- We spent the BEST three days at Kenai Fjords National Park near Seward and words do not do this place justice! This FREE national park is full of towering mountains, fjords, more glaciers than we could count, the largest ice field entirely in the United States, and endless wildlife. We couldn’t believe that the scenery we experienced here was real life…it was breathtaking!

Adam and Kathryn guys i just want u to know you destroy my depression:) you make the world lovely and beautiful and exciting:) much much looooooooove from philippines since last year:)
Where can I find the link to bed river camping near Exit Glacier there? Staying there too this May...counting down :)!
I’m over waiting when you two will get a Travel Channel show! Some of the best content on YT. Thank you for bringing us along on the Adventures 🫡
Why want a TV show when you can do the same level of quality on your own, and share the profits with no one!
Nah, they may lose creative freedom and to have a crew follow you on your adventures wouldn’t be as fun. They are fine just like this.
We super appreciate that! That means a lot to us! In reality we are nowhere near anything like this 😂 But, as the other commenters said we may lose out on the creative freedom and having a huge film crew follow us around wouldn't be nearly as fun. Although, having others do the filming and do the editing would be nice! haha We're thankful and grateful we get to do what we do and are so excited to continue!
@@AdventuresofAplusK yeah, I figured that. But your guys content is far none on YT.
The Harding Ice Field hike was one of my most memorable and hard hikes ever. Arrived at that hut and it was blowing snow... so cold but epic. Thanks for the memories.
It's a completely different world up there!
Love love love Alaska. Thanks for sharing that boat tour. That’s on my list for sure. It’s so crazy how massive the glaciers are. Videos I know don’t do no justice to what u really see in person I hope everyone can get too see then one day. I got to walk on one 4 years ago on my helicopter tour and it’s just awwwwww…
It's wild how massive the glaciers are! We thought we were so close, but really we were still miles away from it! We hope you can get up there because it is life changing
Love your Alaska series!!! Having just returned from our own 2-week trip there, your videos are a nice way to look back at our own travels. What I especially love about your videos (and what i think makes them stand out) are all the little details you capture - waves crashing, a man cutting fish, seagulls flying, a cloud above a mountain, water dripping from tree leaves... Those are the kind of little details you capture (in between the main sights) that make your videos so special! Love it!
P.s. And i also appreciate all the factual / historical information you add about the sights.
Yes!!
Same. I enjoy the extra details to their videos. They're definitely the best travel videos I've seen about Alaska and I've watched a lot of them.
True. They have great B-roll and establishing shots 👍
Thank you so much! That means a lot to us! We think adding in little shots like those just adds to the experience and helps the viewer feel like they're there. Thank you!
Thanks, Lisa!
I visited Alaska once, and words can't describe what an incredible place on Earth we have. It's truly just an amazing, stunning, and breathtaking view. As someone who has been struggling with the purpose in life, I am finally getting back on track and feeling much better. Not going to lie, watching this video made me nostalgic, but also it moved me and inspired me to gain back the liveliness of what life experiences bring you. Thank you so much for sharing this, and wishing you the best on your journey.
It is truly an incredible place! We are lucky we get to do what we do and are able to share it with so many people out there! Thank you and thanks for watching!
If I were a first time watcher I'd swear that you work for the Alaska Tourism Dept. This was an absolutely stunning vlog entry. Since we're almost to the Baseball Playoffs I'd say you just hit a Bases Loaded Grand Slam Homerun! Incredible!!!!!!!!!!!
Agreed. They're videos are amazing.
Thank you so much! 😊
I look forward to every episode. And to use the word Kathryn said more than once, this may be the most "stunning" video you've ever filmed. Thank you!
Thank you so much!
AMAZING video! We were there in 2013 and loved it. I can only imagine how much Exit Glacier has receded since then. We took the boat tour as well. Although I felt sea sick for much of it, it was still one of the best experiences I've ever had and would do it again in a heartbeat (with Dramamine this time 😜). I absolutely love watching your videos and can't wait to see your next adventure!
