Wow. After I left JW I also went into new age. But then I day I tried a christian church. It took years (over 10) but I finally came to Christ. Thank you LORD that you called my name.
Thank you for sharing your story. I too am an exJW and searched for God everywhere. I went to AA. (If anyone in the meetings said the name Jesus, I would not be alive today.) At 25 years clean and sober, I found the Lord and I gave Him my life. He changed my heart. He exchanged my desires for His desires. I praise God for the new life he gave me 7 years ago.
I had been a witness since 1989, I've been out since 2015 but not awakened until I went to Celebrate Recovery with my husband, he is a recovering alcoholic.....what a powerful program, for just hurt people, this video is so encouraging for those that are trying find a way out and to Jesus...thank you so much
My wife and I had watched the first episode and were praying for this very humble and sincere man. We were blown away by this second part. It really was a heart warming and God glorifying story, the fact that he and his wife are now our brother and sister is so wonderful. You all are sharing truly inspiring truth to a world that really needs it!! God bless you all :)
I was raised as a JW. My family ended up walking away from the religion when I was 14 (not disfellowshipped just walked away)I’m now 31 and to this day I still struggle with religion/Church and what is right or wrong. I’ve tried to go to other churches but there’s always that thought of this is wrong and it’s false religion. Those ties are HARD to break and I completely understand where this man is coming from. I commend him for being able to push past it. It’s not an easy thing to do.
It sure is difficult. The JWs really participated in twisting everything I ever believed in. To this day , I haven't stepped foot back into a church & I'm just left feeling spiritually abused .
They don’t talk about repentance in these cultish religions this guy is a prime example because he never mentioned repentance in his testimony for healing and deliverance. 1 John 1:9
I am curious about something- is the watchtower aware of their deception? Or are they just as indoctrinated as the members? Do they truly believe in what they teach as well? Or do they have a reason or incentive to be trying to deceive others?
Excellent conversation! I was Jehovah's witness until about 16 years old. Baptized at 13, knew I was in the wrong place within a couple of years. Spent 30 something years just wandering the world, then at 47 I was brought to the real Christ of the Bible. Praise God! This whole conversation was packed with events that mirror my own experience. Thank you Lots for revealing the true gospel In so many ways for so many people. 😊❤️🙏
Just left JW's 9 months ago. Have been watching many pastors reprogramming myself. David Pawson, love him and others. Also believe in the Trinity now, never felt such a peace come over me! Don't have a church in my area...nothing except JW's, Mormon, Catholic. I'm out in the Country???
Joyce Bippus Hey, I don’t know where you live, but you could either get in contact with a pastor who is looking for a church to pastor, and have him plant a church in your area, or you may have to move. It’s so amazing though that you are desiring to join a Biblical church! Glad to have a new brother if you are trusting in the finished work of Christ.
God bless all of you. I know this is an old episode but, God is so good all the time. He does not disappoint. Your testimony is anointed. He does a good work in us and will carry it out to the day we meet our Lord Jesus Christ. Bless all your families!and may our heavenly fathers presence continue to be upon you.
Exjw now born again. I have such a very similar story , alcohol dependant . Trauma in the org. Disfellowshipped Reinstated While still in the cult I saw a bright light when I begged God for a sign if I was annointed as I kept having dreams of going to heaven. There was a war in my head because I doubted and thought I was crazy. 20 years past. Woke up Spent a year very lost A friend lead me to Jesus Praise the Lord I'm now attending a baptist church Praying for my family Thank u so much brother for sharing
Amazing testimony. Praise God for your new life of Christ. Prayers for you and Amy. May God bless you both & help you grow spiritually. I’m so happy for you. ✝️
Wow, I learned a lot about JW's hearing this testimony. It's similar to mine. I was raised devout Catholic and I wanted to be good and please my parents, and I was a natural at it. At age 18, I became devastated and depressed after I lost my virginity (had just entered an abusive relationship.) Knowing I had sinned against my family and Church, I hated myself. (Notice I had no relationship with God, no knowing I was already a sinner in His eyes!) I resigned to being a good martyr by staying with the abuser for few years. Finally , I got out of the relationship and I also left the Catholic church. I reasoned my deep shame was causing me to have an eating disorder and depression. So, now that I was "damaged goods", never having felt forgiven, I wanted peace so badly. I dove deeply into New Age for 20 years. I spent tons of money on it and even devoted 2 years meditating with a yoga cult on a mountain in NC. By age 38, when I was at the end of myself and wanting a divorce and wine became my only happiness. I was desperate for change, I began to cry out to God for His truth. Boy, He began to show me. He sent me some Christians here and there. Scripture verses too. I hated it at first. I didn't reject it totally because I noticed a strange phenomenon happen whenever I would hear scripture verses (KJV.) I physically felt strong urges to vomit or run to the toilet. Yet, I kept reading and praying to God for help because I started to question all my beliefs. Jeremiah 17:9 and Romans 3 put me over the top! I began to repent. I also repented of my UNBELIEF in God's word. God answered! He sent me more Christians and I heard the true gospel for the first time in my life - 1Cor 15:1-4 I finally got saved! I became born again. Old things did pass away and behold, all things became new! No one did this to me. I did not do it to me. God changed me. I love to read His word and I need to fellowship with fellow beliers. I am so grateful every moment I remember how much mercy God has given me. Good people go to hell. It's only the saved sinners who make it to heaven. I am not "predestined", nor did God "elect" my soul to get saved. God gives every soul free will. There's nothing special about me and God will do just fine without me. I have Jesus' precious blood as my covering and that's the only thing God will accept into heaven. Praise Him!! On a side note...I do cringe when I see professing Christians sporting tons of tattoos. Does God chasten you about that? (Lev 19:28, 1 Thess 5:22.) Not saying to adhere to the laws, but, they do school us about what God hates. And here I sit as a Keyboard Christian Critic...sigh... Thanks for your effort in putting this interview together.
