The Fiat Panda has always been the underdog. Only now people are starting to see its true potential. The true Italian car that is super in every way. Maybe not by speed, but sheer joy and handling alone. I created this channel to embrace this car. One of the most understated and surprising!

Fiat Panda 100HP TJet // Pandapter Installation!
Переглядів 8 тис.2 роки тому
Finally! The Pandapter V1.0. A year in the making. It started with my Frankenstein wiring which I wanted to replace for so long, that led me to V01. Over the year the R&D I did has gotten me to this beautiful adapter, making the Panda TJet swap one of the most easiest OEM engine swaps out there. Literally the swap is 90% plug and play thanks to the Pandapter. What does the Pandapter do you ask?...

Keeping your engine cool and lubed up is the most important thing for longevity of your car. Apart from maintenance of course. These factors are the reason I decided to swap out my OEM Fiat Bravo TJet oil cooler on my Fiat Panda 100HP. This also applies to Abarths and Puntos that use TJets (even Multiair!). Also, it is a nightmare to change filters in the Panda with this TJet because the oil fi...

Hello and welcome everybody. Today I discuss catch cans for your TJet and whether or not you really need them. Yes, this is not an Abarth or a Punto or a Bravo. It is a Panda 100HP. TJet Fiat Panda 100HP Air Intake Upgrade

Now that I have Panda driving, I've realized that it gets very hot under the bonnet (as expected to be honest). This means that the Panda 100HP keeps in a lot of heat and will heat soak the engine as hot air will enter the intake. I decided to install an Abarth 500 Ramair intake on my TJet Fiat Panda 100HP as this unit sits directly over the engine. But this still does not help as heat rises an...

Mechanically yes, electronically not fully. Airbag seems to be fine but the controls require an interface

I have fiat 1.4 multiair, can that fit on multiair
I'm sure there is a multiair variant available. I can't say whether this one definitely fits or not though
@@Pandamime for multiair is different than t jet
Bit of a strange one, I'm just curious whether you could just use the bravo ecu on the 100hp engine?
Say if I just wanted to have the option to turbo in the future via using abarth manifold
Absolutely nothing strange about that! It's what I've been currently thinking about. I think it is possible, but there needs to be a base map created. If you hop to my Facebook page I started a thread on there discussing this topic.
I think the only real problem is setting up the base map as a lot of things need to change. The Bravo ECU is torque based where as the Panda is a different style of mapping. Tuning and mapping is not my expertise even in the slightest, but I think this should definitely be possible with a tuner that knows what to do.
@@Pandamime thanks for the quick reply!
Yoo congrats bro! I remember getting mine a year back after upgrading from a G920, it was such a cool feeling haha
Thanks! :) I was contemplating start with a Logitech but I felt like I would eventually upgrade anyway so thought I would dish out! Heh
Love it! See you on the track Panda!
LETS GOOO!
Hi. What 3D printer did you use?
You can use pretty much any off the shelf printer, but it requires a decent amount of dialing in and perfecting. You can shortcut of course by spending a lot more money but there is still plenty of dialing required. I have custom made printers, but you can start from anywhere like €150 and upwards
I want to put a 1.4 t jet in my 319 panda
Been waiting a long time to see someone do that! Lol
@Pandamime yeah I'd love too, if it fits in a 500 it fits in a panda, not sure how all the electrics would work though
Does the engine cover still fit?
Personally I haven't tried it but it probably does because usually you have the decanter there anyway. Can't say for certain!
Can I have a number or email to get hold of you please
I hear the ERCF is not very reliable compared with Bambu MMU
ERCF can definitely be tricky to get right but the lastest V2 is pretty great. It definitely ironed out a lot of issues I was having
Hi there can you do custom orders ?
Hi Lee, I can! Get in touch with me on my Facebook page through private messages and we can talk about what you need!
Love the exhaust! What have you done to it?
At the time it was a straight through Magnetti Marelli 500ss exhaust and a single tip Magnetti Marelli 695ss. Both are now discontinued as far as I am aware
This is so sick! Respect for the work you put in to make this adapter. What a professional result and good explanation for the installation. Keep up the good work👍👍
Those are beautiful man
Thanks! 😊
Do you sell these anywhere?
Yes! I have an Etsy store. I will leave a link in the description of the video
@@Pandamime great I’ll go order some. 👍
@@Pandamime ordered, thank you 👍
Nice you are back :) hope the swapping going well
Me too! I'm looking forward to getting news about it. Would be great to see a 141 Panda with a 169.A3000 engine and a straight through exhaust!
Looks great! Can you provide details on what he's doing to the Panda 141, and what engine he will be using this ECU for?
The plan is to put a Panda 1.4 engine into it first. Then in the future, a TJet
Do you think there is a need for check valve before or after catch can, since its boosted engine?
What kind of check valve?
air check valve, that lets air circulate only in one way... i noticed that some people add check valves to their catch can setups @@Pandamime
In my experience it hasn't been necessary. Maybe if there is a lot of vacuum but probably not necessary for a base TJet
Ive just watched video and wondered if there is access to the heater blower resistor which is at the front top of the heater box spent half a day trying to replace it via the pedals and steering column , a nightmare to be honest any comments would be helpfull

