Thank you so much for this. Really. I've been worrying at this for a bit now, and this guide was exactly what I needed.
Very practical, very real, very useful, many thanks for an unusually excellent explanatory video that does what it says on the tin!
Thank you for this, Glynn. I learned a couple things I didn't know how to do, like the page numbering sections and how to shut off the preview mode! I look forward to your video about tables. They have been a huge pain in the ass!
So glad they are useful. Indeed, tables in both AffP and InDesign are not intuitive to understand without some instruction. Hopefully, I’ve done enough to help :)
Wow, I did NOT know you could do that thing where you bold before a colon, I was just manually doing that. This is a great help!
Glad it was useful :)
Excellent job Glynn, very clear exposition with plenty of useful insight into your reasoning. Many thanks for sharing this.
Cheers matey :)
Thank you! This is just what I needed to bookmark this year :)
To make filler text more "compliant" ie editable like ordinary text, run it in, then: Text>Expand>Expand field. A bit fiddly, but once you know, you know
Nice tip :)
Thanks for making this. It has helped me a lot!
That great to hear :D
Thank you for making this extremely helpful and valuable tutorial Glynn!
My pleasure :)
Was thinking of setting up a zine in Affinity and WELL IF IT ISNT MY OLD PAL GLYNN. Thanks for the tutorial! I'll let you know if anything actually comes of it haha.
Good to hear from you, buddy! :D
this is awesome! Thanks so much for this!
Super helpful video thank you Glynn!
No problem at all. Glad it helped :)
Excellent. Thank you sir.
Very nice, Glyn.
It doesn't look like you are continuing making videos, but note that you recorded audio in mono, as you should, but your video editing software has it all on the left (which is the default for many video editors.) Be sure to change that so the video editing program knows mono should be in both left and right channels on export. (Not pushed to the left in stereo export.)
Love the content. Just one thing, your "subscribe" sound is super loud. Drowns out your vocie.
Nice work Glynn, but damn man, didn't provide us the template to just steal?!?! ;-)
I’ll try and remember to add a link to the Affinity Publisher v2 file in part 2 :)
I’ve added it to the description in part 2 :)
Suggestion. Make the affinity publisher the whole screen. There is no need to for us to see you. It serves no purpose. And there is no need to see that background. We are not watching this video on a 60 inch screen. Thanks.