As a former 32nd degree Mason when I hear about the things done in the services or read some of the doctrines of JW or Mormonism it reminds me a lot of Masonic ritual. We know that there is a masonic connection with Mormonism, but is there one with JWs?
Many people claim this is the case of JWs. Research Charles Taze Russell the founder of JWs. He believed in pyramidology and his tombstone is in the shape of a pyramid and many symbols of the Watchtower had to do with Masonry
@@dantoinettetaylor1663 I think if we look back within just 50 years, it appears that many Masons thought that being a Mason did not conflict with being a Christian. I even thought this for a time. Then as I got further into it and what they were telling people, I soon realized that it is not or cannot allowable as a Christian; had to make a choice - I chose Jesus.
You can with out a doubt be JW and be a Mason. This video is a propaganda video creating lies about JW. I was raised JW and I still am. They say there is a pastor. Never has been. They have elders. It is many woman and men that hold sermans every week. The goverment wont allow it a religion because of tax money. Members hold meetings at there homes if they choose. You use your vehicle for the Kingdom Hall. By doing so most members would not have to pay home taxes and taxes on the vehicles if they made it a religion. The goverment will always keep it as a cult because every American would join because of these benefits. It sad but true. Just an insight why it is a cult.
@@bangarang1333 It's a cult because it is HERETICAL and DENIES CHRIST, that Jesus is God!! It CHANGES the Bible. (I am close to someone who reada the Bible in Greek, your version is NOT accurate). The government doesn't say you're a cult, most people don't even realize you are. GOD'S WORD says you guys are heretical. You follow a false prophet, INSTEAD of God.
Praise God. This brother's testimony really resonates with me except instead of JW it was Assemblies of God Pentecostalism. I tried filling that void with everything but God for twenty years but eventually came to surrender to Jesus. So many unholy things are part of my story but it's amazing how the Lord used everything to bring me to him in the end. Hindsight, like you said. It was a JW coworker that got me into reading the bible again ironically enough.
My grandmother is a Jehovas witness. When I was 13 I went to stay with her in HI for 6wks. At the time I was studying different religions trying to find my way, and she introduced me to the elders and I started attending all the meeting with her; including Bible studies and watchtower meetings at people's houses etc. In the end I made her question her own beliefs because of my questioning of their beliefs and the contradictions. Even though I was hauled before the elders with my questions (to which they had little answers), my grandmother was still a member last I heard, but she had moved to 2 other states since I left her 17yrs ago. Haven't heard from her in over 8yrs....
@@jelly7310 I've tried over the years but no one knows how to contact her anymore. She has completely cut herself off from the entire family. I just wish I would have known more and been more persuasive when I was younger and with her. I made her question it, but not nearly enough, I'm afraid. 😔 I've thought about going "undercover" because I know even my local congregation could get word to her, but I don't have the kind of time in my life to adhere to their rigorous schedules.
David Witkop II Regeneration happens after faith.... Jhn 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) All that believed would receive the Spirit after Jesus’ resurrection and ascension.... Jhn 14: 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. Jhn 15: 26 ¶ But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: Jhn 16: 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. The Holy Spirit is first given here.... Jhn 20: 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: So they didn’t receive the Holy Spirit until after the resurrection as Jesus stated in John 7. That’s well after the disciples believed, and many others as well...... Jhn 2: 23 ¶ Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did. Luk 7: 50 ¶ And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace. Even after the resurrection, faith still preceded regeneration..... Eph 1: 13 ¶ In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. Just to clarify what regeneration is. It is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.... Rom 8: 9 ¶ But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Spiritual life happens after belief..... Jhn 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. The disciples hadn’t received this life before the resurrection of Christ..... Jhn 14:19 ¶ Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. Peter hadn’t yet been converted..... Luk 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. (Matt 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.) God bless
David Witkop II They’re part of a cult themselves that claim that God arbitrarily chooses some for salvation but most for damnation. They claim that regeneration happens before faith. They’re obviously wrong but cults always have glaring contradictions in the bible. God bless.
Thank you guys for this video. I am a reborn believer. I am saved by grace thru faith in Jesus Chrsit alone and not of my own so no one shall boast! I have a JW trying to convince to read a book and talk with his wiofe blah blah blah... I tried to share your video he calls it gossip. So anyway I am praying for this man his wife and their religious lies.. Thank you again.
We look forward and are to encourage one another in Jesus Christ’s arrival the rapture not doomsday. 1 Thessalonians 4:17-18 “After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.”
Before I even got to the part of the podcast where you discussed idols, i was thinking in my head about getting rid of a huge stone buddha which was a gift. I have been preoccupied with the plan to sell my house and moving for a new start for my daughter and i
Thank you so very much for your testimony. I get to meet a lot of JW home educators so this gives me more or better insight. I feel it needs to be stressed that God saved 'in spite of the AA' which is not a Christian organisation from what I checked (more RC influenced if anything). But, yeah, God bless you and your family and may you both continue to abound in the knowledge of Christ 😊
