Can you make this same video, but with radios? I am trying to find the best radio as a beginner. something that will give me lots of capability but also push me to learn more and how to use it. I dont want to exceed the radio in 6 months.
best "bang for the buck" antenna I own. I also use it on my mast for 2m SSB/digital, "DX" repeater and simplex work. I've made mountain top 2M FM contacts approx. 75 miles with 5 watts. I heard the "Alaskan Arrow" has enough Db gain to work the MEO SAT greencube IO-117. Fast with Parts and shipping too, cant say enough good things
Great Video ! Have seen many great videos of this antenna ! Hope to see a video soon of you connecting to the ISS ! How soon will it be before we see you talking to the South Pole Lunar Outpost/Base (Clementine Base) ? tjl
@@smbrown thank you for the feedback. I plan to upload some good passes with this antenna soon. I do have a video up on the channel of my first ISS contact using this antenna. Most of the passes I’ve worked have been at night under poor lighting conditions, so I didn’t want to use dark video where you can’t see what I am doing. Thanks again for the feedback, and thanks for watching!
@@joelaut12 it was clearly disclosed TWICE in this video that I was given this product to review. I gave my honest review after using it for the past month, as I do with all products whether purchased by me or given to me by a brand to review. I am not an affiliate of Arrow Antenna, so I get no “cut” from sales. You’re only supporting Arrow Antenna, a ham owned business, and the work that they do designing and building their antennas.
I have used this antenna mounted on tripod and left outside for several years now. It is great!!
I got my first sat contact a few weeks back with this antenna.. So exciting !
I got the same antenna, sans duplexer, since I had one laying around, a great choice

Looks like a great antenna. Looking to get one with more elements to chase the Greencube satellite
They actually make one for the GreenCube satellite. I did a video with Arrow Antenna at Dayton a few videos back on the channel.
@@KI5IREhamradio Thanks I’ll look into it

Have you tried this to capture NOAA or Meteor-M2 sat imagery?
Seems like a great antenna. But, man, that Arrow website needs some serious help.
What radio are you using with it?
Thanks for the video buddy. 73 M3VWN
Great video.
New Sub.
Will take a look at the website.
How well would it work with a Baofeng UV5R 8W HT?
Huge missed opportunity: demo using it!
