What an honor and privilege. Lucky guy. Thanks for sharing.
the only thing left is getting Roach to sign it and never remove the wrap.
Literally a pioneer. One of the GOATs. Mr. “It ain’t easy” himself. He doesn’t wrap anyone that isn’t a fighter under his wing these days.
An honor is an understatement.
I love the art of hand rapping man, such a technical thing to see
lmbo not even going to change it
JAJAJAJAJAJAJAA
Legend... still working hard.
It is almost art, isn't it? Thanks for he post...
What's amazing is Freddie Roach would actually take the time to wrap this kid's hands.
Good job man. This is the only video of him taping hands on youtube. It should have like a million views!
Work of art I've had my hands wrapped a few times but this is beautiful
Dream come truem
THE Freddie roach himself wrapping up your hands.
a grate insight into hand wraping!!!just wish it was a minute longer
Basically he's teaching us how to make a deadly weapon out of hand wraps and tapes.
Paddy Millon (RIP) wrapped hands and made them feel like a rock... he was the best at wrapping hands...
L A boxing gym, back in the day...
Freddie is A Legend
Why is this so relaxing
You could hear Manny Pacquiao in the background
pac pac boom lol
dont let that eye fool you. he kicked my ass in training when i went to the wild card to train. play'd no games
Freedi Roach is such a humble person very approachable! I went to the Wildcard Gym to train for my fight and they have the best inhouse sparring there!!! I will be back there soon for my next training camp! Big ups to the "WILD CARD GYM"
I saw him once and was to shy to talk to him
can you do the video one more time? but this time explaining everything you're doing and why you're doing it. please! I would realy like to learn how to wrap like that, looks like a very good wrap!
I use to know him when he started in micosukee
he was gonna talk about manny's style of wrapping... why you stop the clip so soon?
+Pounds Of Metal ikr wth
6:24 what is that :D
Freddie Roach is a legend by the way
Emanuel Stewar and Freddie roach are my favourite boxing trainer ever.
Hey, very good job ! I do it nearly the same way !!! And he is an lgendary person !!! Respect to him !
@loss7y you can use the actuall Gauze that you wrap your hands in to do that.. you just have to make padding yourself ahead of time which is very useful when your wrapping hands. if your ready ahead of time then thats less time to wrap your hands and more time to train.
I’ve heard it’s better to go from the top of the hand to the bottom of the hand when going between the knuckles because when you make a fist it tightens instead of going from the bottom of the hand to the top and it not tightening when you make a fist but regardless if I’m right or wrong, it would be such an honor to have your hands wrapped by Freddie Roach
does anyone know what material he used for the padding of the knuckles?0:52
Anyone knows how much is the wrap length?
Imagine the dude doesn’t know who Freddie roach is and he thinks he’s just some crazy old dude that’s at the gym all the time
That wrap is legal because the tape was one inch below the knuckle, the gauze at the end were still exposed, the finished product of wrapping for a boxer will always look bigger than the product of wrapping for a MMA fighter because of the padding used to protect the knuckles though it's always best to check with the state one is competing in before the hand wrapping process begins for guidelines.
Does anyone know what that pad is that he is using over the knuckles?
When I was teach while ago my trainer teach me almost the same the only difference is he use the pad before start wrapping your hands . Freddie use it in the middle of the process. He also never told me about the tape. Maybe cuz he teach me the old school way.i specifically don't know when they start using the tape. I heard about this when I got in the United States. so there's a lot of things that I need to learn in this sport
wrap the gauze round your own hand with fingers spread up to 12 to 16 times.this gives you the padding
Vendas Leroy, Mexicana 👊🏻🥊
@mersanary you can use regular gauze that you use to wrap your hands with. Use the Gauze to measure your hand size then go back and forward and side to side making a thick layer of knuckle pad. after that you should make as many as you can before hand that way you dont have to do it later. understand. Watch Jacob "stitch" Duran to learn how to do padding for mma and boxing. he's the best and thats how i wrap my hands now. it feels great and really works. if i can i'll post a video next time ok?
how long is that handwrap about 10m?