Its so unfortunate, but I myself left the JWs years ago. Unfortunately, I find myself feeling spiritually abused & still unable to go to church. I don't believe that I've given up seeking God, just slower at finding His people & fellowship that we all need to grow. JWs have called me a " lost lamb" before & I guess I am. I just hope & pray God helps show me what to do next. Thanks for this video .
Would you mind answering a few questions? I come from a Catholic upbringing. If JWs believe that there is s set amount of people who will be saved at armageddon & there is no "heaven " then what is the point? So happy you are on your journey to move forward.
@@jelly7310 I am certainly not an expert on the Catholic faith. Catholics don't not take the bible as the literal word of God. God inspired the bible. We are baptized at birth. We have certain sacraments throughout our lives that bring us move fully into the church. There is no belief that someone has to be "saved". Jesus' sacrifice is what saved us.
One of the biggest issues I have with organized religion is that they judge people who don't follow their rules. I can only imagine the pain you feel. I don't think a church is needed for a relationship with God. Maybe a therapist could help you with the emotional trauma you experienced & once you start to understand what they did you the rest will follow.
@@mariasonderman5785 then why did Jesus take the bible as the literal word of God? Jesus said to repent and be baptized for the remission of sin in Acts. How can a baby repent? How can a baby turn from it's sinful ways before it has sinned? Where are these sacraments in the bible? Who came up with them? Why did Jesus say to look out for false prophets preaching a different Gospel than He taught? Where do you get purgatory from? How many prayers and hail Marys does it take to send an already deceased person on into heaven? Why did Jesus preach about being born again and receiving the Holy Spirit? Does a baby recieve the Holy Spirit at their baptism? I have a few catholic friends and they just get mad when I ask them these legitimate questions. I'm not catholic, can I still go to heaven? Will I go to purgatory even though I know nothing about it and can't find any sacraments in the Bible? Why does the Bible say one thing and Catholics say something completely different? I'm asking these questions from my heart. Not trying to be mean or anything like that. My catholic friends do admit to not reading the Bible for themselves or even taking it to church with them. They just take the priests word on it.
Thank you for sharing your story. We certainly all have a story of how we came to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I have been a Christian for over 40 some years now and I wouldn't trade that in for anything else. All I can say now is read your Bible daily as this will keep you in the truth and keep you from being deceived again. It is so easy to get deceived, my daughter was raised in church but when she became older she had stepped into the New Age Movement, which could have been detrimental to her health because a few times throughout her experience of being in the New Age Movement she was suicidal. I must also mention that she has extreme PTSD, is bipolar/Schitzo-affective, and borderline personality, which I believe caused her to be vulnerable to the New Age teachings. She was in the psyche ward on and from 2014 to 2019, the last time she was in; however, was only to help her regulate her meds. I am so thankful that the Lord hears the prayers of parents because I continually prayed for her as well as my brothers and sisters from church, we continually prayed for her and a few years ago she came back to the Lord and was re-baptized in 2019. I am so thankful. She still has a long way to go but she is on the right track now, she lives with me and we pray together, we do devotionals together and most importantly we love the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only way to get to God and I am so glad to hear that you are out of this organization. I have the book "Kingdom of the Cults," by Walter Martin. I love it and am re-reading it as I had it a long time ago but it was lost or something, I don't remember. I have it back and am reading it again and taking a lot of notes. I just saw another cult that is out there called the World Mission Society Church of God, this one is totally a bad cult and I am praying for their members to get out because it is not Biblically sound, pray for them.
The 12 steps are all based on scriptures. I was a Christian long before I started going to AA and you see that a huge chunk of the the big book is bible based. All of the concepts and precepts are Christian based. Even the whole sponsor thing is based on having a discipleship partner in Christ. It was changed to "a god of your own understanding" because it was originally based on the Oxford Group(which claimed to be non denominational)but it sprang from the Lutheran denomination so you couldn't be a Jew or Catholic or Atheist or Agnostic or Baptist or Calvinist or Muslim and join AA but they realized that everyone needs a shot at sobriety.
Great interview! I saw both parts. Praise Jesus! I have studied the WTS in order to understand my mother in law who is a JW. But, I have a question for Apologia Studios. I have heard you guys say "the church" a lot, and I'm wondering what you interpret "the church" to be. You mentioned Matt 16:18. In Matt 16 Jesus is clearly establishing a church. What is "the church" you talk about? The bible says that "the church" "is the pillar and foundation of truth" (1 Tim 3:15) So what church? Your church? What makes Jeff Durbin's interpretation of scripture better than any other?
Lol.. He’s surprised he’s now a Baptist, but than mentions believing in the “elect” and “predestination.” I couldn’t stop laughing and thought.. “Dude...forget about the fact that you’re now a Baptist, you’re now a CALVINIST!” From Jehovah’s Witness....to Calvinist! Lol Sorry just found that really funny and awesome! Welcome to the club brother!! Lol Praise God!!
A great testimony and very encouraging. It might just be a British thing but I found Jeremiah's interjections a little irritating at times. I was thinking, 'Just let him speak this is great'.
It's a gentle constructive feedback. I know it's needed to moderate, pace and keep the conversion on the right track. The whole thing was great from all men. Its also helpful to look and think about what could be better.
Why dont you use Gods name? Jehovah! It is odd people dont use his name. Is that not the perfect way to lead an evil sacrilegious life! Denouncing Jehovahs name is an evil act by money Hungary new age Christian's. The same Christians who rewrote the bible saying gays are okay now.
