I used the arrl study guide for my tech and scored a 100.
Struggled some with general, so tried ham radio prep after awhile and passed just missing 2.
I knew extra was going to a challenge, so I went 100% with ham radio prep, including purchasing the audio book to listen to while commuting.
I have a very weak background in math, so also got Michael burnettes "fast track extra class math" workbook.
Passed extra this past week.

It’s good to see an impartial HamRadioPrep review that isn’t an ad. How does it compare to other free and paid test prep and learning tools like Hamstudy, ARRL books and materials, HRCC’s crash course, Gordon West books, KB6NU’s No-Nonsense guides etc.?

There was nothing like this when I was studying for my exams. I am a visual and hands-on learner, I struggle with just staring at words on a page.
I used ham radio prep for my tech general and extra class licenses! Got my extra within a little over a year after gettting my technician class license!

I love Ham Radio Prep. I passed my technician test easily, but I’m having the reverse problem you’re having. I signed up on my laptop using my Facebook login, but now I can’t sign up on my phone

The funny thing and imo scummy tactic is, those prices have always been their prices. Its a trick to make you think it is one sale. I hate that type of marketing and cannot support that type of thing.
Our teacher told us to study the correct ANSWER ONLY. This way, no matter what questions you get asked, you will know the answer.
There are lots of effective ways to study. I would recommend using the method that you think will work best for you.
I have used the method you mentioned while doing practice questions as well, it does work!
