    I used to teach outdoor photo classes, and I always told people pick a system and stick with it, dont go crazy buying bodies (they will get updated every year., and if you always have to have the latest and the greatest it will drive you crazy.) But lenses… that is where you spend your money. A great lens vs a good lens…. Night and day.

    Seems like the bugs, mozzies in particular, haven't been an issue since you left Denali, is that about right? Hey, this is a BTS question: when you film and switch from the Sony, to the DJI Pocket, to a GoPro, back to the Sony, do you preface recordings with something like a "this drive to Seward goes after the lunch stop outside of Anchorage" to keep it chronological, or do you just go by the time stamps of the recorded files (assuming that all camera clocks are set correctly)?

    • @BoundForNowhere
      @BoundForNowhere  2 роки тому +1

      HA! This is an incredible question and something that is always a struggle. So we do our best to do this by grouping folder of footage based on location and organizing them that way. Then when it comes to the individual files and clips, we do our best to do this via time stamps... easier said then done as it seems like something is always off by an annoying amount. So it usually isn't fully sorted until I rough out each episode in a timeline. I pull selects and order them how I want them for the story, which isn't always chronological.

    This channel is better than any Netflix documentaries. Question...you guys ever fight and I know first hand there is always one more into the videos and documenting the adventure. How do you guys handle this? Or do you both share the passion to be a youtuber?

    • @BoundForNowhere
      @BoundForNowhere  2 роки тому +1

      That is a really insightful question. So our objective isn't really to be UA-camrs. I think that youtube is just where the things that we want to make live best, if that makes sense. I (MAK) have a goal of being a documentarian filmmaker. Owen loves shooting, but doesn't love the editing side of things despite being very good at it. So we're working on removing him from the post production side of things as it's something that I take more joy in. Currently it is challenging because we are ready to move Owen out of that roll, but frankly, we can't afford another editor. So in the future that is how we plan to do things. Thanks so much for watching it seems you enjoyed the series thus far!