When you said you have to give the jws credit for their "passion" in preaching... Please do not equate "obligation" with "passion". If a jw doesn't "preach", he/she is considered "inactive", and therefore is "marked" as "spiritually weak", and "bad association". If you ask a jw if they enjoy the preaching work, and they give an HONEST answer, they will say "NO". They are pressured week in and week out to preach.
This dude should check out Leighton Flowers because he keeps touting regeneration, but I think he means it in a Calvinistic, gnostic, fatalistic way, which is not Biblical. He is at least moving in the right direction. Soteriology 101 is a good place to learn about the true gospel.
@@gigiis526 No he is not. If you by "arminian" you mean "non-Calvinist", then yes, but not all Non-Calvinists are Arminian. Arminius was more of a Calvinist than most "Calvinists" today. Leighton Flowers holds to Provisionism, which is very in line with what the Bible teaches ie. "Humble yourselves", "God gives grace to the humble", "Repent", "Become like a child", "To them that received Him", "Died for the sins of the whole world", "Reaches out His hands all day long" (To the unrepentent), "But they were not willing to come to Jesus", "Why won't you turn and live", "Choose this day whom you will serve", "They rejected the will of God for themselves", "This thing didn't even enter into the mind of God", "God does not tempt any man", "God is not desiring any to perish", "Even denying the Lord who bought them", etc. He is a Bible guy and rightly explains the "proof texts" of Calvinism because he was one for 10 years.
What do u think about it? I am not religious but my grandfather was reading these exact chapters when I was visiting over this past weekend and I thought it was pretty coincidental that u mention it so curious what u think.
I think it's important to keep the book of Daniel in the original context it was written in. A lot of American heretics went wild with Daniel in the 19th century and tried to predict the end of the world, and their descendants have been scrambling to save face ever since.
@@juhfreak Thanks for the info. From what I know they are in the Catholic bible but were removed in others. Is that right? Very interesting. I definitely want to give it a read now. Thanks.
people can see this about the Jehovah's Witnesses and it's true but how about your own church.how close to God are they the people that you worship with every Sunday.with all the new age and secularism that has entered into the church.I have to ask which God are you serving the God of yahshua or the God of this world.
Hello, I would like to see where the 5th step of AA was based on the book of James? I know that the Oxford group's Steps were more biblical based … could that be what you are referring too? could you give me a good resource?? I work in a Recovery Ministry and unfortunately we are always walking some gray lines within the secular rooms of recovery. Any opportunity to point someone to Christ from the "CULTISH" practices of AA is a great opportunity I would say. ( I know the Emmet Fox book on the Sermon on the Mount was a heavy influence as well ). I have a very similar testimony and I believe AA was a good place to gain some peace from my struggles in order to get to a sober minded state that would allow for me to better process the message of the Gospel for regeneration to take place. So glad for you and your wife!
Church and gathering together of believers doesn't have to be in a church building. Pastors are not spiritual guardians of our souls.. Yeshua is. Fellowship can happen in our homes like the small groups of the earliest churches.
Yes that's true. But if you're using it to pursue/spread other heretical beliefs/teachings such as Hebrew roots (which your reference to Jesus as "Yeshua" implies you're involved in), then it's no different than these heretical cults that meet im buildings.
Sin is to miss the mark. If i keep shooting to know God but keep missing, i sin. But I am forgiven for it. If theres a critique I have for both parts of this, coming from a former witness, there seems to be a level of absolute knowing now as opposed to then in this podcast. I couldnt disagree more about the predetermined part for example. But what do i know...
I done’t understand religious tear down videos. I do understand exposing hypocrisy. Our main goal as imitators of Jesus, is to provide waters of truth and messages of hope. Through this we expose false religion. When we do attempt to expose falsities, we provide a true message of hope. We don’t pull people away with out offering a place of spiritual piece. If all our effort is in tearing different religions down, how are we a light in a dark world. This is not the work of Christ. First, find what you would call the true spiritual truth then allow that to condemn. Remember that is how Jesus was murdered. They just kept finding fault, but never did they provide a spiritual haven. Imitate Jesus, focus on providing a faith based on Gods word of truth. Let him focus on condemning. Maybe then can we effect spiritual change and growth - [ ] #truthwillsetallfree
I really like the content and Christian character of all persons on this panel. However the primary interviewer excessively uses the word “like” which distracts and detracts from good communication.
I really think y’all need to correct people about Christ telling them it’s okay to go explore the New Age and that they will be protected. That is not Christ, that is a false light. I have heard two people now on your show claim that God told them it was okay. I really think you should correct the record for their sake and your viewers. God does not tell us to go sin and pursue occult practices and that we will be okay. Obviously God is merciful and protected them, but that was not the Lord that told them to go on and pursue false religion
Excellent testimony. However, I think you're overstretching the concept of predestination here. Everyone has the same opportunity to be saved as far as the law of fairness goes. Free will is real. You are elect when you accept the gift of salvation. End of story.
I don’t want to hurt any JW but I would love to chug that whine at there memorial service . The last thing I wanted to do was go to a church. I started back by going to go to Bible Study Fellowship.
I took a 1933 bible, a 1975 bible and 1998 bible. I compared scriptures and they are completely different book to book. I am JW and I believe men need to stop manipulating Jehovahs word for profit. Just like the word God. His name is Jehovah. Why would God not have a name like Jesus. It is sacreligious and evil to not call God by his name. Think about it logically... it is the reality version of evil happening in modern day Christianity.
Dude.. you lost me with your comment that many of the spiritual paths your guest was exploring was “steeped in demonic practices”... Seriously?? What do you think the “laying on of hands” is? REIKI. Where did Jesus learn that? Hindu Gurus.

