhouses. ❤️😘🤗💕
I love that Michael’s carry houses now. I bought the bigger house and made an English stone cottage out of it. A lot of fun. Great job. It came out so cute!
They both loved them but the 7 year old was beside herself! She can’t wait to make more things with me for it! Maybe I’ll post some videos of us working on things for it…
Quick question- what type of cutting tool were use using to cut the stir sticks for your floor. Love your work, and so beautiful 🩷 Would love to see how you furnished each of the houses.. again such beautiful work 🩷
Hello! The cutting tool is mitre shears. You can get them from Amazon…try to find ones with replaceable blades. I just posted a follow up showing these furnished!
I used Lineco Neutral PH adhesive but I think any all purpose glue will work...just don't go overboard with it or you will definitely get warping. Good luck!
I used a new tool called the "glue press" to apply a very small amount of glue and then I used a bone folder to burnish it down very well. That seemed to work. Also, Elmer's glue stick for kids (the purple one) works really well too if you have a problem with wrinkling paper. The problem happens when there's too much glue or too much water in the glue. Hope this helps!

I'm so glad you painted the door and window trims that lovely soft green.

I would LOVE to see the completed doll houses with the furnishings. Thank you!😊
Love it! Great work! I would love to see more!
Thank you! I’ll try to show the furnishings before I have to wrap them up! Thanks for watching!
19:22 Oh that’s a good idea to score the “tile” paper! I’m not sure I would’ve thought of that. I bet my husband would have though. 😂
1400 Sometimes an exacto knives are easier to use for tight areas.I really love the wallpaper prints, and colors!
Love the old style wall paper
Gorgeous Job. Keepsakes for sure. Print out a pic of you and each girl w their house. Print it out small, frame it, and hang in the house.
I adore that idea! Thank you!

@@medawson01 good luck! It’s a fun project for sure! And what a bargain you got!
Beautiful
Beautiful!
Just as an idea when you gift this you could stencil the little girls name on it, or a decorative stencil in the back of it.
Thank you for posting this. It too bought one with a coupon but don't know what I'm doing with it yet.
Very cute.😊💕🩷

@@MakeSomethingwithAmy Just posted. Still working on it. It didn’t come with a door so l made a fake one. Will make a door soon!
I love how these turned out I would love to see them furnished
I’m on it!
I'd have left the ladder out I think, or put it flat on the wall so there's room for more furniture, but still a ladder visually.
good idea...it is snug in there!
Your house came out beautiful. I would love to see how you decorate the rooms with furniture.
You did such an awesome job! I would love to see how you furnish them! Thank you!
This is adorable! And I would love to see the way you furnish it for both kids!

How do you keep the glued paper from wrinkling?
