Great job, love the angle grinder approach ;) Those Brembo max disks are not worth their money though, had them in the Punto in the past and the grooves that were meant to allow break pad dust going away and cooling, they actually get caked with brake dust and after 6 months you will have a regular Brembo disk as all grooves will be blocked ;) Great idea with 500 calipers, I sometimes think about getting seats from abarth 500, but then why bother...
I've had the brembo max discs on the front for a year or two with no issues using Abarth 284mm calipers. They were cheap, look great and did a great job. For the rear there isn't much options anyway unless you go more expensive that is so it's a happy medium for me. Angle grinder is my best friend heh A500 seats are on my "to get" list. Just a pain having to ship em from UK. Why bother? For that Abarth privilege of course! Lol jokes aside, apparently it is comfier and in general much more appealing than the stock ones. I want the black with red stripes non sabelt version
Yup, it is a great upgrade and cheap as chips! I had refurbed my 284mm set when I had first got them. But now the rubber seal is falling apart, so figured go big or go home!
The back axle is better with a 600mm line from the chassis bracket right up to the calliper. Use four grommets and P clips or zip ties it to the axle arm. The flare nuts one the ends of the metal hoses always seize. Warm with a gas lighter and treat the bare metal to keep rust at bay. When the hard lines fail you can run braided all the way from the ABS unit. Get them made with plenty of grommets. Race cars are don that way.
I ended up making new copper lines myself. Routing the new copper line was easy, I sellotaped the copper line to the old line and bend it into shape sellotaping as I went along. I would imagine getting braided lines all the way would cost a fair penny but the copper lines work great
@@Pandamime on my panda I have a problem where the handbrake won't stay down and if I drive over a bump the handbrake light will come one and it will make a beep. It's almost as if there is a spring missing or something to keep it down. I was wondering if you have experienced this at all. Do you think I need a new handbrake cable or something? Do you know what the problem might be?
Unfortunately I do not. I am hoping to freshen up the interior soon which will involve replacing the handbrake itself, I will see what I find and I will get back to you with what I find!
Nice mod!! So if I need to put similar calipers on 16" setup spacers would be mandatory right? Also it would be great if you can share the source of the calipers (ebay/fb).
Hi Surbhit. The spacers depend on the wheels you are using. There isn't a shop of some sort for calipers like this unless you get in touch with wreckers. Sometimes seller post sets of the calipers to Facebook marketplace or if you join the Fiat Panda pages
hello exactly what diameter are the discs you have mounted? I have a Brembo 155cv mito derivation brake system, with radial calipers and 330 diameter discs, complete with bracket and everything for mounting, can you mount on the 100hp panda using 16 wheels? Thank you!
@@Pandamime thank you very much for the information, I follow you from Italy and I bought for my panda 100hp a t-jet (alfa mito 155cv) complete with wiring, ecu, body to make a swap like yours !!! Thank you!!!
Awesome I hope the swap goes well! Though just be aware that the Mito ecu is unknown if it will work with the body computer from Panda. Let me know how it goes it would be great to understand if it works correctly :)
You can fit abarth seats but the fronts need a small modification. I think the lancia ypsilon can fit without modifications. Some people have fitted the abarth Punto seats but not sure if they require modification. I think there are tutorials in the fiat forums
Torx have a nasty habit of allowing the one size smaller to appear like they fit the fastener socket. ALWAYS check the next size up before trying to loosen.
Aye tried that but sadly the rear hubs are quite rusted in. I've replaced the stupid torx bolts with normal hex bolts so I am happy if anything is required to be worked on in the future it won't be a problem
The rear calipers are seized and would cost more time, money and effort to bring back. I wanted to overhaul the rear calipers. Along with that, I hate painting, one of those things I just do not have patience for. These rear calipers cost about 75 quid, straight fit and they are 90% in good nick. The pads in the videos are actually new. I was not able to replace the rear discs because of the rounded torx bolts on the caliper carrier so I did the bare minimum. Later, I was able to refresh everything. Now I have peace of mind and sexy calipers with an extra 5HP for being red :)
I have one xD problem is, my house is like 10-15 metres away from the parking spaces. Carrying the trolley jack back and forth is such a massive pain and unfortunately I have experienced injuries already from heavy lifting :/ but you are right!

nice front brakes....i'm swapping them with the 284 variant due to the original wheels i want to keep
They do a great job. My 284 were Brembo Max discs. Looked great too!
I've just done the 284mm swap myself, cost just under £100 for everything including refurbing the calipers which were from ebay

Do the 284 brakes fit under 15” wheels?
Under the panda 15" wheels yes. Can't say for any and every other 15" wheels as they have their own shapes on the inside of the wheel

Do it heh

@@Pandamime that sounds great, I look forward to that video if you plan on doing one. Thanks for the awesome content.

Hello man great job. Caliper are brembo from Alfa 159 or Alfa Mito? Thanks
Alfa Mito as far as I remember.
Thank you, much appreciated:)

Hello, I think with the 330mm you need 17 minimum. I have the 305mm brakes and 16s are perfect

Calipers, discs and caliper bracket. Not quite sure which model it's from though 🤔

do you know what other fiat seats are bolt on in fiat panda ?

Would love to know the calipers part number and where to source the bracket?
The calipers I think are from an Alfa Mito/Giulia. It is a direct fit, no bracket was required.

And some axle stands
Turning into Abarth Panda!? 😉
Nah, social convention says it's not worthy lol
Nice video but please try to get your terminology correct when describing components
Appreciate the feedback, but could you be more specific?
Why would you want massive brakes on the front of a panda ? REALLY , from a fellow panda 100hp who knows you don’t need them 🤔
A) I have a turbo Panda so better safe than sorry.
B) I get 5HP for red calipers.
C) Why not?