@@sissyrayself7508 Its okay to disagree Felicity. We are never going to agree on everything. The early Christians who had a weaker conscience because they came out of pagan religions felt that eating certain meat used in Pagan animal sacrifice was wrong. Paul says not to destroy people's faith by what you eat or serve, which I agree fully. The meat was literally offered to Pagan idols and Paul says that this means literally nothing in reality, but we need to lovingly respect a weak conscience. It happened to offend certain "weaker brothers" who had a weak conscience about the issue. I can see no real difference with my weaker brothers or sisters who view Yoga as worship to Hindu gods. They are wrong in most cases, but they are free to have a more sensitive conscience and it is okay for it to be wrong TO THEM. I would never promote Yoga at a church for that reason, but I am free to do Yoga and my wife is free to do Yoga. We are mature enough to know that we can pray to Jesus while doing yoga, love Jesus while doing yoga, and benefit from the physical benefits Yoga provides without any false worship going on. There is literally no Hindu worship in our practice of Yoga and literally no harmed conscience when it comes to this issue for us - we are free from that burden. You may want to not do Yoga because for YOU it is wrong. I can't stand when people push their convictions on me like the brother in the video as if I am now practicing Hindu worship when in fact, I am not. I recommend you study Romans 14 in particular and other passages where Paul speaks about disputable matters such as these. We are free to disagree on areas like this and other areas like drinking, Rated-R Movies, smoking, tattoos, beards, vaccines, politics, how we spend money, and tithing. Everybody has different opinions on these matters and that is okay. It is not okay when we start pushing our opinions on others making them out to be demonic worshippers of Satan when they are not.