The Dramamine was key for us. We probably wouldn't have had as good a time without it! The boat tour was incredible! Thanks and thanks for watching!
I'm so glad you were able to go see these glaciers, hike, & take a boat tour. I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you so much for sharing this adventure you & your Husband took. Alaska is a beautiful place. I loved your excitement through the video too.
We were blown away by this place and boat ride! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Glaciers, mountains and whales, OH MY! What an EPIC time in and around Seward! Can't wait to get there!
You're going to love it!
You guys never cease to impress with your amazing videos!!
Thank you!
The word is stunning; from the coffee with the view to the boat tour to the hike; STUNNING 🤩 😎😎😎😎👍👍👍👌👌
We thought Stunning was the best word too!
Epic. I agree….. your BEST video to date. The views, the experience…..over the top. Way to go!!! 🏆🥇👏🏻
Thank you so much!
glad you guys got to make it to this park! definitely one of the most impressive sites in alaska.
We're thankful we got to go also! It has been one of our favorite places!
Of course you guys were thoughtful about tipping the crew! Great episode ❤️👍😄
Yes, tipping is very common up here. I think 10-20% is customary.
The crew were so friendly, fun, and awesome to us!
This video was spectacular! I can see why this is one of or your best experiences!!! So much beauty packed into this video! It’s always a good ending with your dancing and outtakes! Thank you for all your hard work and keep traveling safe. 😘❤️❤️❤️🐶🥰
The boat ride was so spectacular! That experience is hard to beat!
Yay A+K! (+ no K today) I love all of your videos, but the National Park ones are my fave. Great vid as always! I appreciate that your sponsorship fits to the topic. I will definitely look into the Dyrt. That will be helpful for future travels
We love sharing the NP videos! Thank you! We were very nervous share this sponsorship so we're glad it is helpful! We only want to promote things that are super relevant and that we actually use.
You hit a grand slam with this one guys. All the adventures were spellbinding.
Grand salami! Thank you!
Glad you were able to make it to Kenai Fjords NP. I think the day we went out on the boat into the fjords was one of the absolute most enjoyable days in my life. We had calm seas the day we went, so didn't have to worry about Dramamine. Exit Glacier looks like it has receded 75-100 yards since we were there about 8 years ago. Great video.
Yeah Exit Glacier is unfortunately receding FAST! It's noticeable.
@@tacrewgirl The series of signs that show the glacier leading edge at different points in time is a real eye opener. I don't remember specifics, but I think that there are markers from the early 1900's and that they are at least a half mile, if not closer to a mile, from the current leading edge of the glacier.
@@stevedietrich8936 Yes, I remember the signs. The ones at 2005 and 2010 are most telling. A friend who grew up in Alaska was shocked at how far it had receded from his childhood in 2005.
This NP is in our top 5 now! The boat ride was an incredible experience we'll not soon forget!
Another great adventure. I'll definitely have to add Kenai Fjords and the boat tour to my Alaska bucket list.
It's a MUST DO!
Love love love that y’all got to see so much of Alaska by boat in this video! Those swells were BIG! Every Alaska video blows us away with how beautiful the landscape is. Can’t wait for you guys to visit us in the Keys for some more boat life adventures. ❤
Absolutely phenomenal video Adam & Katherine! We love all of your vlogs but these Alaska vlogs are just next level!!! I want to leave a comment that does this vlog justice but I don't know that I can. I feel like I've run out of words to describe just how amazing they are. The glaciers, wildlife, and scenery is so freaking awesome!!!! The calving (spelled right?) of the glaciers is insane! The seals are adorable! That boat tour absolutely is on our list of things we have to do! Btw, your editing skills are truly fantastic...the music, commentary, and video quality are second to none! 🤩😍
We have run out of adjectives and descriptions as well! haha The boat ride is a MUST DO if you come to this area of Alaska. Thank you so much, Brad!
thank you for emphasizing tipping the crew! i work on glacier tours in southeast alaska and it’s really discouraging when you work hard and put in a lot of effort getting to know passengers and showing them a good time for 7 hours and receiving nothing.
i’ll be up in seward doing their 8.5 hour tour next month and im stoked! awesome video
Definitely have to take care of the crew!
