I own an iPhone 8 and when I start using the Moza Genie App, the phone gets very hot and my charge runs out quickly. By the way, I do not own a Mini MX yet.
@@Tvennet Yes. When I shoot 4K, the original camera also gets very hot, even in one shot the phone got so hot that it stopped recording. However, in Moza App, it gets very hot even at 1080 60fps. This situation makes me think to buy Moza Mini XX 💁🏻♂️🤔
Woah that price is CRAZY! I have an osmo 3 already, but this price is awesome. Loving recently many of these companies coming out with more consumer friendly prices to get into the world of filmmaking and video content! And this isn't by any means garbage! Looks awesome
It’s a real steal. And what you can do is really solid. Honestly it changed my mind a bit about mobile filmmaking (still not happy with the quality coming out of it, too crispy IMO) but it’s a really solid product.
Hi Thomas, amazing review, absolutely one of the bests, if not the best. Thanks for it, and keep providing more reviews like this great, quick, useful, and very impressive video.
@@Tvennet Haha, no but I did shoot my sample footage in the mountains. Put my back out yesterday too, so not allowed to fall off any more hills either 😂😂
Dude! I feel like a cheaper option for mobile stabilization is the way to go. The shots you get with it are so infrequent it’s just not worth investing into in my opinion. Great vid
Hey Tom, great video and thanks for the review. Glad to see these keep on coming! I already have the Osmo Mobile first gen. Do you think it's worth changing to this one?
Bro.. Can we use extended stick if we want to make drone footage.. ☺👍 will it still be stabilised without holding handle grip? Does it has a screw hole under the grip? Thanks..
Dear Thomas, thank you so much for this review. I particularly liked that you pointed out that this gimbal connects directly with the phone's native camera app via Bluetooth. As I am weary about most gimbal apps, is this the only gimbal that successfully pairs and works well with the native phone camera app? I look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you for reading x
Thanks for watching Sabrina. Now to answer your question, I know that the osmo 3 & 4 are able to connect to the native camera app, even to other camera apps like the Moment app.
its similar size to the osmo 3/4, and does same functions and cheaper so its a good option, but i would recommend people buy a small gimbal. you want something you can put in your pocket and easily take anywhere and not be bothered. gimbals are prone to being not used frequently due to size, a gimbal like moza mini S or hohem isteady x are better options.
The issue with gimbals like the mini s or Isteady x is the same has the vlogpocket I reviewed. The size is so small that the footage isn’t quite « steady » enough. Although, for just vlogging it’s ok, but for smooth cinematic footage it’s a bit too short. At least in my opinion...
@@Tvennet true, but phones already have good enough stabilization so you just need an extra push with the gimbal. im talking from a vlogger perspective, sure if you need most smoothest for cinematic then osmo 3/4 or bigger gimbals are good. actually i use osmo 3, but ive occasionally left it at home when i needed it. gimbals are getting out of trend, it needs to be as small and light weight for the public to consider it and carry it everywhere.
@@Tvennet Hi, thanks for replying. No I am still debating if I should get this or the osmo 4. I like my data to be private and not have to share my location settings with these 3rd party apps. i was being a little paranoid.
WOW, this looks like a solid deal, serious mobile filmmakers should consider it. - The intro was sickkk, bro and the design as well... The way you incorporate the fonts. Also, those points on the bottom left corner, such subtle details bring up the quality significantly.🙌🔥
Thanks man!!! I think I’m going to make a short tutorial for the graphics in the bottom. It’s not that difficult and pretty much teaches the very basics of after effects...
@@Tvennet that's cool, bro. I, myself being a novice UX designer have started to notice such subtle details that create great impact on viewers' thoughts. Thank you, you're an inspiration.
Hi Can you please try mounting a gopro and show us how it works. Would be really helpfull if you test that... I have seen many video where people are using gopro on DJI Osmo Mobile 3&4. Would be interested to know if that works with MX also....
Excellent materials. Innovative design. The function of hand controls is something that other companies don't have. Tracking is the best. The packaging is Premium. For me, actually it is a best solution for Android Device. In addition to being the only real competitor to Dji Osmo 4. The Moza app it is a very comfortable, and easy. Away from the Chinese apps of other companies.
I don’t have an android phone, but from the little research I quickly did: the native camera app works perfectly and there’s an android version of the Genie App. Just check the weight of your phone and see if it fits.
A great review, I love your presentation style. The intro is epic. Changing modes via numerous "clicks".... they sound noisy, can these clicks be heard in the recorded video? The grey finish of the gimbal looks "rubbery" so is it "grippy? Also what is the battery life and is it possible to charge the phone from the gimbal?
The battery life is said to last 24h. Now let’s be honest, I didn’t test it 24h straight but I used it a day long without any problems and still have a lot of battery the next day. So it’s probably going to stay charged for a while. Plus, you can always always plug it to an external battery if needed via the usb C port. The gimbal doesn’t charge the phone. The handle isn’t rubbery, it’s hard plastic but it feels right in the hand, especially with the tripod/handle. For the click of the buttons, I didn’t eat anything on the videos from the gimbal, maybe it’s just because it was close to my mic.
Just ordered mine yesterday, and watched this today… and feel way better about my purchase based on your review!
I own an iPhone 8 and when I start using the Moza Genie App, the phone gets very hot and my charge runs out quickly. By the way, I do not own a Mini MX yet.
I recon that my iPhone X also get’s very hot, but not only with the genie app ( filmic pro, moment, zhiyun play).
Maybe the 4K is too demanding.🤷🏻♂️

I am also curious about this. Is it easy to place in the vehicle? So can I wear it on glass? If I wear it, will it be affected by the vibrations?
If you look at the videos on my channel, you can understand better what I mean :(
How so? In a véhicule? You mean putting it on a window mount?

Can you do a comparison over Smooth 4 Vs MOZA Mini MX?
Yea please 🥺

Hi, does the location settings on your phone need to be turned on to pair this device or only bluetooth?
Not that I am aware of. Why? Do you have an issue connecting it?

Nope. You don’t need to, mine was turned off ;)

Thé price.
That it does exactly the same thing and the design gives you an extra point of stabilization.

Iam going to buy it

Do you even own a Dji OM-4?