born again from 3 decades in new age, His Word found me. God bless y'all there, thank you
I was saved out of AA in 2016. While being a continuously sober member since 1997 i didn't know Jesus Christ. He saved me out of idolatry
@@nicoledmeyer I totally understand!
The jws have mind control over you still it sounds like
Excellent conversation! 😊❤️🙏
HALLELUJA JESUS CHRIST IS THE TRUE GOD AND SAVIOR AMEN 🙌
Seems kind of cultish to say that
thank you for your story. I too am a born in. I've been gone for 2 years now and it's the best decision i ever made. Finally free.
This guy is awesome! Very easy to listen to and an awesome testimony! Need to have him on the show more!
Lance Patterson good support network of us ExJWs in Christ now, message back if we can help

Praise Jesus Christ for saving Amy and her husband 🙏❤️✝️
This was great. Thanks so much for sharing.
These three men are uplifting. God bless
He sent me more Christians and I heard the true gospel for the first time in my life - 1Cor 15:1-4
I finally got saved!
Are you guys gonna do a cultish series on Islam?

Probably lol. I seem to keep coming across info suggesting they have infiltrated like everywhere lol including mainstream Christianity
Reach out to her
@@jelly7310 I've tried over the years but no one knows how to contact her anymore.

Regeneration happens after faith....
Jhn 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
All that believed would receive the Spirit after Jesus’ resurrection and ascension....
Jhn 14: 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Jhn 15: 26 ¶ But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
Jhn 16: 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
The Holy Spirit is first given here....
Jhn 20: 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
So they didn’t receive the Holy Spirit until after the resurrection as Jesus stated in John 7.
Eph 1: 13 ¶ In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Acts 5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
(Matt 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.)
God bless