mine is right hand drive making it v.difficult to get at because of the pedal box and steering, i think the plug is burnt also needing to be changed@@Pandamime
What is that small circular grill just above the gear knob? I want to mount a microphone and this looks idea as long as there is nothing in the way, or it is vital for some other purpose.
That grill, I think, is for the climate control. Not sure about pandas without cc though
Can I run an Abarth clutch with the original Panda flywheel and still use the 6-speed Panda box?
I would imagine no
@@Pandamime Thank you for the quick response. What would you suggest for a clutch and flywheel combination in order to retain the Panda 6 speed but handle the torque?
Plenty of people have used the basic LUK clutches. Just make sure you bed the clutch correctly. Slamming the gas on a freshly installed clutch will be a bad time
@@Pandamimethat’s awesome! I’ll go for that option! Thanks!
@@Pandamime I have ordered the clutch kit from Protoxide. Should hold quite a lot of torque.
What's this like compared to the original 100hp. Is it worth a few k already pre done or is it better sticking to the standard engine until a replacement is required ?
Hard to say. From my experience, I miss having the NA engine with the straight piped exhaust, but the feeling of the turbo engine is something else. Just depends on your budget. I would recommend to get in touch with Fettle & Finesse, not sure if they have a TJet panda for sale but maybe?
@@Pandamime can you send me a add to talk about it thanks as I'll show you there's two I have in mind :) technically 3
Hi again mate, me and mu buddy are thinking of buying a 100hp to to swap into the 1.4tjet. Did you use the 595 engine or the bravo/ punto one or are they all the same? We were thinking of getting a 595 donor car for it.
You can use an Abarth engine but you have to make sure you use a bravo TJet ecu
Please stop doing videos... you are awful!
No wayyyy, will it work with punto 2 FL sporting (same dash)
It's hard to say. Without testing I can't guarantee it. It would depend on the protocol on the body computer if it can communicate with the Bosch ME7.9.10 ECU
@@Pandamime i will get more information about similarity within this two and come back to you :D
I saw panda 100hp dash in Punto II FL sporting so i think that its doable
Hello man great job. Caliper are brembo from Alfa 159 or Alfa Mito? Thanks

Great to see things moving along dude. That racking is a god send and you've still got a decent amount of space in there aswell 👍👍 Can't wait to see videos of the panda blippin about.
I'll be honest, I recorded the videos around Jan/Feb. Now there is barely any space...
Hi, nice to see things progress. I wonder how you managed to convince the TÜV guys not having an issue with the 150HP as this is 50% more power than the original engine. Have they requested certificates for the brakes or the body strength / durability? Like to see your Panda running with TÜV on German streets, as I also like to do an engine swap on my 100HP, but for the 120HP engine because I heared that 20% power increase should be less of a problem with the TÜV guys...I hope you post an update on the TÜV issue.
I've yet to try and get through the TUV. I have thought about using another ECU that is down tuned so that there would be less chance of any issues with TUV. Potentially also reducing my emissions
Awesome ! I wish I had seen your posts before I got rid of my 2002 169 with duel sunroofs because of the duel logic tranny gave out. know body knows how to work on it here in Austria and was always quoted that its to old of a car and if they would it, it would far far far exceeded the price of the whole Panda and a new one. So I got a new old 20012 Panda 312 Lounge, with standard shift lol but it also has a rare duel sunroof which is unheard of here for a 312. Keep up the awesome work and look forward to seeing all and future.
Are the airbag plugs the same?
Can't say for every airbag but from what I have seen, models of 500 around the same age are the same plugs. Some model cars came with two plugs (2 stage air bags) so can't say which plug you would use on that case
Hey!😊 Do you have a pics how it's sitting on that bilstein b12 set?
Of course! Best bet is to check out my Facebook page. It sits really well and it is super comfortable!
So how is your oil catch can doing after 2 years?
Sadly after moving to Germany and attempting to register the car there, I've had to remove the can. But I can definitely say for the time I did have the can, it has been absolutely essential! After about a month the can is filled with so much crud. I genuinely recommend anyone with a TJet, to install a catch can. It is super helpful.
@@Pandamime thanks for the reply
This guy talks for a whole 7 minutes without showing anything worth wasting time for.
Hey John, apologies but what info are you looking for exactly?
Great job
Would this work for a Mk2 punto 1.4 16v since that is the same engine as the 100HP?
This is something I've been asked before. The issue is never the engine itself, but the ecu and the pinout. Also, it is a question of whether the Punto body computer can communicate with the TJet ecu. Do they have the same protocols and IMMO code procedure to fire the ecu. Unfortunately I don't have a car with which I can test this so I can't say whether it does or doesn't sadly
Nice mod!! So if I need to put similar calipers on 16" setup spacers would be mandatory right? Also it would be great if you can share the source of the calipers (ebay/fb).
Hi Surbhit. The spacers depend on the wheels you are using. There isn't a shop of some sort for calipers like this unless you get in touch with wreckers. Sometimes seller post sets of the calipers to Facebook marketplace or if you join the Fiat Panda pages
Nice video but please try to get your terminology correct when describing components
Appreciate the feedback, but could you be more specific?
Do you have a link for the exact sandwich plate you used please pal
Ooooph it's been a while! It was through Facebook

great videos , engine mounts are from panda , did the abarth engine lay bolt on with previous100hp engine ,
What’s the advantage of the kit ? I have a standard 100hp Will it work ok , Please let me know what exhaust you’re using.
Hi John. This kit allows you to use a TJet ecu with a TJet engine without modifying any wiring. All plug and play if you plan on turbo charging your 100hp. The exhaust is ebay abarth 500 centre pipe and an Inox rear backbox
Is this possible with a panda 4x4?
Yes, people have done it but the wiring will be different
what's the rims?
Tenzo R 1.2 I think is the name
You can touch the positive cable onto something metal to discharge anything once the cable is removed.

It's very hard to say because the price can vary so much. You can find an engine for 400 euro or 2000 euro. Do you have the tools to do the swap. Do you have the time or experience. There are so many factors that it's impossible to answer. Being able to bargain is a huge plus.