We're jealous of your time in Seward!
I was very excited to see a new video today. This series has me wanting to go back to AK! Loved seeing those puffins. Thanks so much for sharing this adventure in a high quality YT video!
The puffins were so awesome! We had been wanting to see those for so long! Thank you!
Who needs National Geographic when we’ve got APLUSK! The boat trip, glaciers, wildlife and thanks for making that 10 mile hike. Wow! Excellent video guys! ~Cara 😊
😂😂 thank you!
Your videos truly capture the experience of Alaska.
Exit Glacier was a great trip from Seward in October 2022, after the season was over. When we were driving to Exit Glacier we saw our first moose as it crossed the road in front of us. We were able to see it as we passed it slowly.
Since we only had our rental class C, we took it to the overlook. Since it was our fourth day we were so impressed with all of what we saw. Camping at Iditarod Park in Seward. It was incredible to camp right on the water and see the snow capped mountains, sipping on a cup of coffee, and watching a otter swim by us.
This is a first for us, I actually managed to watch this video on the day it came out!!!!
The glacier shots are just mental, I can’t wait to see one one day in person. The climate reminds me of the Uk a lot as well 😂
I you both will think back very fondly of this trip in the future.
🏆 yesss! The glaciers calving were so epic! We were blown away!
We will definitely remember it for a long long time!
I can imagine all this rain and clouds is reminding you of home 😂
I did the same hike to Exit Glacier in late May one year. The trail was still covered with a foot of snow and we were postholing the entire way. One of my most memorable hikes ever, but as you know seeing the glacier was worth it.
That would be quite a different experience, but yes, still totally worth it!
Yall have alot of great videos, but this was one of your best. I loved seeing the glaciers break off and the sound of them hitting the ocean was amazing. Alaska is so beautiful. If you want to get close to beauty, you really have to hike to see it, and it is really worth it. When I was younger, I wish I had hiked in the Great Smokies and in the Appalachians to really see the beauty of the mountains. I have followed you from the beginning in Texas to Alaska, what an amazing journey. Be safe, yall take care and thank you for sharing
Seeing them and hearing the sounds was so epic! Thanks, Robin!
💙💙💙Amazing video A+K! The videography was wonderful, and especially the Holgate Glacier (14:15-16:15), trio-o-otters🦦🦦🦦 (17:37), and puffins (20:10). Too bad you missed out on the BBQ, though. Thanks also for letting the scenery "speak" for itself. Can't wait to follow in your wake/footsteps!💙💙💙
The glaciers really blew us away! We felt so lucky to have clear weather, see the glaciers calving, and see all of that wildlife!
I went on the 6 hour boat ride when I was in Seward. We got to see a lot of orcas and seals.
Nice! We highly recommend any of their tours!
Your videos are so amazing!! These hikes were so beautiful & your filming of the boat ride was so great!! Thanks for letting us come along!!!
Thank you and thanks for watching as always!
Awesome job capturing the beauty and excellent job of editing. National Geographic couldn't do any better.
Thank you so much! That means a lot to us!
Words cannot fully describe how beautiful it is but it’s breathtaking…🤩🤩🤩
You got that right!
Wow. ..this trip gets better and better
You two are absolutely precious. Thanks for the video❤
Absolutely amazing 🤩 Alaska series are getting better and better. Stunning scenery everywhere, 360° and 24/7 nonstop. You guys are having the best time! I just can’t wait to see the next one!
Thank you! It’s been a fantastic trip!
Greetings from Teton National Park after spending time going through Chief Joseph Highway and The Beartooths. We have been fortunate to have great weather and spectacular views of the Tetons. As I’m sitting at Jackson Lake Lodge watching your latest adventure, I said to my husband; “we need to go to Alaska !” You have provided us with so much inspiration to explore ! Thank you so much. From your Oregon Buddy 😊
No doubt about it, you DO need to go to Alaska.
Oh that’s beautiful country up there! We hope you’re enjoying it! Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
Wow again! Keep it up, I can’t wait for the next edition.