This is my story as well. ❤

Fantastic !!!
@@mariasonderman5785 how are Catholics saved? I come from a baptist background but I'm not necessarily a baptist.
It's sad that all of these words resonate with me, and I grew up in evangelical church
It's so sad to know how many people are not going to make it to Heaven.
Its very simple. Jesus is the way truth and the light. No one comes to the father except through him
The 12 steps are all based on scriptures.
Why aren't all the Cultish episodes in the UA-cam playlist?
SAME QUESTION!!! I shared the playlist and now feel like a dummy because it's got maybe 8 viewable episodes on it haha
I believe they are referring to God's people all over the world. The body of Christ, His Church.
Jesus is Jehovah!
U guys should do one on the most influential cult in the world.....catholicism...

A great testimony and very encouraging. It might just be a British thing but I found Jeremiah's interjections a little irritating at times. I was thinking, 'Just let him speak this is great'.
I think it’s important in order to reinforce doctrinal points and keep the interview on track.
Your observations of this is far more irritating to me.
It's a gentle constructive feedback. I know it's needed to moderate, pace and keep the conversion on the right track. The whole thing was great from all men. Its also helpful to look and think about what could be better.
I almost thought you were interviewing Steve Perry of Journey.
Amazing video and I enjoyed this part as well. I was wondering what was the movie he watched with his wife that changed her perspective?

Thank you! I’ll take a look at it.
Did he ever say if his family had shunned him or not?
Remember Loyal love GOD is love 🙏✌️
Good point. Thanks for clarifying.
I was a jw for 10 years . I never felt preaching as a obligation.
What do you think about Daniel Chapter 10 and 11 🙏✌️🔥
What do u think about it? I am not religious but my grandfather was reading these exact chapters when I was visiting over this past weekend and I thought it was pretty coincidental that u mention it so curious what u think.
I think it's important to keep the book of Daniel in the original context it was written in. A lot of American heretics went wild with Daniel in the 19th century and tried to predict the end of the world, and their descendants have been scrambling to save face ever since.

