    Its not that technical hand wrapping has a history and origins injuries are apart of fighting why prevent a broken hand or wrist when it comes with the game .True boxing has no need for all that seems to me that its contained with rules and laws to keep the best man down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I’ve heard it’s better to go from the top of the hand to the bottom of the hand when going between the knuckles because when you make a fist it tightens instead of going from the bottom of the hand to the top and it not tightening when you make a fist but regardless if I’m right or wrong, it would be such an honor to have your hands wrapped by Freddie Roach

  • @rottamato

    I was wondering if pro fighters wrap their hands like this every time they train or if they do it for the fight only.

    • @SamHeaton264
      @SamHeaton264 8 років тому

      +rottamato It's personal preference generally, but the top fighters in the world have someone wrap their hands like this for them every day. What you need to remember is that pro fighters have much better technique than you or I and are much faster with their punches. This means they can generate insane amounts of power, but they only have human hands of course, so the possibility for injury is very real, even in training. If they get injured they can't fight and lose money. That means they do everything they can to protect them. We might be able to whack a bag using a pair of five buck handwraps and get away with it, but any decent professional will hit far too hard to take that risk.

    • @canuckermothertrucker2364
      @canuckermothertrucker2364 9 років тому

      Luis Alvarado Gauze and yes most people like toilet paper better. But until you get more into the sport just stick with the fabric wraps, no point in wasting the money on all the gauze.

    • @arcticwolf8313
      @arcticwolf8313 8 років тому

      +alex feliciano (MANEATINGMAN) Wrap around as many times as you fancy just keep the following in mind: If you're using a boxing glove, do more revolutions vs an MMA glove because there is more room. For boxing use 2" x 15 yard gauze for wrist wrap and part of a 2" x 10 yard roll for the knuckle pad, MMA glove just use a single 2" x 15 yard or even a 2" x 10 yard roll for the entire wrap.

    When I was teach while ago my trainer teach me almost the same the only difference is he use the pad before start wrapping your hands . Freddie use it in the middle of the process. He also never told me about the tape. Maybe cuz he teach me the old school way.i specifically don't know when they start using the tape. I heard about this when I got in the United States. so there's a lot of things that I need to learn in this sport