Who's gonna make the first freedie roach hand wrapper?
@Elchori79 He wears Winning mitts.
Is it legal ? Most hand wrapping starts with a gauze and finished with the tape least a inch below the knuckles, this really looked like a cast, such taping could cause cuts serious debilitating injuries, if this is legal than yes it was impressive.
@JackedDesign You can make it with gauze.
aw man! he's supposed to say something about pacquiao's wraps!
are those hand wraps 180"?
Gauze.
For training you can cut up some closed cell foam.
At the end it seemed like Freddy was gonna say "Manny Pacquiao likes a lot of tape".. This is not the way Freddy wraps Mannys hands, Freddy stacks Mannys wraps (He puts tape first, then gause, then tape again) this makes the wraps more like a cast, and protects the hands more. But at the same time it's cheating. Plus he puts extra rolled tape between the knuckiles, making a higher ridge/extra knuckles. (Broken orbital bones)
what is the name of the sponge that puts him on the knuckles?
Bryant Lobato gauze pad
Toilet paper works to save money.
Is this boxing regulations? or Is this for training only?
I was wondering if pro fighters wrap their hands like this every time they train or if they do it for the fight only.
+rottamato It's personal preference generally, but the top fighters in the world have someone wrap their hands like this for them every day. What you need to remember is that pro fighters have much better technique than you or I and are much faster with their punches. This means they can generate insane amounts of power, but they only have human hands of course, so the possibility for injury is very real, even in training. If they get injured they can't fight and lose money. That means they do everything they can to protect them. We might be able to whack a bag using a pair of five buck handwraps and get away with it, but any decent professional will hit far too hard to take that risk.
What did poor freddy say? Parkinsons has made it hard for me to correctly hear the 1st 10 or so words.
Does anyone else think this is kinda ASMR?
what is he using for the knuckles? There's another video where they're using toilet paper, you think is a good idea???
Luis Alvarado Gauze and yes most people like toilet paper better. But until you get more into the sport just stick with the fabric wraps, no point in wasting the money on all the gauze.
CanuckerMotherTrucker do you know how he made the gauze pad so big that wat I'm wondering ?
***** but how many times do I wrap around ? Sorry I just saw the comment
+alex feliciano (MANEATINGMAN) Wrap around as many times as you fancy just keep the following in mind:
If you're using a boxing glove, do more revolutions vs an MMA glove because there is more room. For boxing use 2" x 15 yard gauze for wrist wrap and part of a 2" x 10 yard roll for the knuckle pad, MMA glove just use a single 2" x 15 yard or even a 2" x 10 yard roll for the entire wrap.
Not much different than the Mexican way. Great job. 👏 I never knew how much goes into wrapping the hands..
lol is it ever gonna unrawp?
Lol, It's like 10 to 12 yards.
then you should know
5:49 you can here pacquiao
dang that man's wrist is deformed.
explaination for the loop at 1:17 ?
brad harris its to ball up the gauze to make a grip and the space in the palm
cesar jimenez thanks i actually figured it out an started doing it myself, its works great and thank you for answering

M
lol what happend to that guys eye :( (true warrior) 6:21
.... ok?
dude are you a pac fan
@labtecftw he has parkinsons dude
Manny likes to wrap his hands with twisting the tape in between the knuckles which is not allowed
Oh shut up... if it was illegal he would have gotten caught already
You just read that somewhere and believed it .
No tienes ni puñetera idea liando una vendas Shalom..
Its not that technical hand wrapping has a history and origins injuries are apart of fighting why prevent a broken hand or wrist when it comes with the game .True boxing has no need for all that seems to me that its contained with rules and laws to keep the best man down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Muy mal vendaje.
i don't think you have ears
Daym thts ANNOYING. Thy wrap it that MUCHHHH??
Who can understand him!!??? Lol
James Harris IV I can. This coming from a black guy, how ironic.

Show us how you wrap? Talk is cheap.
Maybe you like the Margarita way.
It's a good wrap.