Maybe then can we effect spiritual change and growth

I really like the content and Christian character of all persons on this panel. However the primary interviewer excessively uses the word “like” which distracts and detracts from good communication.
Cool two-part exJw interview, but OUCH on that Calvinist mindset.
Someone needs to tell him soulmates dont exist
Excellent testimony. However, I think you're overstretching the concept of predestination here. Everyone has the same opportunity to be saved as far as the law of fairness goes. Free will is real. You are elect when you accept the gift of salvation. End of story.
There is non that seaketh after God, no not one Romans 3:11, mans free will is not the elector, God is.
Splitting hairs. Let's just be glad we're saved - it's a miracle!
Look at your greek interlinear and see how many times YHWH/JHVH is said in the new testament. Not the translation, but in the original Greek
Dude.. you lost me with your comment that many of the spiritual paths your guest was exploring was “steeped in demonic practices”... Seriously?? What do you think the “laying on of hands” is? REIKI. Where did Jesus learn that? Hindu Gurus.
Jesus, the guy who was raised Jewish and lived in the Roman empire but somehow learned Hindu practices...think about that for a minute
@@biblebagel2960 - according to ancient text, (you can Google ‘Nicolas Notovich’ if you’re interested in learning more…), Jesus spent his “Missing Years” - the time between his childhood and beginning of his ministry, in India studying Buddhism before returning to the Middle East and the life that Christians are familiar with from the New Testament. Hope that helps… ✌️
@@Bolzasqueet a quick Google search says that his claims of Jesus was a complete hoax.
@@biblebagel2960 - Provide your source, please? I couldn’t find any such link on my “quick Google search”, although I did find many links supporting the evidence that he did indeed spend that time in India….

Done. And even if I didn't have sources, how does that story even make any sense? The guy was raised in the Roman empire in the middle east in the 1st century . I don't know much about maps back then but I doubt they were even aware of India. And even if he was, the Jews held up their beliefs very strongly and would most likely criticize Hindus for idolatry. And if Jesus came back to to spread his Hindu beliefs, the jews would've attacked him even more than they did already for heresy.

I'm not sure I'd give them credit for spreading a false religion very well. Just doesn't sit right with me

Cool video, but you criticize AA meetings when it seems you literally know nothing about them. Please be careful brother not to criticize when you are ignorant. Just a tip. Thanks for this video though because it is very cool.
@@gigiis526 I read the article, but it seemed to conclude that some meetings sway more Catholic and some meeting may sway more New Age leaving room for some meetings may sway ultra orthodox Christian. It appears from the article that they know absolutely nothing about AA meetings either, at least nothing definitive across the board. In fact, you could pretty much write that same article about Evangelical Churches and have almost the same conclusion,....thanks for sharing. It helps me to know what to look our for, I appreciate it.
I loved AA. I am 13 years sober, I went to AA for 3 years. The Lord totally used the program to draw me to Himself. I don't feel the need or desire to go to meetings any longer, but, yes, they are so valuable! 💗
This is all great and all but this man is living in sin, according to the bible marriage is till death, and this guy was already married once, the missionary church of the disciples of Jesus Christ live according to the bible look us up guys, we are worldwide and i would love to see a segment on us,
Speaking of "goofy" and "cultish" ...when will these bearded hipsters stand on their own instead of running the "let's upload click bait YT vids where we'll parrot-attack small, off-beat non-Calvinist religious sects" meme. You don't even have the guts to leave criticism of your small sect in the YT comments section.

Yoga...seriously. Come-on. It is meat sacrificed to idols. It is not a spiritual practice at all unless you make it one. Keep it to yourself
Funny how I disagree with you on everything. Including this opinion.
Absolutely agree with you.
