Here I was half expecting a sound bite of "did you know, warrior can actually *solo* Shiva Extreme synced".
That would've been hilarious 🤣
Level 50 Warrior lacks all the cooldowns to give the chance at that. No Bloodwhetting for instance.
I did this extreme recently with a full party and I feel like the definition of competent is being a bit understated and these are all very uncommonly good players. Clearing with 3 people synced is an incredible achievement that I wouldn’t have thought possible.
I will admit that I also view my regular viewers as above average! 😁

I've heard some groups tried this with Sophia and Bismarck, and found these were also possible to clear with less than 8.
That does not surprise me! The real big question is how few is enough I suppose! 😁
all heavensward ex trials are soloable. i just did them last night for fire bird
@ajaiiix2978 i think they meant synced 😅 but yes that is true, unsynced they are soloable 😊
Was so much fun to participate is this, especially as I haven't done any raids on content so it was a fun challenge which required some actual brainpower. Can't wait for Bismark upcoming week, as that is actually one of the few extremes I have done synched, so it will be interesting to see how things change.

I don't know when we will try Bismarck, but I am sure we will get to it eventually! (assuming dawntrail doesn't completely throw me into a different thing or something! 😅)

for all the free trial players looking to do extremes or other content that people usually use party finder for, while you can’t make any posts, you can still join them! so you don’t actually have to queue in duty finder to do extremes as long as you get lucky and someone else is already making a group
This is indeed true! Hopefully non free trial players will make these groups regularly enough that this could just work! 😄

@@CaetsuChaijiChever try great hunt ex MINE, with one of each healer? Forces you to engage with the healers in some interesting ways. Managed to see enrage once after getting the last tail break but couldn't quite close it out

Great challenge, felt fun to watch the entirety of the video to learn if you were able to defeat Shiva with a certain number of Players, if you have another one of those challenges to do I would gladly partake in it, if you don't mind Caetsu :D

Usually the group is comprised of a few that I have asked beforehand, and then we fill from willing participants from the stream. So I guess the important piece is to be ready and willing when we start 😁

It'd be interesting if you turned this into a full series all the way from ARR up to current Extremes, just to see what some fights would look like (Excluding stuff like SoS since you need the tank LB3 ofc)

Blows my mind that this can be done with 3 people but get 8 using the duty finder and it's pure chaos throughout, love me some extremes in mentor roulette though almost always have fun.
Oh definitely! Although sometimes it can get frustrating if people are just not listening! 🤣
On the bright side, knowing just three solid players can get it done I feel is very motivating! 😁
I don't think I even knew this fight _had_ an enrage, even with lots of deaths if you can recover and live you'll still end up clearing
Maybe that's why it's so fun, you can actually recover from low points instead of just immediate body check or failing dps check
That is a very good point, and also a reason why it can be fun to mess around with some of these fights! Specifically because they leave enough room for you to fail hard, but if you can recover, there is still a chance! ^^
It's a great challenge and I invite everyone to come see the streams to help, watch or wager and discuss with everyone about what number it will come to, and if next try will be the last one!
Indeed! We also almost rediscover mechanics as the run slows down with less players, which is also fun to see happen live! 😄
Would it be possible to push enough damage with only 2 players if you used both pots and the potent poisining potions to whittle down Shiva's hp? PPPs ended up being a crutch one of my MINE groups leaned on to help clear t13.
If we both used tinctures twice during the fight, it would mean we both would do 10% more damage for 1 minute total each. PPP seem to do around 300 damage combined per use, which is of course not nothing, but with two players, we would be able to get around 10 of those out over the course of the fight, amounting to 3000 damage. From what I can find, she has 704917 hp which means this would take off around 0.4% of her hp.
Neither of these things would amount to enough damage to take off an additional 20% of her hp, which is why I estimated that if we had played better, and used tinctures, we mightve been able to get her to 20% but not kill her 😅
Still, good suggestions!
You know, this also makes me curious what the minimum is if you go min Ilevel, probably 4-5 based on gear scaling

1:15 i love queueing into random Ex from HW and up and just catching random Mentors from their roulettes. I mean if i'm crafting, gathering etc why not have the queue tick in the background and maybe it will pop and it sometimes does!
Just make sure you did your homework if you queue like that 😅
There's also the part that the higher and higher level extremes can reach a point where it just isn't beatable in one sitting with strangers 😅
@@CaetsuChaijiCh HW trials are pretty clean with strangers from my experience, Stormblood is a bit hit or miss. Shadowbringers one didn't pop, i think i'll have to exclusively queue for those since it seems HW ones take priority in search (as i'd pick 5 Ex at random).
I mean it's not common i can find 3h for the queue to run in the background as more often than not i use DF or PF for sth. It has to be for long gathering/crafting session which are rare themselves (not everyday you have 2-4 undisturbed hours to play for the EX queue to pop)