Amazing!!!! Glaciers, hikes, and whales!!!! Loved it!
Y’all knocked this out of the NP!! This helped me gain so much more perspective on this NP. I did not realize you could take a day boat ride to see all of these glaciers. For some reason I thought you had to be on a bigger Alaskan cruise. Thanks again for all your hard work preparing the way for all of us!!!
If you're really adventurous you can take a water taxi to Aialik Bay and several days kayaking there. I did that a few years ago with friends.
@@tacrewgirl That sounds amazing! We love to go kayaking!!😊
The boat ride is a bucket list activity when you go!
That would be a ton of fun!
I love how blue some of the glaciers are. The signs with the years on them really put it into perspective.
We are now obsessed with glaciers!
Breathtaking! Don’t have other words for it. I’m loving it! Can’t wait for your next one. As always, be safe. ❤️
Thank you! We have a hard time with descriptions and adjectives too! 😂
Your video is so well done...did the Kenai Fjords trip 4 years ago and it was awesome...we were lucky to see one big chunk come down...you certainly had a stellar day! Our friend, who has lived there since he was a boy kept asking me do you think this boat trip is worth it? I looked at him like he was insane and said, uh yeah. You live here, you're used to this. I was in awe of the state's beauty.
As someone who moved here a few years ago, I can attest that most locals do not do the "touristy" stuff. They stick to what they did growing up whether that was hiking, fishing, boating, hunting, ATVing, etc. To them, why pay money for a tour. But every time I've taken a local friend on a trip they are awed and want to return with their family.
I tell them there's a reason people are spending $2-4k/person for a week up here.
Thank you! As we've driven around the state we have kept thinking to ourselves, "the people who live here get to see this stuff EVERY DAY, do they think it is as awesome as we do?!" We've done tons of driving and seen a decent amount and the driving goes by so fast because the scenery is amazing!
That makes sense! It's kind of like that phenomenon of taking this for granted because you grew up with it. As someone who's lived here for a few years, are you still amazed by the scenery?
This was such an amazing vlog!😍Wow! I want to visit Alaska now more than ever. Those otters were so cute!
Thank you! You gotta get up here when you can!
Oh. My. Gosh! EPIC! Thank you so much! I watch all your videos but this one has to be my favorite thus far! I’m loving the longer video also! Once again thanks!
Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
Loving watching your Alaskan adventures! Every time I think you’ve seen the most beautiful place, you find more!
Lots of good stuff coming up! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Flora, Fauna and Fun! Another epic journey that makes me want to fly to Alaska tomorrow. Seals, Otters, Marmots and beautiful blue glaciers! Beautiful video!
Thank you!
So glad I found this wonderful channel!!
Just driving through Alaska is ridiculously beautiful. It's like a constant postcard for the eye.
You got that right!
Legendary video! Your videography is amazing you do a great job of showing the land and wildlife while also telling a story. Keep up the great work 👏
Thank you so much!
So beautiful. Thanks for sharing!!
Whoa! Awesome capture of the glacier ice falling!!
I loved this video! Amazing footage. I got to hike to Harding Ice field in 2016. We were blessed with a rare, sunny day. It still remains the most incredible sight I have ever seen. Thank you for allowing me to relive it through your video.
Ya it blew our minds! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Couldn’t agree with you more. Alaska is so beautiful you can feel it! ❤️🌲🏔
Yes! Thanks for watching!
Gorgeous video, guys! We are loving your Alaskan adventures. Keep ‘em coming!
Thanks and thanks for watching!
I visited Exit Glacier on my 2012 Alaska trip. Have a photo from the same angle as yours, at 4:45, that really shows the change! Keep up the great videos and safe travels!
It's pretty wild to see! Thanks and thanks for watching!
This was beautiful. I am lucky to have visited Alaska, it really is unbelievable to see these blue glaciers and the pure clean air were all the wildlife can be spotted. 🌻🐕🇺🇸
The glaciers have blown us away here! It’s our new favorite thing in nature!
Another video chalk full of awesomeness. Love it! You guys are such an inspiration. Can’t wait to do this next year.
Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
This was freaking amazing!!!!! I got all choked up at the beauty of it all...thank you!
We were amazed as well!
One of your best videos. The boat tour looked amazing, and the ice field hike was so epic. Thanks for sharing your Alaska adventure
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Wowsers!! Talk about seeing a lot of calving! AK is just amazing! And you got to see Puffins in the wild! A truly great video! Thank you for taking us along! ❤❤
The puffins and calving were so amazing! Thanks!
That coffee shop view is incredible. Doing a boat tour of Kenai National Park has been on my bucketlist. So glad to see you get to do that as well. All that wildlife (seals, whales, puffins, sea otters!!) was so cool. I laughed out loud when Adam said both of you were covered in "dampness."
That was such an amazing experience on the boat ride!
Ya we wanted to use the "m" word, but we know that bothers some people 😂
OMG! The views that y'all captured in this video have to be some of my favorite so far! 😍 I love y'all's channel! ❤
Thank you so much!
Loving and look forward to all your videos. Am really loving this set of videos on Alaska.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
You guys have the best videos. It makes us want to be wherever you travel and explore. Thanks for sharing and all your hard work and fun.
Thank you so much, Bob!
Looks so amazing, I can't imagine what it looks like in person. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
❤️❤️
Wow how awesome was that boat trip. Glad you captured the glacier splashing in the water. Thank you for taking me along. I'm so excited for you guys and getting to go to Alaska. What an epic trip
We were so stoked when we saw the glacier calving!
The glaciers were beautiful! Amazing.
It was such an awe inspiring sight!
Such beautiful footage!! Every episode is stunning!
❤️❤️ thank you!
Once again another amazing video from you two! 🗻
Thank you!
Another GREAT video! Just like being there! I'm not a traveler, so it's especially neat to see all the amazing things you are seeing and doing. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Bless you on your way.
Thanks, Chris!
Really enjoyed today's segment. Fabulous scenery, thank you so much for sharing your experience.
Thanks, Paul!
I live here and am enjoying your videos! Nice work. FYI if in Anchorage today, up on O'Malley about a block from Lake Otis is the Greek Orthodox Festival and the food is great. It's worth checking out if you have time.
Agreed. The food, music, and community is always fun.
Oh that would be so fun to check out! One of our goals in our future travels is to partake in more local events like that! Thank you!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Moose Pass Summer Solstice festival- It's not the biggest one, but has music, food, beer and an auction...I think it's always the 3rd weekend in June. They have a FB page. Hope to see you there one day!
Great great video! I love to watch your videos because they give me ideas of the places I should visit. Outstanding job guys 👍🏻
That’s awesome! Thanks and thanks for watching!
We are planning a trip to AK now... as good as your series is your website is amazing! so much content, detail and so much help!! Thank you !
That means a lot to us! Thank you so much for watching and reading! ❤️❤️
Amazing 3 days you had in Kenai!! 🤩🌟❤️🌟🤩
👍❤️
Woo hooooo!
Now I am so happy that you finished the Harding Ice Field hike for me so I could see the very top. We made it over half way but were not prepared with food and water and had to turn around. You are absolutely right, you can't visit Alaska just once. We are going back next summer. Loved your boat tour and everything about your trip. I know Kona was happy to see you.
As someone who lives here and worked in tourism a few seasons, I would always tell guests that you need at least 4 trips all at least 10-14 days each to appreciate this state and even then that's just a small bit. We're 2.5x the size of TX and maybe only 15% is accessible by car. The rest requires plane and/or boat.
An RV is the best way to see the road system. A cruise is the only way to see Southeast/Inside Passage. And money, time, patience, and local connections are the only way to see and experience the interior.
Honestly, if you have the time, work seasonally or volunteer in exchange for room and board. You meet great peeps and have amazing memories over several months. Quite a few teachers do this in the summer. Get paid and get to adventure daily at work and on your off days.
That hike was a doozy! We were thankful we made it to the top and were able to see the views we had! It was a completely different world up there! We know we'll be back to Alaska many more times! Kona was very happy to be back with us! Thanks, Judith!
