The only thing that screamed for change was Aston's interiors and, wow, they have returned with a vengeance. Restrained and beautifully elegant. Getting into the DB12 will be like slipping into a, modern, Savile Row suit. Hats off! Gorgeous car that is going to thrust Aston back into the forefront.

Aston Martin has just nailed it. They have done a remarkable job by creating a new evolutionary design both on the Exterior and the Interiors. It now looks like a perfect British Brand car in every essence. Definitely a perfect rival to the Porsche 911 Turbo, I am waiting for its on-road performance and it looks very promising
I like it. I bought a Ferrari 812 Superfast, and at the time was torn between that and the DBS Superlegerra - I chose the 812 because the interior of the DBS was so "old man" and the tech was two generations ago Mercedes MBUX. This DB12 is a thing of beauty, both inside and out - here's hoping the next DBS is the same!
There was definitely no love lost here when the Mercedes console was ditched for this one. It's a nice balance of tactile buttons and tech and the response of the screen is apparently leading edge too.
I like Aston Martin as a brand and I'm liking this DB12. As a package it works ; face-lift looks good , classy two door Coupe with a big boot and now the interior / user inter-face / connectivity is on point. This is a nice up-grade from DB11.......Well done Aston > 9/10

Aston Martin have nailed it with the DB12, it looks just right. If you really want to critise it then you could infer it is generic DB9, DB11, Vanquish, Vantage, shape. You can see all those cars in the design, but really that is just the Aston Martin design language and when you have cars that look this good why diverge from it too much.

Very few manufacturers give you the sleek sexy elegant, yet aggressive sporty exterior, and a classy luxury interior. Usually, it's more one of the other, but I think Aston Martin balances it all very well. I'm so happy to see the updated infotainment system. The old gen hand-me-down mercedes one was not the move and really didn't feel like it lived up to the expectations set by the exterior (and price point).

You know, I'm looking now at my 1970 DBS Vantage rear profile and there's a lot of similarity here! Which is great because the rear profile of the early DBS I think is one of the most beautiful ever styled!!
I think Bentley is in big trouble followed by Ferrari Roma and to a lesser extent 911 turbo. This bridges the gap between DB11 and DBS770, and able to do both jobs. I would say that is the end of any DBS style front mounted machines, the next up will be the mid engined vanquish. They have done a great job with this, lets hope the lights dont leak like my last 3 Vantages
How so? The Roma and 911 are much smaller cars, while the Bentley is a full sized GT, for crossing continents in extreme comfort and ease! The smaller cars are still brilliant, but don't compare when it comes to actually being a proper GT. It has the space to put all your luggage in, it's quieter and for more easy torque to make long journeys less stressful. The DB12 is definitely a step up incompetition and it's closest rival for sure.

I guess my argument is the DB11 had the GT style/credentials of the Bentley, but the change in mindset has moved it more to a drivers focused car over a GT therefore making it more like the Roma. Clearly there will never be another DBS this will be the highest performance GT or Super tourer as they are describing it. The next model up will be mid engined in the Vanquish when it arrives.

With Geely increasing their stake in Aston Martin to 50% and news that the Aston Martin F1 team will be using Honda engines in 2026 (rather than Mercedes), I wouldn't be surprised if Mercedes Benz sells their share of Aston Martin. It's telling that this new DB12 uses in-house infotainment and not an older generation Mercedes system.

Looks quality. For me, I’d still not have a touchscreen because they are shit for a car but you have to cater for the masses. And I’d like a nicely crafted rev counter. Like a decent watch. With screens either side opposed to a digital dash. But the rest is spot on for me.

basically its a nicer looking DBS on the outside. they've been talking about details that are already exist in the recent DB11,nothing exceptionally, new .the main revolution surrounds the dashboard which is truly a mega-much needed-change for Aston
I feel like the Porsche Turbo takes a sports car right up to the line where grand touring starts and just steps over. This seems to take grand touring right up to the line of sports car and just pushes past that line. Easy to see how someone would consider having either car.
You can’t say that this car is a 911 Turbo S challenger. The stats don’t even match, the Porsche still blows the Aston away with ease. Don’t get me wrong, the Aston is a piece of Art. The inside is finally matching it’s challengers, unbelivably cool looking inside and outside, I love it. But the 911 turbo S destroys it in terms of performance.

Good thing to see a vastly new and improved cabin for Aston Martin, their previous ones are just the worst compared to the competition especially to Bentley. Not the best Aston Martin grille ( 2005 AM V8 Vantage - still the best ).
Im not a big fan of the current trend of grills getting bigger and bigger, the DB11 was much more elegant and gentleman-like. But it didnt sell, so i guess they had to give in to the Zeitgeist. The interior is a huge upgrade though of course.
Maybe they’re keeping the fresh designs for the eventual shift to hybrid/electric in the DB range, but this is just a DB11 and a half with a proper interior. Like McLaren with the 750, I think they were too scared of moving the design forward and ultimately ended up with “meh, it’s just debuted but already looks out of date” syndrome.

car designs should really consider the front licence plate.
Shame they didn't use this interior in the DBS Ultimate, shame there's no V12, I get it doesn't need to be there but still V12s are a bit special.
The only thing that put me me off in AMs was their interior. This new interior is hella nice. Now back to my gen 2 Opel Astra 😅
basically its a nicer looking DBS on the outside. they've been talking about details that are already exist in the recent DB11,nothing exceptionally, new .the main revolution surrounds the dashboard which is truly a mega-much needed-change for Aston

I feel like the Porsche Turbo takes a sports car right up to the line where grand touring starts and just steps over. This seems to take grand touring right up to the line of sports car and just pushes past that line.
Easy to see how someone would consider having either car.

You can’t say that this car is a 911 Turbo S challenger. The stats don’t even match, the Porsche still blows the Aston away with ease. Don’t get me wrong, the Aston is a piece of Art. The inside is finally matching it’s challengers, unbelivably cool looking inside and outside, I love it. But the 911 turbo S destroys it in terms of performance.
Wish it had a DCT transmission because American cars like the 2020 Shelby GT500 has a DCT with 760HP. Anyway, it's beautiful 😍

Im not a big fan of the current trend of grills getting bigger and bigger, the DB11 was much more elegant and gentleman-like. But it didnt sell, so i guess they had to give in to the Zeitgeist. The interior is a huge upgrade though of course.

Maybe they’re keeping the fresh designs for the eventual shift to hybrid/electric in the DB range, but this is just a DB11 and a half with a proper interior. Like McLaren with the 750, I think they were too scared of moving the design forward and ultimately ended up with “meh, it’s just debuted but already looks out of date” syndrome.