We're starting to understand all of this now too! It's been great to be here in our van as that provides the most flexibility. We stuck to car accessible sites and attractions for this trip. In future trips we'll definitely be taking to the skies so that we can see more. And then another trip to get to the Inside Passage!
Oh that is a super good idea for teachers to come up here for the summer!
great video for getting so many info about the Seward that I am planning to visit soon. I can save times with your video.. the Harding Icefield trail and 7.5 hrs boat trip are very useful.
Awesome! Glad we could help! Lots more Alaska content on our website!
This is one of your best adventures yet! Your Alaska content has been so awesome to follow.
Thank you! ❤️❤️
My daughter and I were in Alaska in 2013 and we visited Seward and hiked to the exit glacier. We also traveled to some other places. Alaska is just beautiful!! Thank you for sharing your videos!
That’s awesome! It is such a wonderful place! Thanks for watching!
Oh my! That is amazing. I felt like I was in that cruise ship with you guys. What a nature. The sceneries and wildlife. ✌
It was such an amazing cruise!
OMG These views are unbelievable. Thank you for sharing.
❤️❤️
Love this so much! Yay Alaska
Woohoo!
I first visited Exit Glacier in 1980, one year after moving to Alaska. I left Alaska in 2004 but return frequently to visit friends and family. Took a drive to Seward in 2019 and swung by Exit Glacier. Took the hike and was stunned by how far it had retreated in 39 years! In my short 25 years in Alaska, one didn’t need to consult climate data to know the Arctic and other Alaska climate zones were warming. It was noticeable almost year by year! As a pilot, I also watched with dismay the profound retreat of the glaciers.
Yes it is a bummer to witness!
Probably one of my favorite videos from you guys. My family loves catching up on A+K videos after dinner. Your videos inspired us to go to Vermont and New Hampshire this fall. Then hopefully Alaska soon!! Your channel definitely deserves more views ❤
Thank you and thanks for watching!
We hope y'all have a great trip! Check out our website where we have guides and itineraries to Vermont and New Hampshire. Maybe they'll help in your planning!
Beautiful video, had to watch it on the big tv. Totally want to go back now! So glad you got to see some whales and the calving. It is a surreal experience. Thanks so much for sharing! ❤️
The calving was 🤯! We need to watch this on Kathryn’s parent’s big screen when we get back home!
I love the way you incorporate landscape views and narrative clips into your videos! It's something I hope to replicate in my own videos-- thank you so much for the inspiration. As always, job well done and can't wait to watch the next one! 🌞
Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
I’m glad you made it to the Harding Ice Field. I did that in the early 90’s no register, no hut then but I am absolutely startled as how the ice has retreated. Exit Glacier used to be further down and the Ice Field was basically right below you on the trail. (Now I have to dig out all my Alaska pictures) I’ve been hiking all over the west and southwest and the Harding Ice Field was one of those very special places that was just memorizing! Anyone who is adventurous should have this on their list and yes it is a difficult hike. Great job with this video.
The Ice Field really blew us away! We agree, if you can get up there you definitely should!
The Harding Ice field hike is one my favorite hikes! Love your videos!
It's one of ours now too! Thank you!
Love watching your travelling videos , lots of information on each trip . Wish we could travel like this but your videos are the next best thing .
We are lucky and grateful we get to do what we do! Thanks and thanks for watching!
You know it’s going to be epic episode when Summer Eyes starts playing!!
Haha it’s a banger 😂
Wow, so much fun and awesome
Thank you!
Absolutely stunning! Great job!
Thank you!
Absolutely incredible 👏 🙌 😍 ❤️
Beautiful!😍
Awesome! Thanks for Sharing!! I Love Alaska!! Been there 4x's!! 🤗♥️🙏🏼
Thanks and thanks for watching!
Hello Adventurers, this was an AWESOME watch! Alaska is amazing with icefields and glaciers. That Seward area is so AMAZING. OUTSTANDING VIDEO👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍!
We were blown away by the area and boat ride! Thank you!
